Now we can all begin to understand the drama in Nigeria. PDP government led by GEJ remorselessly, shamelessly and obstinately drained the vaults of this country. Now, this tip of the iceberg that we are hearing about was just one of those feasts that GEJ organized and moderated. In this particular case, they made the federal government bear PDP campaign expenses and hid the cost under the almighty security votes. They took billions of dollars in the name of (Arms purchase) security votes and ensured boko haram was well fueled so that they would have justification for such huge amounts taken out of federation accounts. They ensured boko haram was killing, bombing and kidnapping, sent defenseless troops to combat the same militants they were funding. They wasted civilian lives and the lives of many of our innocent soldiers. It didn't end there. Now that they know their secrets are going to be let out, they are feigning sickness and wanting to travel out for medical treatment abroad. Some of them that already escaped abroad have gone to secure permanent spaces in the hospitals to delay or avert Justice. In order to divert government attention away from the resolve to reveal corrupt people in the past government, they have devised another security confusion again. Now they have gone to mobilize the vulnerable Ibos to start an agitation for Biafra. The game plan is to create security issue similar to the then NigerDelta agitation so that PMB will not have time to pursue corruption probes. We say investment has gone down in the economy recently, foreign investors are leaving, projects are abandoned. I want to reveal to Nigerians that most foreign investors that visit Nigeria with funds to invest are fronting for thieving politicians. Now that anti-corruption is heating up, their principals have told them to start offloading shares and go and stay in London, New York, Dubai and other places, keep the remnants they can cash from the various investments for them while they wait to face the music being played by this new government. They are all so pained by the foreign exchange policy of this government because they find it difficult to fly away our money at will. Is anybody still confused about the drama in Nigeria? Let's just wait and endure while PMB is giving them the music. |

http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/oliseh-replies-enyeama-stop-lying-against-me/ Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh granted an exclusive interview to the Nigeria Football Federation Youtube channel to put the record straight regarding his row with Vincent Enyeama, insisting that he did nothing wrong… Presented by Completesportsnigeria.com’s IZUCHUKWU OKOSI and ADEBOYE AMOSU: Let start with this tour of Belgium, how would you describe the result of the first game against DR Congo, from your own perspective, the positives and negatives? Well, this tour started on a difficult note for us. First we have a player who withdrew from the squad. I’m talking about Victor Moses who withdrew for precautionary reasons. Then we had to bring in a replacement for him. Then the worst part of the whole thing was the fact we couldn’t bring down the six home-based guys down here on time. These are players we are counting to make an impact in the team. So we had to bring in other players who don’t need visas to join us. We also had to bring in Ambrose Efe. We knew before the game that we were going to have difficulties in central defence due to the absence of Godfrey Oboabona and Keneth Omeruo. So we started the game with a right-back (Leon Balogun) in central defence. Unfortunately, the two goals we conceded came from this side. But if you look at the game, we did well. If you look at the fact Shehu (Abdullahi) was playing in his first game and as a right-back, I think it was something good. If you look at the way we played, then you will give kudos to the players. As a matter of fact I was impressed with John Obi Mikel. He carried the team, he was mobile. He did everything I asked him to do and I like that very much. Mikel took charge of the game and was telling people what to do. I pray he continues like this. I’m also happy with Elderson Echiejile. His positioning was fantastic. He was very good on the ball. We had more possession but unfortunately we couldn’t score on the night. Definitely we have lots of positives to take from the game. On a negative part, defensively we were not so solid. Like I already told you, the cohesion in defence was not there because of the changes. I’m just hoping that Oboabona will get a visa tomorrow (Friday) so that he can join us for the Cameroon game. Okay, let’s talk about your goalkeeper, the former first choice goalie, Vincent Enyeama, called it quits from international football few hours before the game, a lot of people are saying it was as a result of the fall-out with you in camp, what happened between you and Vincent? It’s puzzling, to say the least and I’m very disappointed about the character assassination Vincent has portrayed against my personality. If you want to retire, retire. You don’t have to drag someone else into it. I would like to explain the whole thing in detail. We invited 24 players for the two games. Mikel came in on Sunday and the majority of the