Family / Re: Which Is Better: Boy Or Girl As First-born? by Celyt(f): 7:21pm On Jan 06, 2014
@Troy20; E be like say you are Op's MIL, lol...
Please go back and re-read your post. You sounded as if a female child can't do all that you stated there. I should be asking you that question; do you have issues with the female gender?

for your information; i have them(three healthy boys) but doesn't make me a better woman than others, kini big deal?
Family / Re: Which Is Better: Boy Or Girl As First-born? by Celyt(f): 2:03pm On Jan 06, 2014
^^ my dear tell them o

@Troy20; nawa for this your reasoning! does it mean that a well-trained daughter can't be a role model as well as take care of her younger siblings? Anyway, na you get your mouth.

@bellong Lol.. @Olalan, you guys are so on point!

@Op, our prayer as parents should be that the Almighty gives us children(irrespectve of their genders) that will be far ahead of us intellectually, morally, financially and any other positive attribute.

And that He grant both male and female children in every home especially in tribes where the quest for a particular sex if not granted always bring strain in marriages FOR THE SAKE OF PEACE, Amen!

Kanwulia! Hei! Odikwa KPOKPONKIOS! See as you come spice up this OP story and you nearrrrrrrrrly succeeded in making me agree with you 100%!

@OP; i dont agree with you, think about your self-dignity, think about your children, think about your salvation.
Family / Re: Operation No To Househelps 2014 by Celyt(f): 12:51pm On Dec 22, 2013
@LaRoyal Highness; there is nothing to wait for!
CHANGE is CONSTANT and i am not afraid to face life's mood swings; HIS grace is SUFFICIENT for me. since God has given me the opportunity of having this relationship with my help, i am determined to make her a success(morally, academically..) the same way i would do for my biological children.
I can afford to pay a nanny or adult help but i dont think i need such; i have a job that lets me run my home the way i want it (but with little help) and that's the reason why i went for a child-help that will grow along with my biological children as i dont intend bringing up lazy kids.
I wouldn't have bothered getting a help if i had an assisting hubby ( i just had to do the needful).
Family / Re: Operation No To Househelps 2014 by Celyt(f): 6:24pm On Dec 20, 2013
Afters: For those that have child-househelp like me(mine is about 13 years old). Treat her the way you treat your loved one, tolerate her while correcting her lovingly(afterall she has had a different training prior to coming into your home, and would need your patience for her to be able to fit into a new environment).
Give her a good education(academically and others), bring her very close to God and always live by example(you can't give what you don't have).
Family / Re: Operation No To Househelps 2014 by Celyt(f): 6:21pm On Dec 20, 2013
Though i have a help living with me for the past three months, i can only say that these tips are sure going to help reduce workload for my daughter(cos thats how i see her) and i.
Initially i didn't want a househelp because i did see myself as a neat-freak who could not stand anyone that couldn't housekeep like i do. But when i had my second baby and then fast-forward to six months; mehnn! my life became a living hell coupled with the fact that my hubby wouldn't assist me in house chores except in bathing our older baby. Running my Masters' programme, working and taking care of three boys including housekeeping made me lose my cool... i just had to get a help.
To cut the long story short; i am happy getting a help,we run a kind of team work(my househelp and i), i only assign housechores deem for her age like doing the dishes, sweeping and scrubbing some parts of the house
and washing her own clothes; i do the rest of the work.
But i still get tired doing these; thanx Op and other posters for the tips.

Uju; thanx for that observation.
An adult should always take responsibilty for his/her action. I just hate it when some people keep going on and on, about their friends or whoever, influencing them negatively, in justifying their reasons for doing wrong.
@ op; you really need to heed to (GreatGod, Nashville and Chillisauce)s' advice.
Just love yourself first!

@ macjive; all the posters above have given you reasonable advice; Also, if you have the means(in form of private detective) to trail the movement of this evil woman, pls do not hesitate to do so cos she had already made up her mind to carry out her evil act; the feedback from the detective should be able to alert the authority(NAPTIP; etc.) depending on how far she has gone with her evil plans. Maybe you are that her house-girl's messaiah in disguise. Pls update us
PLS SAVE THAT POOR SOUL!
Politics / Re: Presidency To Amaechi, Join APC, Dont Consult Jonathan by Celyt(f): 9:15am On Nov 07, 2013
I feel only pity for Amaechi(being an ardent Amaechi supporter in terms of his good governance in Rivers state). I keep wondering what will become of him politically after his tenure as the governor. This statement of his shows that he is quite at loss; he is simply looking for a way to chicken out of his present misery; or could it be that he was taunting PDP?
Whichever way, He better stops romancing with APC as i forsee them dropping him like he's hot after using him, as he continues to prove that loyalty is not in his character; he has simply marred his further political ambitions by his own hand.
Amaechi should quietly spend the rest of his tenure developing Rivers state as he was doing before this power tussle with the presidency. my 50 cents!

Family / Re: Persistence Rash On ♍Ɣ Kids Skin by Celyt(f): 11:17am On Oct 12, 2013
op; it seems we re experiencing the same problem(its happening to both my kids of your kids' age).

I also took them to the hospital and their doctor prescribed Digicloge. The rashes disappeared but sadly appeared again when i discontinued using it for them.
Someone suggested Skineal and Funbact-A but i felt they are too strong for babies tender skin.

Just like Madam CC suggested; watch them closely cos it might seem the rashes are signs of allergy to something. That is what am doing right now and gradually am seeing the result.
Am also using shea butter, would update you. cheers!
