I'm here again. Still waiting on Shippyme to reply one of my comments. What's going on with you people? I have 5 items with you which I intend selling to my customers in Lagos. After charging 27950NGN I was charged another 8420NGN for no reason. I managed to squeeze my pocket and lent the rest of the fee from a friend in anticipation of receiving my items soon. I have not received any updates in 3weeks after amazon has delivered to shippyme. Are you guys waiting for the value to depreciate before you deliver or you are hoping to rip me off more? I do not have any more money to pay you guys and I am also willing to fight you with all I've got if you dont deliver to me ASAP. How do you guys run your business? Are you trying to ruin my business for the growth of yours? I'm beginning to blame myself for patronizing you. After paying all required fee I'm still yet to receive an update from you. Is this what you call a growing courier? Even fedex or dhl wont charge me 200$ for those items. I regret dealing with you. No nairalander should patronize Shippyme because its another way of growing heart attack.

Thier service is good sometimes, sometimes its bad...

from my oersonal experience, i've been using them since last year... thier MAIN PROBLEM is with customer relationship and communication.

when there's a problem, they dont keep you in the loop. they always say they dont get emails. they take forever to reply emails even when they'll admit they got them.

keep in mind that all these are simple problems to fix. e.g notice above that their nairaland rep says they never got the email i sent, theats because they do not use a ticketing system to track issues or customer complaints.

please note...when you create a booking on our behalf, you prepare it for shipment "prepared for shipping" at amazing speed. when i requested for an edit earlier, rather than help me, you said its no longer possible because it has been prepared for shipping.
In fact you sent me notification that my item had been "received" by 5:50pm on friday evening (June 5)....way after your normal working hours...
then you sent me another notification by 5:51pm on the same friday evening with a "prepared for shipping" status.

Now that is amazing speed..

If i cannot change the details of my shipment after its been "prepared for shipping"....

1) how could i have changed the details on my package.
2) why have you not replied my email with instructions to remove insurance from the shipment you created or...let me edit it myself.

Stop telling your customers you will fix the problem and just fix it.
its really simple. I Don't want insurance as a default for my packages..
i can understand if you do not consolidate by default. but no insurance unless i ask for it.

i've noticed, you guys are kinda lazy on your private channels, but respond faster on the public one..(nairaland). thats why i keep coming back here. thats not a very good model for customer relationship...

Funny how you can quickly prepare an item for shipping, but take forever to reply messages.

i've asked in the past that you cancel your automatic insurance on my packages. i do not want to insure a tube of shaving cream i bought for 10 dollars and end up paying 17 dollars to ship.

your disregard for my instructions and refusal to respond to my requests show that you are not a customer centric company like you claim.

Please explain why in God's earth you would create a booking for me and not let me edit the parameters...unless i send you an email which you would not reply until over 24 hrs after.

Please note that we are constantly adjusting our system to meet up with Customer demands. The need to create a booking for a customer arise when packages are delivered prior to booking. In order to secure your items, a booking is created for you with the default option of INS and Office pickup in Lagos which can be edited upon request.

The INS is selected by default because we encourage Customers to take insurance cover for their items.

Hence, please send a mail to info@shippyme.com Quoting the booking number(s) and request for Insurance to be removed and it will be responded to by the processing Team. Thank you.

I believe this is an issue with dimensional weight. Within the US which is ground shipping, the freight cost is determined by the actual weight. But, if it is international the Freight cost is determined from the higher of either the actual weight or dimensional weight.

You are right to an extent and I felt this way before.
These guys I have just concluded are jokers and they will eventually mess you up.
I was one of those that stood up for them when they got attacked here but now even I have been burnt twice.
A word of advice, do not use these guys except your heart is made of steel else you will nearly go crazy.
Last time I missed some of my orders and it took ages to find it, during this period communication was awful. They did find the items but they came in toooooooo late for them to be used for what was intended. Someone needs to tell them polite customer service is great when it actually helps with information, polite customer service that is clueless or does nothing but just talk politely is irritating as hell.
Like person wey no dey learn, I placed another order recently, a time sensitive order for something I feel they could bring in on time - tiny order, very easy to get to me on time I thought, all my items arrived their office in the US in about 3 days, I paid for next day shipping for all the items because of timing, despite even showing me pictures of all the items, one of my items is still showing as not arrived. For this reason my items have not shipped or ready for shipping, I can't make payment too because I don't know what to pay. From the minute I noticed this, I have sent half a dozen mails, please mark the items as received so that my goods can get in on time.. Remember they are time bound..... Story... It's now day 6 and nothing still.

