Actor Ernest Asuzu, has opened up about the year he was battling with his health as he was down with stroke.

According to the actor who was known for his bad boy roles back then, even while he was down with stroke, he still ensured he had lots of sex.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Asuzu said although he could neither walk nor talk while he was down with a stroke, it didn’t affect his sex life. He said, “When I was down with a stroke, my wife was the only one who didn’t forsake me. It was a terrible situation because I did not work for three years, yet I was spending money. I must confess that I was afraid that my wife would leave me at that time because of my situation. Though the illness was serious, it didn’t affect my sex life. Naturally, I am hyperactive in bed and I don’t joke with sex. I have been married officially for five years.”

Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi on Friday presented documents of 15, 000 hectares of land for cattle colony to the Federal Government.

Presenting the acceptance document to Chief Audu Ogbeh, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in Abuja, Bello said the state would pilot the cattle colony programme.

The governor said that 15,000 hectares of land have been mapped out in two local government areas of the state for cattle colony.

Bello said 10,000 hectares of land had been earmarked for cattle colony in Ajaokuta Local Government Area and 5,000 hectares in Adavi Local Government Area of the state.

According to him, the quest to key into the programme was to accommodate the youth, herdsmen and farmers without conflicts and add value to the economic wellbeing of the people.

The governor said the state and its people were ready to ensure the success of the initiative.

“Our visit is in continuation of our efforts as a state to key into the programme of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in terms of cattle colony.

“This is otherwise known as the conglomeration of cattle ranches programme of the Federal Government.

“We are here to state our interest and readiness to participate in this programme.

“I am here to inform the minister that the people of Kogi state have keyed into this programme 100 per cent.

“We are ready to pilot the programme, our people have been sensitised about what the programme is all about.

“I am here to convey this message in a written letter to the ministry and we will be waiting for your actions.”

The governor explained that the state government would gradually pay compensation to citizens that donated their land for the programme.

Bello said the state had budgeted sufficient fund to ensure the smooth take-off of the programme in the areas of security and equipment.

Responding, Ogbeh commended the state government for keying into the cattle colony initiative of the Federal Government.

Ogbeh said that the country currently had an estimated 19.5 million cows.

“This is about courage. We have an estimated population of 19.5 million cattle now. If we have every individual keeping a ranch, it is an average population of 300 cows per herd.

“We need 1,711 ranches in every state, and 633,333 ranches in the country.

“That is when the conflicts will come because we cannot manage it but if they are closer together, management becomes easier.

“The land belongs to states under the Land Use Act and we don’t have any intention to colonise them.

“I do hope that when the programme works, other states will key in,” the minister said.

On debates that cattle business is private and should not gain government’s support, Ogbeh said the government had also supported crops production in the country.

According to him, cattle contribute six per cent to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 16 states have indicated interest to key into the Federal Government’s cattle colony initiative.

A 12 year old sexually abused girl, fleeing home with his uncle’s two sons and intercepted by RRS officers of the Lagos State Police Command, has disclosed that her uncle, 36, raped her five times in less than 7 months she stayed in his house.

The girl, Benita, a primary school leaver from Imo State, was intercepted at about 10:00 p.m. on Thursday at Mile 2, while trying to board a bus to Maza Maza. She disclosed to the officers that she was heading to board a night bus to Imo State. .

Puzzled, the officers dug deeper. It was at this point she disclosed to the officers that her Uncle who brought her to Lagos to continue her education, while she assists his wife domestically, had carnal knowledge of her five times.

The suspect, Chigozie Osuocha, was later arrested. Benita stated that any time Chidozie, wanted to lay with her, he would come home early, lock his three children out of his one room self-contained apartment and sleep with her.

She added that all the things his uncle promised before bringing to Lagos, are yet to be fulfilled. She further revealed that she had to tell his Chidozie’s 6 year old son who asked her what his father did to her each time he locked his three children out of the apartment.

"I confessed to the boy what was happening. The boy told his mother. His wife confronted me and I confirmed all that her husband had done to me. She threatened to pack out. But they resolved it after he promised it wont happened again.

I equally reported all that he did to me to his brother in Lagos. His brother had informed their father in the village about it. I took his two sons with me when they started crying they were going to follow me. I took them along with me after stealing the N60,000 he said I should give his wife’, she said.

When confronted with the allegation, the suspect confessed that he was lured by the devil adding that he had slept with her only five times between July to December, 2017.

Lagos Police P.R.O, SP Chike Oti, confirmed the incident, stressing that the girl had been transferred immediately to the Family Support Unit of the Command.

As Rivers people celebrate the second anniversary of the Supreme Court Judgment validating the election of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Governor Wike has re-dedicated himself to the service of the people, assuring that he will never disappoint them.

Governor Wike said that the average reasonable Rivers man or woman knows that he has performed creditably since winning the governorship election.

In an interview with journalists after projects inspection on Saturday, Governor Wike thanked God that the mandate freely given to him by the people was validated by the Supreme Court.

He said: “We give God the glory, we give God all the honour because the 27th January, 2016 was when the Supreme Court gave us the nod as people who were duly elected with the people’s mandate.

“We also commend the Supreme Court who have shown commitment to being the last hope of not only the common man, but everybody”.

The governor thanked Rivers people for their continuous support for his administration, saying that he will continue to use their mandate to develop the state.

He said: “I am quite impressed by the kind of support we are getting from everywhere. We will not renege on our promises, we will not disappoint them. All we need is their prayer.”

The governor directed contractors handling rehabilitation of the Court of Appeal Complex, the National Industrial Court, the Produce House, the Mother and Child Hospital and the Cinemas/Restaurants at the Pleasure Park, May 2018 to complete the projects.

He expressed satisfaction with the pace of work at the different project sites, stressing that the administration will sustain the funding of all the projects.

Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Emmanuel Aguma (SAN) assured that all the justice sector projects will be delivered on schedule.

Ahead of tomorrow’s opening of the 30th African Union Summit, President Muhammadu Buhari starts his four-day engagement in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Saturday by joining 14 other members of the Peace and Security Council (PSC), a standing organ of the AU for the prevention, management and resolution of conflicts.

The meeting is discussing the persistence of violent conflicts and crisis situations in some parts of the continent, upsurge of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and refugees, climate change and its consequences as well as the issue of the derailment of national development programmes.
The meeting is essentially reviewing the situations in Somalia, South Sudan, Libya, Guinea Bissau, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

It is also discussing the situation in Lake Chad Basin, the regional efforts to combat Boko Haram as well as the situation in Mali and the Sahel region which continues to be a source of deep concern despite efforts by the countries of the region and the United Nations.
The PSC’s major duty is to “conduct early warning and preventive diplomacy, facilitate peace-making, establish peace-support operations and, in certain circumstances, recommend intervention in Member States to promote peace, security and stability.”
