Matthew did not reply her. He gave out a groan.
His eyes went to Aremu's shoe for the third in a row.
He asked AJ more questions.

“ Kelly didn't bother to call her old man? Did she not even worry or ask questions as to why her flight was delayed? You must have told her something. What did you tell her?

Aremu flared up instantly. A tsunami of guilt had hit him hard. Abruptly, he declared that the call was not his to make.

“ Seth Devin- Or this so called” Fero” as Jerry had identified him was given clearance as my second-in-command on that operation by this same agency. He told me that there were issues with the jet'

“ That's not the answer to my question” Matt said “ anyways, did you check to know if this was true or false?

“ Time was- ” he paused“ No. I trusted his judgement”

Matt laughed so hard.

He cut Aremu short again. “ I've known you never to trust easily. You never do, unless you have something to gain in return”

Matthew needed more concrete proof to put AJ in heavier chains.

"Itoro' Matthew said
' Sir! " The young man replied.

"Call Kelechi Ndu and tell him to take down those pictures. Threaten him with death if possible”

He was serious with this.
" O--kayy" Itoro said drawing in between his lips
“ Listen up! Matthew turned to the crew in the Emerge-room 001, the tech guys and level 2 Agents. “ I want every single info on that hotel. The time the Entourage had checked in and out. The ambassador said his daughter never called in to check. I doubt the phones were all dead at the time. Calls went in and out of that hotel, get me a log. Who called who and who missed who? Lets get the ball rolling everyone"

The house became busy.

On impulse, I noticed that AJ and Rumeh Kadiri exchanged glances. The both quickly disengaged eye contacts in seconds.
I was shocked to see that Matthew noticed this too, our eyes locked in a gaze. I signalled him that it meant something.

He waved it. Shake his head sideways meaning I should forget it. He called Itoro and I to a corner.
He wanted info about the forensics team back at the murder scene of Stella Chaltone, who had killed her and why?

“ ....that sir” Private Itoro Abasi began “ was what I wanted to tell you earlier this morning before the raid.”

“ Hmmmmmm? Matt asked surprised at the tone of it “ You knew she was dead?

“ No. I didn't . Yet I may not know exactly who killed her but I think I may have found someone linked to it”

Making sure no one stared our way, he reluctantly came closer. Mattew's eye popped when Itoro whispered into his ear. Immediately his eyes located two people. One was downstairs, on uniform: Rumeh Kadiri, and the other one upstairs: Bukky Alakara. The president.

He did not show discomfort when she stared back at him. He simply gave a nod which she acknowledged.

He patted Itoro's shoulders proudly.
“ Who is it? I asked.

" Dont worry! " Matthew said “ I will-”

At the moment, his phone rang. He picked up the dial. A voice demanded to speak with the POTFRON.

Rushing upstairs, he signalled me to follow him.

Itoro , Sam and Gerrard Finder rushed too.

Bukky ordered the call to be put on loudspeakers. Everyone in the office except those downstairs could hear the convo. Sam had activated the sound proof in her office by pressing a remote control.

She quickly, silently told Itoro to track the caller. He rushed downstairs, to the amusement of everyone. He grabbed a laptop from the nearest table, took some cords and alighted the stairs almost in a flash.

“ Please be loud. I can bearly hear you” Bukky spoke in reply.

“ Good morning your excellency.” A deep voice repeated“ Sorry I'm reaching out to you this late”

“ Who are you please?

“ My name is Sethaniel Devin. And I have in custody three senators and one young inventor. A very pretty lady, you should see the youth in her eyes to believe me”

The ambassador made way to speak up but Gerrard pacified him.

“ Mr Seth? Hello? I must tell you that you are playing with fire. And to be light on this note it may burn where you least presume. ” She continued“ Anyways what do you want? And how sure am I that you still have the hostages, alive and unharmed?

“ Fire? I am the fire you should be afraid of ” Seth laughed into the phone “ And you said hostages? They are my guests. But they won't be for long if you don't comply to the following terms.

1) In 22 hours or less you will release from prison a convict whose details, I will disclose to you in another conversation on phone. So stand by (II) The U S government in exchange for their citizen will lift the current sanctions on Immigration into their country.
(III) Collectively, you are to pay the sum of 80 million naira as ransom for the Senators and the lady, you must put old bills of 1000 naira each in the convoy carrying the prisoner, that's 80, 000 bills of #1000 each.”

“ Okay ” Bukky heaved a sigh of relief“ I -”

“ All these conditions must be met accordingly” he cut in“ Failure to do so, you risk a nuclear bio-weapon launch. I'll bury the ASO Villa under a pile of dead bodies and by the time your scientists realise whats going on, they are all dead too”

I scoffed to the man's bluffing. In my mind Im like “ Oga Seth. las las , You are talking in the rubbish , you are talking in the nonsense. What you are talking is not having any sense.. Its not having any bearing...”

“ So --” Bukky tried to find the words. She drew me out of my thoughts.

Ambassador Green could not hold it back anymore“ Listen here Mr Seth. Or should I say Mr. Fero?

“Yes, Son , we know who you are. Son, I must make one thing clear to you, three Infact, the United States does not and will not negotiate with terrorists. ”

“Secondly , I swear to God, if you so much as lay a finger on the tips of her hair, goddammit, I will make you regret the day you were born.”

“And finally, Wherever you are, run , hide because we will hunt you down, even to the ends of the earth-”

“ Mr Green! Nice to hear from you” Seth cut in enthusiastically. His voice grew even deeper “ Kelly missed you. A second there, I thought you were not already acquainted with my identity. It was starting to get boring”

He said “ I'm not afraid of you. Rather I am afraid of what the Android device in your daughter's possession can do to everyone of you.”

“Now, you sonofabitch, listen to me_”

“ No! You listen to me! Seth snapped” I'm not done here. I have a drone pilot , armed with the coordinates of the French bio- missiles and Russian subs. It's called “ Caiden: the demons voice” or was it known as Project ” Nightingale in 1993 ? You know better. One mistake , just one and everything could be lost to fire or bio-hazard. I hope you explain to them the deadly ripples of mass destruction this Android device can wrought in minutes.”

He paused ” For your daughter's sake I hope you do”

A brief silence followed.
He said “ And good luck finding me. I'll be waiting”

The lines went dead after a shrieking laughter from Seth echoed in the office.

“ Did you get it? Samantha asked Itoro.

He shook his head sideways “ Nothing”
Matthew banged his fist against a table. "Dammit!”

Everyone else stood dumbfounded until I asked “What just happened?

“ Revelation! ” Matthew replied.
