Sorry for the late reply. Yes, you have to choose from the day your school will start because that is when it will start counting Attaj: |
Yes, it will be sent to your email. Be patient. dapreal: |
A nairalander just posted this lovely video of University of Limerick, my lovely school. Make una see beauty. Watch the video below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cl0UPOq6DAs |
This is my university oo but COVID no let person flex the school well. It is well |
That is why it is called Masters, it has to be tough. We complain about inferior education in Nigeria and we still complain about education abroad...they are not the same because the lecturers want you to know the course inside out, hence too much assignments. Masters is very tough abroad, you can ask those in Germany what they are passing through including their tough marking scheme. Ireland is still learning when it comes to education if compared with Germany. As regards job, you have to take the bull by the horns in search for it....Look for jobs both online and offline. I am student of the University of Limerick and I just got a part time job on Monday (yesterday), same day I got my PPS number. I have two jobs because I am allowed to work 40 hours during the holiday. I have already started working and many of my friends have gotten jobs too including full time jobs. It was not easy but we got the jobs. It is not easy anywhere in the world. If you are waiting for things to be soft for you because you are abroad, then you are on a long thing. Wish you all the best oyinthread: |
Stan with whomever you like, do whatever you want..It's your concern |
We? because you are the owner of Nairaland. It's like you write first before you reason... Between you and ICASng, who looks like someone with ulterior motive. She has contributed immensely on this thread more than you but you wouldn't know that or you know but choose to feign ignorance. waynee2baba: |
You are calling the moderator on someone who is more useful than you on this thread. Someone who created the thread sef and someone who has wealth of travel information more than you. You should really be ashamed of yourself boy. |
I will keep engaging you till you stop derailing this thread. Keep calling the moderator...Las las our comments will be deleted and people will still travel to Ireland |
That's what I am telling you. You can have the conversation somewhere else not on this thread. This thread is for Ireland student visa. Why not create your own thread for your blind arguments and look for customers. waynee2baba: |
BECAUSE YOU ARE DERAILING THE THREAD....Why is that so hard for you to comprehend...oh, I forget that one needs common sense to understand basic things. waynee2baba: |
I deliberately decided not to quote you because I know what you are looking for but since you have decided to quote, I am here for you. I don't think you know the meaning of vulgar because I am yet to even start. What are you trying to achieve with this useless comparison between UK and Ireland,so people in Ireland should die or what? You really had to go through my posts to know who I am but I dont have to go through yours because from your few comments here, it can be deduced that you lack acute reasoning. Who sent you to post comparisons here. You should be comparing your life with those in Ireland not comparing both countries. BTW, you can't even force anyone to choose when it's not your money. Grow up and stop displaying your foolishness here waynee2baba: |
You will never achieve your aim here because it appears you were sent to discourage people. Just imagine going to Dubai thread here on Nairaland to say that Ireland is better than Dubai, who that one concern. Everybody must not go to UK, everybody must not go to Ireland also. Allow people to choose for themselves. So I could have waited for another year before doing my Masters abroad because of the recently announced 2 years post study visa by UK, it is very obvious you don't have sense. |
Spot on.. I don't know why you even quoted him because it appears he lacks common sense. He is claiming to be a researcher but is deficient in reasoning. ICaSNg: |
Some people have serious wahala. Why come to this section to pass information that UK is better than Ireland, who send you. There are also countries that are far better than UK in every aspect and yet life is still going on. What are you trying to achieve with this senseless comparison. If UK is the best country in the world, why not go/stay there and enjoy your life. You can even become the British prime minister, we no send. Must everybody go to UK. I believe that people on this thread have eyes to see UK thread here on Nairaland but still decided to pursue Ireland and yet you are forming researcher. Please, carry your research somewhere else where it will be useful. This is Ireland student visa thread, no one needs your advice. If we need information about UK, we will go to the right thread. Please, stay in your lane and don't try to derail this thread with your baseless arguments and comparison. smh |
You are not even getting the fact. 3 years and 5 years for what? Permanent residence abi Citizenship. It's like u dont know what it takes to become a citizen of Ireland. U are still confusing it with PR. Just post one legit link about 3 years for CITIZENSHIP not PR. U should use google to enlighten urself. U can believe it or not. It is what it is. I rest my case abuhusna1: |
I was not even referring to the student aspect but how one can get permanent residency and citizenship. Of course, year of study doesn't count in Ireland but time after graduation matters. You are still wrong in ur previous answer. It takes longer time to get citizenship than PR. They are two different things. I wonder how u came about with 3 years abuhusna1: |
I have answered ur question above. You should learn to use google to do research for urself as regards to this type of question. Go to Ireland immigration website before someone misleads u. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Home Femi0078: |
THIS IS TOTALLY FALSE, make sure u know what u are saying before answering questions in order not to mislead others. There is a big difference between PERMANENT RESIDENCY (PR) and CITIZENSHIP. You can apply for PR after living legally in Ireland for five years while you must prove that you have been legally resident in Ireland for at least 5 years out of the last 9 years to become a citizen. Go to Ireland immigration site or google to check for urself. http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/WP16000022 abuhusna1: |
It's because summer application period has passed. Just few schools offer admissions in January, so no need for here to be busy. Wait for May, June, July and August next year before u can conclude. Yemiiee: |
Keep ur NONSENSE advice to urself. I don't know why some people do not like to mind their business. I have friends who have gone to Germany and they are all doing fine in their respective careers. Why don't u give examples with people who have made it abroad, u are telling us about ur friend who is doing menial job and is depressed ..wetin come concern us with that one. That Mr A does not make it - doesn't mean Mr B will not make it because it is not everybody that is making it even in Nigeria. U are a real busy body. Since u know how to give advice, why have u not turned a millionaire yet. jonsing man Coldie: |
Please, try and book accommodation if u can.. it is important. I used a valid card which had money but nothing was taken from it till the scheduled date. Just make sure u book the hotel that has cancellation and refund policy Chibabe4Christ: |
Sorry for the late reply. UL is a standard school in Ireland and the level of education here is top notch. Nothing is rural about the area because this is a developed and civilised country. There are student jobs here but u will have to hustle for them. EddyNumerouno: |
Tell me which country is easy.. EVERYWHERE IS HARD.... don't get it twisted. Eroms99: |
It will definitely cost u money that's why u have to begin saving now.. But i don't think it will cost u that much due to the conversion rate of Euros. All the information u need about Canada migration is here on Nairaland. With ur degree, the main thing u need to do is write the IELTS exam and aim for a high score. Things will become easy from there. You can start now to plan ahead of the move and in some months time, apply for Express Entry. https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs You can still check the travel section here while doing ur research and u will be surprised what u will find. Wish u all the best bro. E go soft for u las las. Bjrokenhear003: |
Yes, working more than 20 hours a week during school period is a reason for refusal of visa renewal. This is clearly stated on their website. I don't know why some people think they are smarter than the system. A student's primary aim in Ireland is to study not to work, and once the person works more than expected, then it is assumed that he or she is not a genuine student. Some Nigerians think the authorities won't notice if they work more than 20 hours a week, which is a big fallacy. You can work up to 40 hours a week during holidays but not when school is in session. We should learn to abide by simple rules. Bjrokenhear003: |
please need a reply asap. thanks