I will never use these guys again.
Whoever owns this business needs to know he had a good thing going but totally messed it up
If ever one is to write about how small businesses fail in Nigeria, please put this company for mind.

I am already trying to buy the item I ordered though them locally again, can you just imagine that.

Avoid Shippyme like a plague, you have been warned.

You can not edit the delivery address yourself after placing a booking. You will need to send us a mail for this request. Please state in the mail your preferred option and the address you want to change to and we will have it updated. Please note that you will be charged for Local Freight. And the booking quoted has already been assigned to batch leaving the US. Hence send this details as soon as possible.

Finally, I got my orders on Monday after SIX Month..... ( Order since November 2014 which was intentionally made to target the December market. But I got No order till May 2015). They gave numerous excuse whereas between that same time I had to use another shipping company (Sgkglobal) and got my goods in less than 2weeks between same november and many times in December, even in febraury and march. But Shippyme refused to deliver my others with them. Whereas this other companies don't charge you until your good's arrive. They send it down then when it arrives Nigeria they bill you. Am not trying to campaign for any company here, but am only given an honest review...




Anyway that's the end of my doing business with you. No thanks to you at all... When you guys guffed, u come up with several excuse " like this latest one of "new Management"..........

Before I Go, I have 2 profer a solution for you I don't jst criticise alone.... I would advice, instead of collecting the frieght money first from the customers before you send down the good to Nigeria, while not send it down first then on getting to the country before clients pick them up they make payment. I think with this approach you will seat up. You will be focused on sending goods down by every means. And be more business conscious and on your toes. Maybe when you implement this I might try you out again..(because that's what other companies like "SGKglobal.com" are doing.

Customer service hardly replies emails and when Umar does it's unhelpful. Ah!! And i was about buying a tablet from ebay hoping shippyme will assist me in bringing it here real fast. Am quite astonished by the complains here and on other sites. I have never used shippyme but i remember using circuit atlantic to ship a phone from ebay. It was meant to take 16 days but i got it in about a month. The joy of seeing it waived my anxiety.
But for me to be expecting a product for upward of 3months as the complaints have revealed is a NO! NO! for me. Thank God i came here before clicking PAY!

My experience
My initial perception of the e -Merchant circuit atlantic has been one of a 5 star performance, even referring them to colleagues , friends and family . However as year go by, they have shown they are not organised , declining in services delivery , and on many occasions failed to deliver products purchased
I get constant reply of "we have escalated to our US team".

Sometime in 2014 , I ordered for 2 phones of different makes, and they delivered 2 of same make. I let it go.

A colleague ordered for some fashion accessories of less then $50 , and they delivered to her someone else's Apple Mac air laptop, 2 iphones, 2 PlayStation game pads of thousand of dollars. She had to return them

These are the latest orders I made, considering the very small dollar value.

A Nautica perfume ordered to mark the birthday of a beloved friend, until now was never delivered

1410148053: Shipped Since last Nov 2014 (5 months counting)
Honda touch up paint, which i wanted to use on small dings, marks from okada and keke riders. May have been delivered in planet Jupiter

I hope i share the same displeasure with some Nairalanders.

Wow, these just confirmed my fears. Shippyme QoS as seriously dropped since the last time i used them.

I also have similar issue, Since January 20th when they received my last order for my package i'm yet to get them. Yet on their platform it's been displaying processing for delivery. I've called and also been to their pick up points countless times only to be disappointed each time.

Each time i call it's a different story. No two person will tell you the same thing whenever you call. It's always conflicting stories.

I was lastly told my items were forgotten in the US, still awaiting the arrival, another 3 weeks as passed since i heard that story. I wonder if they ship their goods instead of using the stipulated air freight they sell to their customers.
