Hi Shippyme Customer Service, I booked a shipment on 19th December last year S1412199445. I sent a mail on your platform since Monday inquiring about the status of my shipment, I'm yet to get any response. The earlier questions I had asked were given vague answers - That they were being expected and my account will be updated when received. I interprete this to mean: go relax somewhere and whenever we collect it, we'll let you know, even if its December.

Can you please let me know the exact reason for the delay and when I should expect to receive them?

Best Regards,
Hello Musa,

We regret any inconvenience. This is a Sea Freight order that was shipped on Feb. 19, 2015 and usually takes 8 to 10 weeks to deliver. We are expecting the shipment to arrive in April. After which you will be updated. Thank you.

since i have given up on getting replies to my emails, or calling your customer care numbers, i have decided to use this medium, and hope for the LOVE of peace, somebody responds.

1, why are the weights on my packages clearly exaggerated.
2, why are shipments being created on my behalf with insurance selected even tho i have never insured any of my shipments in the past.
3, why is there no option to manage shipments created by shippyme on my account. it is after-all, my account...
4, why does shippyme customer service still operate on a 24hrs for email replies policy.

i have tried to delete the following shipments, S1503127029, S1503113839 and S1502175270 and sent an email to your team, but received no response. i have also called your nigerian customer service and they have refused or are unable to help. Hello,

Your request has been fulfilled. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us. Sequel to our conversation today at our office, we have alerted the US Team to merge your existing bookings to the one created by you. That will be resolved within 24 hours.

In response to your points above;

1. The weights were not exaggerated, we charge the higher of either the dimensional or actual weight of the package. Yours was charged based on the dimensional weight.

2. That is a default option selected when no booking has been created for received items.

3. You can use the edit option on your bookings to manage any of your shipments provided it has not been prepared for shipping. Else, you will need to send us an email to such request.

4. We are doing our best to improve on this, we currently have many email requests coming in daily. But, you are rest assured to be responded to within 24 hours.

Thank you.

Good morning Shippyme,

I am grossly annoyed at your below par services. I made payment for a shipment since about the first of December only to have it get to me for more than 6 freaking weeks late!! At least I tried to understand that the Customs Issues affected you guys given the time of the year only to open my package and find out two of my items are missing at your office and your customer desk person said it was left behind in the US.

PROFESSIONAL SHIPPING COMPANIES DON'T GIVE THESE LAME EXCUSES!!!!

You guys promised that I'd have my items in 12 days and this is what....1 MONTH LATER. This will likely be the last time I use you guys but please I need my remaining items back and since your people didn't have the sheer decency and decorum to follow up with a customer on his items, I am now here to officially ask for my items.

PLEASE, WHERE ARE MY REMAINING ITEMShuh? angry

Hello,

We regret any inconvenience. We have escalated the issue on your remaining package and it has been assigned to the next batch of Shipment. Your package would be shipped out this Friday. Going forward, you would not be experiencing such delays again. Thank you.

@Planetuzor, You said same last year but we seem to be getting better and stronger in the business. We have overcome our trying times, Customer satisfaction is our main goal now. Those who have used us recently will testify to that.

Its clear to us that a few Customers are hurt because they didn't receive the quality services they expected but a few others just want us out of business. This becomes our driving force to strive harder for success as well as improve on the quality of the services that we render to ensure customer satisfaction. And so far the Customer feedback have really been helpful. Thank you all.

i believe you guys are past the trying periods now. i was not totally happy sometimes back with your services, being a Nigerian and knowing how Nigeria is, i know everything can not work perfectly in this country. it has been nice doing business with shippyme for more than a year now. and after everything that has happened, i will be glad to continue doing business with you guys. After speaking with Mr. Adis, i am convinced you guys will get better and stronger day by day. I have used lots of shippers but shippyme still offer me the best service so far.

Please work on a way to find a permanent solution to your past problems, and i pray God gives you guys the strength to always satisfy your customers. there is no way there wont be complains, but try as hard as you can to always give your best at all times.
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to inform you that we have past trying times. We have several adjustments to the Company's setup, which we believe will improve the quality of services that we offer.

I believe as a Customer, you have the right to question us and complain when we fail to deliver. Strong customer feedback like yours helps us continue to improve the service we provide, and we appreciate the time you took to write us your thoughts.

Going forward, be assured of quality services henceforth. Thank you.

Please stay away from this guys. I've used them 3 times already and i can tell you something will always come up. I shipped my items to them over a month now, I've called several times, still no progress. I can assure you shippyme, that at this rate you guys will be out of business this time next year. Good idea but bad execution.

For people that buy from amazon, you can try shipping directly to Nigeria. It might be slightly more expensive but you're guaranteed to receive your items on time.
Hello,

We are sorry to hear that. Please can we have your booking reference number so that we can look into the matter? Thank you.
BusinessRe: Shippyme Customer Care Thread On Nairaland by Catlanta(op): 10:17am On Feb 04, 2015
Hello. Thanks for taking the time to look at the situation objectively. We value feedback like this as it helps us improve the quality of our service. This is something we have had our software engineers looking into and we are on the verge of making a few changes to the system. The "extra costs" are actually a function of the fluctuating exchange rate currently being experienced. A situation we did not forsee. Normally the invoices are calculated on the system but we'll have someone make a manual recalculation and reconcile the account based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase. As mentioned earlier, we'll have a permanenet fix for this issue for all our customers shortly. Thanks again.
teemy:
Hi, I have an order that has been pending since November last year. All my calls have ended up with 'we will look into it' all to no avail. Invoice 1412185820 was created with an intial cost of 9,533.19. Three deposits were made towards my jejepay account

1411180203 : 10,000 : 19/Nov/2014 06:30PM GMT

1411180203 : 130 : 24/Nov/2014 05:18PM GMT

296305439 : 500 : 28/Nov/2014 12:18AM GMT

Total : N10,630

So when the initial invoice was created I was debited N9,533.19 which gave a zero balance on the invoice and a (10,630 - 9,533.19 = ) N1,096.81 credit balance to be on my jejepay account.