players arrived in camp on Monday. I knew because of his mother’s burial that Vincent wouldn’t be able to come around the same day. He came to camp on Tuesday afternoon, around 5.20 or 5.30 pm. We were training when he drove in from Lille. We even took some pictures together as I was happy to see him in camp. But I was not happy with the physical involvements of the players. During the dinner, I spoke about this and I told the players I was not happy with this. At the end of my speech, as I was about to sit down, Vincent stood up and said he wanted to speak and I told him it was not the right time to say anything because we just had a discussion on how to improve and it wasn’t the right time to discuss personal issues. He said no and I refused. I told him ‘I don’t want you to say anything for now. If you want to discuss any personal issue, you can come to me and we thrash it out’. He was adamant and wanted to say something. I told him ‘with all due respect, I’m the coach of this team and we don’t have two coaches. I decide who talks or not. If you refuse to abide by what I say it’s better you go out.’ He was still adamant and I told him ‘it is either you go out or we leave the room for you.’ I later said it is either you go out or they take you out because the situation was stopping the team from having their dinner. Eventually his teammates got up and took him out. I told him it is either you stop this or you go home. You can go home, I have released you. You just came and you’re arguing in camp. He just came in and had not had a training with the team. So, I went to my room and five of his collegues: Mikel, Emmanuel Emenike, Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi and Elderson Echiejile said coach we have spoken to him. They said they know him, that sometimes he talks before he thinks. I said okay he can stay. We are trying to build a new team, he can stay around. Then, the next morning, he came, everthing was settled. He ate breakfast and as we were about to leave for training, I received a message from Nigeria that Vincent said I insulted his late mother. Vincent insinuated and has already made it public that I insulted his mother. I went ahead and addressed the team. This was really bad. It was a blatant lie. I find it difficult to take because you can’t make false accusations where there are a lot of witnesses around. There were 19 players there and four officials. There was no reason to talk about his mother because he just came in to camp. There was nothing to talk about him. He was just trying to make people sympathize with him that he was badly treated. He was the captain of the team. When we played in Tanzania, I called the team administrator, Dayo Enebi, and we arranged for the team to wear black armbands and have a minute silence in honour of Vincent’s late mum. The only reason that was not done was because as Dayo said, the Tanzanians said we should direct our request to CAF and time was too short for us to do that. Dayo is my witness. How would a man that is sensitive enough to decide to honour Vincent Enyeama’s late mother then turn around and insult the same woman? Let me take take you off that track a little bit before we come back to it, many people have said Vincent did not actually react to the fact you dropped for Ahmed Musa as captain of the side. When you were appointed the coach of the side, did you at any time reach out to him on your plans, because some people are saying you never wanted him in the team. That you have already made up your mind you don’t want him as your captain… Before I was appointed head coach of the Super Eagles, Vincent Enyeama had a big rift with the Nigeria Football Federation over a statement he made about Kaduna as venue for the game against Chad. I was not the coach then, but I stood for him because I felt he should not be castigated for representing his teammates. When I was appointed as head coach of the Super Eagles, the first thing I did was to drive down to Lille to watch Vincent train. I spent a whole day watching Vincent train. I took him out for lunch which I paid for. I had a talk with him to intimate him about my plans for the team with him as the captain. I told him about the tactical things we wanted to change, the changes we wanted to make in the team like you do with your captain. When I spoke to him there, he made one statement, he was talking about retiring in a year or two after the Nations Cup. I told him, Vincent, I’m trying to build a team at least for 2018.I don’t need a captain who is thinking of retiring from football or quitting football, while we are building a new team. Nobody does that in football. You wait till your last game and then announce your retirement. I didn’t argue with him over that. Then two weeks ago, Vincent called me to discuss the funeral arrangements for his mother and I told it’s sad what has happened to you, but I wouldn’t be available for the burial but I spoke with the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, and I told Vincent he would be there. While we were talking again, he mentioned the issue of retirement again. That was when I decided to pick Ahmed Musa as captain because I felt there is need to have a new captain who is not going to retire soon. To now take that as something personal is funny. I don’t know Vincent personally and it’s difficult to have grudges with him. But he has been in Super Eagles for a long time… I had already retired from the team before he joined the team. So, it’s not as if I have something against him. We cannot continue like this. If we want to retire, retire and don’t drag others into it and make trouble Let’s come to the Belgium tour, DR Congo is done and dusted, Cameroon is next… First, we allow the boys to have a rest and freshen up. We take the positives from the game against DR Congo. We are just hopeful that Godfrey will get his visa to come around. We need a central defender for the game against Cameroon on Sunday. We are building, we are getting more players and the cohesion is going on well. |
