irridemi: I am so grateful at the responses God bless you all. Like most people suggested, God factor is very key. I might not be able to quote all the comments but I sure appreciate all. Infact thanks to one of the advise on Memorial University NF,very affordable fees and with few knowledge abt d area, the cost of living is fair. For now I will stay back and keep learning, and when we reach wherever, I will always be grateful to this thread. Even the skilled programs too aren't cheap, so in every options available one will still part with money, if its giving birth dere (huge money too), studying (involves money), even wen one travels as an Auditor (Nig certified which I read isn't recognise), additional qualificatn(involves money too), reinvesting in business again(involves both money and risk),
maternal: Naija qualifications is not recognized in canada.
Hmm so all those rigorous years in the university is just wasted if I travel to Canada to work? I think it's just share wickedness I will rather stay back in my country then
bigfrancis21: First of all, you are doing very well already in Nigeria and you have no reason at all to leave Nigeria. You have a good job + investment properties (buildings) which you own. Investing in business is preferable in Nigeria than in US or Canada (about 90% of start-ups fail in the US), high taxation (at least 35% of your profits) and there are more profit returns on investment in Nigeria than in US/Canada. When you come here, life starts afresh for you. You will discover that your foreign (Nigerian) degrees and experience are totally nothing and they don't count here and you will have to go to school for about the next 2 years (during which you will have to make-do with meagre, low-paying jobs to survive). On average, it will take you about 5 years to stand on your feet in Canada.
After going to school and getting a job, you will live an average life here in Canada, nothing exceptional or more than that. A great part of your salary will go into heavy taxes (imagine earning $5000 a month and $1200 goes to taxes leaving you with $3,800), bills (mortgage, light, water, gas, phone bills e.t.c), leaving you with just enough to survive and nothing extra. You see jobs, you will find them aplenty here but you will not be left with much as most of your money will go into taxes and bills. The average US/Canadian works to pay bills and it is an endless cycle. Several Nigerians are returning home to invest.
To be honest, life in Nigeria is better financially if you have a good job and several investments.
I once used Epiderm cream to clear some small spots on my face so I wanted to apply it to that spot alone but my sister adviced me against it so she asked me to apply it all over my face. Within 3 days everything was gone and all back to normal but once I stopped for like 3days it came back again and to my surprise it's all over my face like pimples like rashes. This has been going on for like some months now. I know if I use the cream now it will go within three to four days but I don't want this to continue anymore. As am typing now my face is itching me. Please what can I do to Stop using this epiderm and the rashes not appear again
The lady, who gave her name simply as Adijatu towards the end of the video attached to this report, said she organised the 100 persons from Manchester in the United Kingdom for the purpose of the pro-Jonathan protest.
The lady who organised the rented crowd that protested at the Chatham House in London on Thursday on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan has been uncovered.
The lady, who gave her name simply as Adijatu towards the end of the video attached to this report, said she organised the 100 persons from Manchester in the United Kingdom for the purpose of the pro-Jonathan protest.
The rented crowd also protested against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Major General Muhammadu Buhari.
As earlier reported, a member of the President Jonathan campaign team and the Assistant Director of Civil Society and Support Groups in the Diaspora, Chief Peter Mozie, had requested for $20,000 to mobilise some Nigerians in the United Kingdom to protest at Chatham House where Buhari was to deliver a speech on Thursday.
A memo, addressed to the Director of Civil Society and Support Groups, Prof. Nick Eze, and copied to the Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Political Affairs, Prof. Rufai Alkali, said different persons at the venue of the anti-Buhari rally will have various talking points.
Adijatu confirmed on video that she mobilised the persons who came to the venue. She said they came in six buses. She said unlike Buhari with low spending power, Jonathan was a heavy spender.
She equally said she could organise such crowd for anyone in need of such. Asked if she was the one who pocketed the $20,000 budgeted for the rally, she simply laughed and moved on to other discussions.

Sunnybobo3: For Prof. Osinbajo not to be able to calculate how long Jonathan has been in power, he has to present his First School Leaving Certificate.
Jonathan has been in power for 4 years and 9 months as president and 3 months as acting president.
koonbey: That's a very stup1d thing to say: 1, Somebody said something you considered stupid, and suddenly, you're wondering if everyone on this section is a dolt.
2. "Hope you can pay" in the Nigerian context is usually not intended to be taken seriously, you ought to have known that he meant "Hope you can pay well".
E no concern me o; I don't even come to this section ordinarily, I just came across this and decided you need someone to tell you not to go about snapping at people, even online. It's very dolt-ic.
Have a lovely day.
And with all her shakara you will be surprised at the way she will bargain as if it's meat she wants to buy
chronique: It's good to support your candidate but please correct your write-up and don't address Him as vice-president. There are legal implications to that. Anyways, you haven't addressed him as VP of the federal republic of Nigeria. So,no qualms.
