Hello House, .. l . Thanks!.

Let ur mother go with malaria drugs from Nigeria. Some people have fever immediately after child birth or some weeks later.she should inform the pharma. That the malaria tablet is for someone that that just gave birth.

That if I do. they will quarantine us lol..... please I need advise on how I can pass this issue. Please doctors and gurus in the house .. I need advise on this issue...

@chanbaby..I think this question has been answered over and over again here . You will need to read back to better equip yourself.. since it's for medical purpose select B2 for yourself but if your hubby , mom or child is going with you then you fill b1/b2 for them but yours has to be B2 only ..

Chanbaby:
Good day nairaland gurus, pls I am a bit confused. When filing my form and scheduling appointment should I choose B1/B2 or B2 alone ? since I am going for birthing purpose (medical)

I paid for B1/B2 cos B2 alone wasn't on their system at Gtbank.

Thanks for ur anticipated responses.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by ccemordi(m): 3:08am On Sep 23, 2016
@ChanBaby I think you should go with both accounts ....it's makes more sense as long as the both accounts has your husband name has the business owner.. I went with my both accounts too ..

[uote author=Chanbaby post=49591723]

@ladyG the money there now is his payment( commission) for all his purchases. Just that the account has constant in flow of very large sum.

Pls, one other thing I was at Gtb to pay for B2 visa and it showed B1/B2. I asked the lady and she said there is no B2 in her system that I can use B1/B2 for medical. Since my purpose is for child birth I wanted to apply directly for medical visa. I need to b sure b4 I submit and book appointment.
Spot on ..Thank you @Feddy27

feddy27:
Baby formula for one year is not for us; it is for low income earners over there. Tell your wife to ditch dat idea to avoid issues in the future.

As for the hospital, yes they provide all dat baby needs from diaper to formula and that's her right. She can ask for more if she needs. Also, each time she visits the pediatrician, she can also ask them. They will give her. Besides for formula, don't stock on so much cos u neva know which one ur baby will accept.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by ccemordi(m): 3:20am On Sep 22, 2016
Hello House,

Someone confidently told DW that when baby arrives that baby qualifies for formular for one year . I argued and said no but she said her sisters and friends usually get it whenever they come to the US to have babies. I jokey asked Dr and he told DW to come to hospital very light with just tooth brush , toothpaste, one baby cloth and maybe makeup that all others would be provided by the hospital.

Abeg who has heard about this baby formula thing.. it's tempting but me no want issue in the future.. please anyone with experience can throw more light on this matter.

I have been on hibernation mode for a while .myself and DW flew Delta on the 1st of September.

I requested for wheelchair at the last minute at 9ja airport and glad I did because it helped a lot...when the attendant told me it's free ..I grab am sharply, In flight entertainment was OK but was disappointed when I asked for WiFi password & was told it's not free..that I have to PAY....Choi

Fast forward to Atlanta. DW was wheeled to the automated selfservice machine and we got the printout marked x.. then headed to the cbp.

POE Transcript below :

Cbp: good morning and can I have your passport please
ME: good.morning and gave her passports with the print out from the automated machine
Cbp: why are you here today
Me : my wife is here to have our baby
Cbp: oh nice.
Cbp to DW: finger print and took pictures
DW : tried to stand but cbp said its fine you can seat
Cbp: told me to do the finger print and took pictures.
Me : I did
Cbp: so where would you be staying
Me: told her the hotel name and address
Cbp: how much do you have with you
Me: about $12k cash and I have my cards here incase we need more .
Cbp: how long are you staying
Me: I responded 4 weeks for me and DW will stay longer ( BTW 8 to 11 weeks )
Cbp: so who will take care of her while you away
Me: I already made plans for that
Cbp: ok smIles..stamped our passport , place it inside green transparent bag and gave us back.
I checked the passports for stamp and notice there is no duration. It only says admitted to Atlanta and the date we got in.

No secondary inspection, no document was checked..off to agric and nothing was seized. Then we went straight to catch out connecting flight to Houston.

I thank God almighty for everything..the total time spent with the cbp was about 3mins . Also want to say a big thank you to NL family. You guys rock...

DW is using WHMC also but her doctor is Dr LA. You can research and check up his profile.

Back to your interview transcript. I think you should re-apply with your spouse. The chances are always higher .

Always be polite with your request and someone might decided to answer....I know how many days sleepless night i had because i was reading from part 1..Anyway i got the information i needed but i want to appreciate this ladies.. GOD BLESS YOU BIG FOR MAKING OUT TIME TO KEEP THIS FORUM AND TOPIC Alive. AMEN!

BeckyU:
My dear people,

I was seriously praying that I will be typing my testimony today, but it is not to be apparently. Please I need your candid advice as to why I was denied today. I have been preparing and reading every post you all and I gained a lot so I really thought I was prepared. My visa class is B2

My transcript:

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning
VO: Asks for my passport, I handed it over. He typed and typed and then, why are you going to US?
Me: To have my baby
VO: Where in US?
Me: Houston
VO: Why Houston?
Me: Because I have friends there and the Doctor I will be using is based in Houston
VO: How much did you budget for the cost of this trip?(Trying to use his exact words)
Me: $13,153.00
VO: What do you do for work?
ME: I work in a Bank, blablabla Bank precisely
VO: Opened my passport over and over and then typed and typed and then brought out the blue paper. ''Unfortunately you are not qualified for US visa, read the blue paper .........I just went blank sha. Dissapointed and sad.

Please I need your urgent help and advice. The paper says I cant appeal the decision so that means I have to pay again and schedule and interview. Please is there a way I can also expedite the interview because this one took me more than a month from the date of scheduling. I am almost 30weeks into my pregnancy. Appreciate all the help.
To Vo's decision might have been base on ........... and the Gurus already highlighted but let me chip in this

Your Budget ** (to birth in the U.S is not cheap and they expect you to have the financial strength to back it if you wish to birth abroad.. Our different research sometimes bring down the cost.. It should cost People living in the U.S between 6 to 10k to birth but for international patient please work with 15k to 20k since there are number of things that should factor in such as flight, hotel, transport, feeding, document etc) I am sure that what comes first to the VO's mind but this cost can be narrow down individually when we have relatives in the U.S that cut off accommodation , feeding and all. * that's my opinion and i stand to be corrected*

Reapply with your Hubby... Sounds better that your hubby would be supporting you during childbirth before and after in the US.. Remember you are traveling far away from home and you go need support.. The first person that comes to the mind na the Spouse . Yes na him do am so he should be there to support all through *in VO's voice*

I think your travel history CAP his decision to refuse you the VISA.

Try and read back at least on this Part 4 if you can from page 1.

Re-apply, Pray and Good Luck.
