A Nigerian man based in South Africa has shared his story after welcoming his first baby after 9 years of marriage. The man who revealed he , he got married late at the age of 39 and his wife 35 -said that they did not marry as early as they would both want to due to errors caused by circumstances, including ignorance.

The man also revealed how he refused to marry a lady due to her educational qualifications. He later married another lady 10 years after the lady he loved so much but never told her -married another man.

According to him, he discovered his wife was an 'outcast' after many years of childlessness as they began asking themselves questions. Finally, they did their restitution with intense prayer and fasting before the miracle came.

Pictured is former governor of Taraba state; Danbaba Suntai, with his wife Mrs Hauwa Suntai celebrating the Valentine's day at the hospital yesterday. The former governor who was involved in a plane crash while in office -was all smiles as his caring wife joined him to mark the special day.

Suntai's current travails started precisely on October 25, 2012, when a private plane he piloted crashed in Yola, the Adamawa State capital. After receiving the initial treatment at the Adamawa Standard German Hospital in Yola he was later transferred to the National Hospital Abuja on October 26, 2012.

From there he was flown to Germany and was later taken to a rehabilitation centre in the United States for further medication.

A total of 162 Nigerians stranded in the Islamic Republic of Libya were returned back home today and received by the National Emergency Management Agency along with the office of the Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Matters. A chartered flight that brought the returnees arrived the cargo wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport where they were officially received at about 4pm.

Director General of NEMA was represented by the Deputy Director Search and Rescue Dr Onimode while the Special Assistant to the President Hon Abike Dabiri was represented by Mr Abdulrahman Balogun.

Breakdown of the returnees as given by Dr Onimode shows that 61 of them were males and 101 females. He further explained that among the males were 2 children and 7 infants while the females had 7 children and 2 infants.

He also said that the return of the stranded Nigerians were facilitated by the International Organization for Migration as on arrival, they were profiled, fed and assisted back to their various towns and homes.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola on Sunday joined Muslims in Osun State to offer special prayer for the nation, particularly for quick recovery and safe return of President Muhammadu Buhari to the country.

The prayer which took place at the secretariat of the Osun State Muslim Community in Osogbo, capital of Osun State was organised in honour of the Deputy President-General of Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) who is also the President of Muslim Ummah of South-West, (MUSWEN), Dr Sakariyau Olayiwola Babalola.

A man and his motorcycle got trapped in a gutter following a terrible accident involving a tipper truck which happened on Sokoto road along Kano round-about, Zaria, Kaduna state. The people in the area mobilized themselves to rescue the injured man. According to an eyewitness, Bukhari Ahmed, the man lost one of his legs in the crash.