Revealed! Real Story Behind Oliseh, Enyeama Clash In Belgium EXCLUSIVE By Johnny Edward: Completesportsnigeria.com can exclusively report today the real story behind the clash between Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh and (former) captain Vincent Enyeama on Tuesday night. A source within the team's camp in Belgium, who witnessed the incident, narrated the dramatic confrontation that led to the initial expulsion and recall of Enyeama. While the story doing the rounds is that the battle started because Oliseh shouted down Enyeama while the Lille keeper was trying to explain his late arrival in camp, Completesportsnigeria.com learnt that was not exactly how it went down. Oliseh, according to our source, had no issue with Enyeama arriving in camp on Tuesday instead of Monday, since the coach was aware that the keeper was recently bereaved and buried his late mum over the weekend. But the clash started when, while holding a meeting with the players after their evening training session which Enyeama attended but did not participate in, Oliseh mentioned Ahmed Musa as the team captain. Enyeama was said to have rudely interrupted the coach's speech at this point, the Lille keeper insisting that he was the captain, not Musa. This interruption apparently riled Oliseh, who ordered Enyeama to let him (Oliseh) address his players in peace. But Enyeama continued talking, raising his voice at the coach. When Oliseh could not take it anymore, he ordered that Enyeama leave the venue of the meeting as he felt the keeper was undermining his (Oliseh's) authority. When Enyeama refused to leave, Oliseh asked for the goalkeeper to be forcibly removed from the Verviers Hotel camp by security men. But five senior players in the squad: Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Ahmed Musa, Elderson Echiejile and Emmanuel Emenike, waded in and all went to Oliseh's room to plead on behalf of Enyeama. Also there were telephone calls from the Nigerian Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick and even some big Nigerian politicians to have the matter resolved. "Enyeama was rude to Oliseh, no doubt. Oliseh has so many issues to deal with, especially the inability of six home-based players to get visas to join the squad, and the possibility of Godfrey Oboabona missing the match, and he doesn't need this additional distraction " a top official told Completesportsnigeria.com, before corroborating the first source's narration of events.. "The embarrassment he got from Enyeama in the presence of the other players was uncalled for and disappointing. "Oliseh just announced that Ahmed Musa remains his captain and Enyeama flared up. He was told his response wasn't needed by the coach but Enyeama was angered and would not back down. "He was asked to excuse the meeting and when he didn't, Oliseh asked for him to be bundled out of the team's camp, contrary to reports in the media that Enyeama was asked to shut up while trying to explain his late arrival, which wasn't even an issue. "For goodness sake, a coach has the right to pick his captain for the team. New coaches do it all the time." The source went further to explain that for Oliseh to drive down to Lille at the start of the Ligue 1 season to discuss the rebuilding process of the Super Eagles with Enyeama shows how much he respects the former Enyimba star. "Oliseh wasn't given the respect he deserved. He (Oliseh) is not a saint and might not be completely blameless, but Enyeama should respect the coach; he is the boss," the source added. There were also hints from the team's camp that Oliseh was not happy that Enyeama arrived early enough to train with the team on Tuesday, only to spend the entire time chatting with team secretary Dayo Enebi, asking questions about the new players in the squad, while Carl Ikeme was the only other goalkeeper in camp and the team would need two for a full session. http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/revealed-real-story-behind-oliseh-enyeama-clash-in-belgium/ |

With the level of "hate-journalism" (my phrase) practiced by AIT before, during and even after the campaigns, it is right and justifiable if the security detail attached to Buhari temporarily bans them until after the swearing-in at least. My reasoning is informed by events that led to the Afghan war where a suicide bomber dressed as a journalist blew himself up killing Abu Maqhood who was opposed to the Taliban Govt. while pointing a microphone at him at a press conference. Remember George Bush jr. dodging shoes also at a packed press conference in Iraq? More importantly, it is not distant memory that Gen. Buhari escaped a suicide attack in Kaduna thus, taking precautionary measures against a hostile TV station is pre-emptive thinking and perfectly reasonable. |