When the new invoice cost was created (which I know is normal), A final charge of N10,506.92 was presented and given that an extra (10,506.92 - 9,533.19 = ) N973.73 was charged. My balance of N1,096.81 was enough to cater for the extra 973.73 leaving (1,096.81 - 973.73) N123.08 which should be my jejepay balance.

Another way to look at it is my total deposit minus total cost which is (N10,630 - N10,506.92 = ) N123.08

Now my jejepay credit balance reads N123.07 (I can live with the 0.01 difference) but the bone of contention is that my order has not been processed due to my final invoice balance which should be reading zero is reading minus N973.73. The exact same extra charge that came with the invoice which means someone made that extra charge twice.

I have called those at the customer care several times and was promised two weeks ago that it would be reconciled in 1-2 days but I believe I have given enough grace reliefs. Neither seen emails nor received calls with respect to this issue. I understand that Circuit atlantic has been having problems with some thieving staff but when deposited jejepay payments are no more safe or fraudulent double charges become the order of the day I believe you need to do a bigger house sweep.

Finally, do reconcile my account and do the needful. It is just the download link of my order I need. I can forgo the N127.07 if your message is to avoid doing business with you but the product even from the name is obviously for an elder citizen and not mine. I had to stop him making further purchases till the current order with you is resolved. So, what is your answer?

P.S Also try to fix the N10,200 showing up on my page as pending approval. Really distracting.

N.B Thanks for your order confirmation emails which gave me evidence to prove my order was made with an exchange rate of N193 on the 19th Dec. last year 2014 as against your current exchange rate of N212 of today. I really hope you won't pull that card though I am expecting it with multiple screenshots from my end.

Wishing you well - Teemy

Good morning. The claims you are making are unfounded. Your items arrived at Shippyme on March 10th last year and were packaged and prepared for shipping the same day. The bill was sent to you as usual via email and you did not make payment. It is clearly stated on the invoice that payment should be made within 7 days or demurrage would apply. The current bill you have is due to the demurrage incurred from that period until now as you have refused to make payment despite the effort of our staff to explain every element of the invoice to you. This issue has been answered previously and explained on this thread. We would be more than happy to ship them to you as soon as the balance is paid.

The shutdown and backlog at customs has been covered already. It is not a new story nor are we the only ones experiencing this. Please shut up and stop dodging your faults, your service is nonsense and you know it. . . Don't give me the 'understanding' crap.

I had to keep reminding your staff to update the content of my booking when they kept making mistakes. I had to argue over and over again for up to 2 weeks before it was done and when it was done, you guys billed me for consolidation. You guys have all the grammar in the world to snatch people's money but for you to deliver on time is a big problem.

Look at yourselves man, how come all of your customers are complaining? Instead of you to find a solution to the problem your company is having, you come here and start defending yourself. . . I just wanna collect my order and close the chapter with you guys for life.
Your service is the worst!

If I don't get my booking S1411137348 this year, I'm suing you guys to court. I've already sent an email to the EFCC to investigate your continual rip offs and bad service. Next thing you'll see from me is a letter from my lawyer.
I bought books to use as a teacher, one of my candidates had to fight me when she didn't get her learning materials on time and I'm not going to experience that nonsense without giving you guys a dosage of it.

You guys have been doing it to others for long, mine will be the last, I promise.
BusinessRe: Shippyme : Worst Shipment Company Ever! by Catlanta: 11:43am On Dec 15, 2014
If you are having issues understanding the updates on your booking you can call in to our customer care lines to get an explanation. Assigned to Batch, means it has been assigned to a batch (with other packages) scheduled to leave our US warehouse. Delivered to Carrier means the batch has been handed over to the Carrier who will bring it into the country via your chosen delivery method. The next update would be Departed/Clearing Customs. You can tell the exact location of your package at all points in time by following these updates. The recent shutdown at customs is the main reason you would have experienced delays this time around, an email alerting customers of this fact was sent out when the shutdown began. Finally, It always helps to provide a booking number so as to validate your claim and have someone assist you with whatever issues you may be having with your booking. As it is, with a booking number we can provide an ETA for delivery of the package.
nairalandist:
Dear Nigerians,

Please avoid using Shippyme (owned by Circuit Atlantic) as they will eventually frustrate you till you regret ever using their service.

My Story:
Prior to this time, I had always thought shippyme was a reliable shipping company, not knowing that their fancy website and all the information given there was just to attract people they have no real intention of serving well.

I made a booking with Shippyme for the shipment of the stuffs I bought on Amazon with a GTB Mastercard. For almost 2 months now, it's been one story or the other about why they've been making mistakes and how they can't ship. And when they do update, it's something that doesn't make sense, like telling me it has been assigned for shipment, delivering to shipper for assessment. . . I mean, they're just playing games. . .

I made a payment of N12,500 for an order of N12,479 just to avoid troubles, by the time I made the payment, their website refused to respond to the payment update in time. And when they updated my payment information, I was still being asked to make another payment of N600+. . . Although I will never make another payment, God forbid!

Turns out I'm not the only one dissatisfied with their service. There are bad reviews all over the internet about their irresponsible service, both here on Nairaland and other websites.

Imagine spending over a month waiting for an order that's supposed to take 5-7 working days.

I will contact the EFCC and OPC to have this jokers shut down for good. It's been hell using them and I know that no business can survive with such mediocre service!
Till now, I still don't know the whereabouts of my package.
