Moles = Mass/Molar mass of CoCl2.6H2O

Let MM = Molar Mass

MM of CoCl2.6H2O = MM of Co + (2*MM of Cl) + ( 6*2 MM of H) + (6*MM Of O)

From the periodic tables,

MM of Co = 58.93 g/mol

MM of Cl = 35.45 g/mol

MM of H = 1.00 g/mol

MM of O = 16.00g/mol

The cage door is held very firm/tightly to the cage by a rubber cut from a tyre tube attached to the top corner of the other end.

A thin thread is attached to the door at one end and a small nail at the other end us passed through the back of the cage. at the down below the entrance, a palm frond is lined and the nail punctured the palm frond to hold the opened door in place.

Any bird trying to enter will definitely step on the frond, the nail punctured on the frond becomes released and the door closes on the bird.