Courtesy: EUROBOMBER The recent happenings in Lagos have created so much tension between the Igbo and the Yoruba. There is so much bitterness and hate talk flying around and this will not do us any good. When you try to break a wall using a sledge hammer, you need to apply several blows before it gives in. You might need to apply a 100 blows but one thing to note is that it is not the 100th blow that breaks the wall, it is a combination of effects from the very first blow. This brings me to the recent statement credited to the Oba of Lagos to the Igbos. I condemn the statement and I believe every right-thinking person should do the same in the interest of peace and civility. What I want to tell my Igbo people is that the Oba's outburst is not just as a result of the forth-coming gubernatorial election in Lagos but a combination of factors. I hear some of our people calling Lagos a no-man's-land and this is just too bad; this is the height of arrogance and disrespect. How can we move into a Yoruba land, enjoying God's blessings and prosperity only to turn round and tell the people that their land belongs to nobody, that we feed them, and that they cannot survive without us and all the other rubbish and provocative stuff?? Clearly the Oba has been harbouring this anger as a result of the arrogance and provocation of our Igbo people and just could not contain it this time and lashed out. My Igbo brothers, can we sit down and ask ourselves why we have been so aggressive towards the Yorubas? What have they done wrong to us to deserve this provocation and arrogance? The Yorubas are a very peaceful people and we turn round to call them cowards and all sorts of names. What do we want the Yorubas to do to prove to us that they are not cowards, rise up and go on a killing spree? These Yorubas even returned all our properties to us after the civil war something even our close neighbours in the SS didn’t do! What does it take to respect your host and do as they wish my people for Christ’s sake? We are prosperous in Yoruba land and are enjoying the land and have no problem with the people, all they are for is for us to know our limits and give them their respect is this too much to ask from us? Let me ask my people one honest question, why are we not shouting that Kano is a no-man’s land The Yorubas have been very nice and taking all these insults from us and we turn around to point our fingers in their noses and call them cowards! Jesus! We claim to be Christians and worship God, is it not written in the bible that blessed are the peace makes for they shall be called the children of God? My Igbo people please see a sample of what is making the Yorubas very angry with us: 1. I WILL ELEVATE EZE NDIGBO TO THE STATUS OF OBA OF LAGOS - JIMI AGBAJE. 2. IGBO WILL DETERMINE WHO RULES LAGOS- IFEANYI UBAH 3. LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.- IFEANYI UBAH DURING TAN CAMPAIGN. 4. IGBO DEVELOPED AND CONTROL LAGOS- JIMI AGBAJE DURING GEJ CAMPAIGN IN AKWA IBOM 5. WE MUST PRODUCE THE NEXT DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF LAGOS- EZE NDIGBO MY QUESTIONS TO IGBOS, 1. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED? 2. CAN EMIR OF KANO ACCEPT ....? 3. DO YOU HAVE ANY SINGLE TRIBE IN YOUR CABINET IN THE EAST? 4. CAN ANY TRIBE CLAIM ONITHSA OR ABA TO BE NO MAN,S LAND? 5. CAN OBI OF ONITHSA ACCEPT THE ELEVATION OF SARKIN HAUSA IN ONITHSA TO OBI STATUS? I want to use this medium to appeal to well-meaning Yorubas to forgive the childishness and foolishness of our people. Please drop any plans of violence being planned against our people and all other diplomatic ways of punishing our people in your land including Lagos. We recognise that LAGOS IS A YORUBA LAND and will respect that. Please I appeal for calm and understanding. I am inviting some Yorubas I respect on this forum to help reach out to your people to be calm, I have personally decided to start a campaign to reorientate our people as God helps me in my own way to change the way we think. Even God told Moses that if he could find just 10 righteous people he will not destroy Sodom & Gomorrah. Igbos like me are far more than 10 in Lagos and other areas of SW. Please do not bring out the beast in you and and please allow better judgement prevail over emotions |
Can someone clarify what exactly is the function of State 2 foreign affairs and the comment below by a fellow nairalander "People have not really seen the smart move in this particular appointment. I have always said it that GEJ will continue to surprise them with master strokes whilst they continue calling him clueless. Min. For State 1 Foreign Affairs will handle Nigerian Ambassadors outside Nigeria. While Min. For State 2 Foreign Affairs will handle all foreign Ambassadors and Councillors here in Nigeria. We can only imagine what will happen when some portfolio and documents are revealed to Koro... invoking the FOI Law of our Land" IS THIS TRUE I HOPE NOT! SAI BUHARI |
