Congratulations to you. There are still some early July apllicants yet to get their visas. Did you use education bond? dkmdebugin: |
It is almost the same mail I received from Abuja embassy. You will soon get ur visa even before the date u were asked to send a reminder. Hope u are tracking it via UPS. Louiscares: |
For those who submitted in Lagos, you should know that the date VFS forwarded ur application to Embassy in Abuja might be different from the day it was received by the embassy. I submitted my application on 8th of July in Lagos and it was forwarded to Abuja on 9th (the next day) but the embassy told me that my application was received in their office on the 11th. For you who submitted ur apllication on July 3rd, maybe there's a mistake somewhere because it cannot take weeks to reach Abuja embassy. It might only take few days. So I think ur application has been with them since and they are working on it. You will get good news soon. candyluv15: |
Heading to University of Limerick but yet to get my visa. Congrats to u. SweetestGirl: |
Ireland embassy has just updated new visa decisions today. Check the link to see if ur reference number is there. Note that this is for applications that were processed in Dublin. The embassy in Abuja sent some applications there to reduce the workload. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Visa%20Decisions |
No, you are getting it twisted. Mine has been showing 'Shipment ready for UPS' since July 8th when i submitted till now. When your documents arrive UPS facility, they will update the delivery date. Don't get ahead of urself. Awesometreasure: |
updated to what? that is the normal update on the UPS website for all applications. Ur application has not yet arrived UPS facility as stated below and is still probably at the embassy. When UPS is ready for you, the delivery date will be updated on the website. Wish u goodluck. Awesometreasure:

Please, don't say what u are not sure of. There is nothing like prestige of the school. The embassy processes applications in a chronological order (by order of submission). If you are following updates on this thread - you will see that applicants from other schools have gotten their visas according to the dates of submission. Check and you will see those from DBS, Griffith, Limerick, Cork and even Athlone Institute who got their visas in chronological order. So there's nothing like prestige of the school in determining the processing of appllications. The only reasonable thing to say in this case is that some applications were sent to Dublin to reduce the workload in Abuja and the arrival of new visa officers, maybe that's why some were processed fast breezy147:

You are lucky. alusiala: |
Congrats to all those who have gotten visas. There are still some early July applicants who are yet to receive their visas. Maybe the embassy is now processing applications randomly not by chronological order. |
Congrats to u. When was ur visa stamped on ur passport and when did u receive it? mightyola: |
Any more June applicants still waiting for their visas? Check the link below to see if your application reference number is there. (that is for those whose app were processed in Dublin). http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Visa%20Decisions |
I just contacted the visa office in Dublin and was told my application is being processed in Abuja. The Ireland embassy in Abuja confirmed this. So guess its not all applications that are being sent to Dublin. The number of students going to Ireland increased this year. |
Ok. Congratulations. Guess it will arrive in few days time. Zubby101: |
Thank you for confirming this. U said yesterday that UPS hadn't updated ur package yet. So have u finally gotten the visa? Have you received ur documents? Zubby101: |
Can anybody who has gotten his or her visa confirm this.. Check the date ur visa was stamped on ur passport and check the date visas were approved on the link below to see if ur reference number is there. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Visa%20Decisions I think this is for those who originally submitted in Dublin. nua07: |
iwriterng only stated the obvious truth which everyone knows that our leaders have failed us. Why are you people now criticizing him for saying what even Buhari knows its true. I schooled in University of Nigeria (UNN) and I have professors that never even came to class to teach for one day, we (students) only saw them during exams. Yet I struggled, studied their handouts and still came out with a good result. That does not mean the system is working WELL. The former VC of UNN, Prof Bartho Okolo spent most of his time in India during his tenure. Till now, nobody knows why he chose the South Asian country as a "vacation" spot but students and staff hated him badly. We even revolted against him and held a violence protest during his absence. Whether you like it or not, our leaders have failed us. I still had few lecturers who can never give student an A in their course no matter how intelligent or brilliant the person is. Most of our lecturers derive joy when students fail their courses..this means they are "tough". The worst part is that the teachers themselves won't even teach. Or should I talk about how some of our computer graduates don't know how to operate Microsoft word or to format a system. Abi na lecturers wey dey only pass students wey buy their handouts. The system is really shitty but we still strive to soar high and come out excellent due to our determination. We are responsible for our sucess. N.B iwriterng never criticised the school degree but the education system which is a fact unless you want to keep deceiving urself. Our system, is below standard For now there is nothing we can do than to get a better education abroad and may be come back in the future to invest in the system. fairheart: |
Please know the kind of information you are passing out on this thread. This has repeated severally that it the information is NOT for Nigerians. It's only for those who submitted in Dublin. Read the post well. anthony24: |
I don't understand. Is it via UPS that you tracked that it will be delivered on August 15th? If your documents have arrived UPS, then the embassy has since settled ur case, it should now be an issue of delivery. Today is 20th.... Can you please post a screenshot of what you tracked for better clarification. akinonigbinde: |
Seriously, I just don't know what's up with Ireland embassy. They should know that students have just few weeks to resume. They should hasten up and issue visas abeg |

Report has it that the family of Elozino Joshuana Ogege who was gruesomely murdered four days after she was declared missing last year, are still heartbroken following the way the case is going. Elozino Ogege, a 300 level student of Mass Communication, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, was abducted and killed in November 2018. Her corpse was found buried in a bushy area in Umege after she was murdered by internet fraudsters otherwise known as ‘Yahoo boys’ who abducted the victim for ritual purpose with the support of a security staff, Onos Ekana, who worked in Site III of the university campus. The security man who was arrested earlier – later confessed to the crime and revealed those also involved after severe interrogations at the State CID. The lead he gave led to the arrest of two other suspects who are said to be ‘Yahoo Boys’ who reside in Umege, a settlement in Abraka. According to Comr.Obawharievbo Onajite, despite the arrests of the suspects involved in the crime, justice is not being served as the family of the deceased are still in deep pain. It was learnt that on the 18th of March 2019 in high court 1 Asaba, one of the culprits, a sister to the killer who was indicted in the murder - was set free by the Judicial head of the state on the grounds of Nolle Proseque claiming she's a minor. The family of the deceased are not happy with this development as they are afraid that at the next court sitting, another accused will be set free by the court as they feel there's power from above involved in setting the culprits free. The family is calling for the support and presence of the general public at high court 1 Asaba on Wednesday 17 April by 9am, to rally around for justice to prevail. A man from Umuchu area in Anambra state, has taken to social media to celebrate the death of a man who passed away recently. According to Bonaventure Mokwe, the deceased named Chinedu Onuoha a.k.a 'Gbaloto', was among those who allegedly planted human skulls and a gun in his hotel 'Upper Class', which led to its demolition. Gbaloto died in an accident and Bonaventure Mokwe took to Facebook to celebrate the death. Read what he shared on Facebook below. The pictures bellow is that of one Chinedu Onuoha alias " Gbaloto". He is from Enugu state. He participated in the planting of human skulls and rusted gun in my Upper Class Hotel. The other one called Ejima was shot in the face at Awkuzu sars Anambra state. According to what is being said, he had an accident and died and I have opened a bottle of Remy Martin to celebrate his death. So long as the demolition of my Upper Class Hotel remains unsolved, there will never be a minute rest for every idiot that is involved. I am equally willing to go down if necessary and that again will never end the matter. Very sad but it is the family culture and tradition. Goodluck to us all.
