Christianity Etc › Re: What Qualifies A Prayer To Be Fervent? by cescky(m): 4:31pm On Jul 11, 2011
@poster

faith(which is different in meaning to believing)

heart felt desire for your prayer request to be answerd(ur desire for an answer from God must be very strong not week willed, am sure uve seen people praying and sweating earnestly)

pray the right words not repetition of vain words( a careful look at prayers from Jesus Christ and prophets in the bible dipict, the right mixture of wrd which in my own words , is a mixture of thanks giving and gratitutude to GOD first, irrespective of the situation, ur request, and joy+ faith =(which is believing that your request has been answered.(if u read some of the psalms by david even the very painful ones, after each prayer, he starts rejoicing!!!)

i doubt if time is a factor! i stand to be correct ted though.

what makes a prayer effective? the power made available when u pray,

when u prayer , God answers (the bible says wisdom is the principle thing) it takes the spirit of wisdom, knowledge + FAITH, for a prayer to be effective,

take the case of the woman with the issue of blood, she knew something no one else in her community knew, which of course is divine knowledge or wisdom or revelation from God,so she decided in her mind and settled it that if only she can touch His garment(faith), so she hussled her self and touched Jesus WITH A PURPOSE, (remember that various people were touching Jesus, but had nothing in mind, but she had power of faith within her self) thats why a pastor will pray for some people , some will receive miracles and some dont,(power is made available for all when they pray, but your faith is need to contact the power)
God alwyas answers but humans are confused as to how to receive!

Why won't they grow when they are so tiny? smiley
oga that's a poor analysis coming from you!

the size and population of Nigeria is very instrumental to it being termed the giant of Africa etc,

also the size and population of  nations like china, India etc were very instrumental to their being world powers,

in other words , in terms of size as it relates to economic growth etc , we may say Ghana is a bit "handicapped"

Nigeria has it all but shes in a state of confusion

docjuli:
Mallam Adamu (one of the suspect) bought a new bullet proof jeep for N75M after the Abuja bombing. While visiting Maiduguri to help track down the leader, he was attacked by Boko Haram who rained bullets on his jeep, to no effect! So he started abusing them from inside the glass, as the detective was about zooming off, one of them gestured that he could not hear Adamu, he then wound down his window and shouted: "shege danbura'uba, barawo banza, dan iska ne Kowei, waka,"

He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Pastor Chris An Entertainer? by cescky(m): 3:42pm On Jun 13, 2011
during the time of Jesus : some people claimed he didn't look, like a a prophet(after all we know u and ur a carpenter they thot), he didn't sound like one too,(they said he blasphemed for calling himself Son of God), which he was, they claimed he didnt dress like a Pharisees and a Sadducee(obviously he didn't go around flaunting his prestigious office etc)

i cant remember the verse and chapter but He said and i quote," to what shall i like this generation, they sang for you u didnt dance they mourned for you but u didnt cry" , that's what i will liken this our present generation and i warn u people , to beware what u say or write, the unfortunate rulers of the time of Jesus thot they were doing God a favor by judging and killing him, not knowing they were walking with satan.even Jesus refrained form judging when ever He was asked to judge , he will refrain, some parts he wold ask, who made him a judge? some he will say i didn't come to judge, some he will say your words judge you!!!

then we have some hypocrites here trying to help God!!, helloo, Deeper life dress very soberly they are criticized as old fashioned etc, Christ embassy dress liberally , they are demonized, what do u children of this world want??,
i don't go to Christ embassy, but certain things i have heard in my personal place of prayers(in my closet) i have heard also from pastor Chris( while watching him on tv).

stop trying to judge on Gods behalf and clean up ur own personal acts, judge not and thou shall not be judged, tell me why He is called a mysterious God? and u know everything about him abi?

Travel › Re: Your Worst Flying Experience! by cescky(m): 7:43pm On Jun 03, 2011
mine was from ph to lagos air nigeria, 4pm flight but was delayed till 6pm, we took off just before it started raining cats and dogs,as we were taking off the run way forces of nature (wind and rain were seriously resisting us) angry , we managed to take off and enterd the storm proper, kai see turbulance, the plane started shaking like ur driving on an untarred and rugged road,(i thot to myself if i were on the road i wld have jumped outside the car, but here i was 30 000 feet in the air) sad it was dark outside too shocked, when i looked outside the windows all i saw was thick blackness , some places thick redness, i said God , na like this i go go ? grin, was praying in my mind sha. before we even landed we had to parambulate the skies of lagos for a while for the pilot to see road,
i looked around the flight every one was forming "no fear" and not betraying any emotions. (naija can form)it was when we got down that i heard people confessing that that was a really terrible flight.
the expreience was not at all funny

First, ANYTHING is worth a commendation, on that, l commend them.

Having said that, the question l am struggling with is: WHY A "NIGERIAN ADAPTATION" OF SOMETHING FOREIGN?
Why not have our own ORIGINAL that others can copy?

I remember some decades ago, there used to be this "NIGERIAN TV Programme on NTA where one notable Nigerian musician (cant remember his name now), gathered children and they do this "story-line programme", used to be very interesting and even as an adult, l still sat glued to it, the way l watched Sesame street as a kid!

Lets try a much as possible, to be original, 50yrs after independence is enough time to do "copy-copy" and move-on!

How would you feel if a 50yr old man does nothing but copy what other peeps youngsters did? Are you going to be proud of such father?

BTW: I hope they copy the SNOW that falls during the programme! grin

@

ur really favoured, am sure ur a christian? abi? ive worn shoes similar to urs and i knw how it may pinch, but u need to know that the God u serve has a reason for everything,

the world we live in is filled with millionaires, whom started out just like u, roman ibrahamovic(owner of chelsea) is an orphan and had no formal education(and so do most notable past and present world renowed millionaires),these men are like u and me, what is the similarity u ask, they used the pain they passed thru as burning light never to return to poverty again.(ever heard of the saying no pain no gain)trust me a lot of ideas u can come up with an average man or a silver sponner can conceive.dont let situation run u, take hold of the situation and say and belive that u can make it(its called faith and it works)(faith is not just praying and crying to God , it includes bold steps too, u move God that way)
my point is God has put a champion in u, that u need to unleash and expects u to unleash or let come out in these ur trying times, trust me u have it in u.

God bless all that have helped u , but use this ur pain as an oppurtunity to draw closer to God, and ull see that soon u'll be the one sending out money to others.

life is filled with ups and downs, the best help we can get is thru God,whom dwells in us.(cos vain is the help of man) its defintly the spirit of God in the person whom helped u thats wrking for u
all the best, just knw that the ernerst expectaion of us all awiats the Godgiven champion and spirit in u to be unleased in the world)

thats whys its a contract job , ie they are all on contract, those fat checks come for maximum 3 yrs and they start declining, after reaching their peak of collecting millions the pay check starts dwindling immedialtly, though when the check dwindles it still runs into millions.

most never use their money wisely becos, most are young and inexposed and majorly from poor homes , so their shocked to find them selves in such financial stupor(african players especillay).

however i think their overpaid

Blazay:
If I don't say so, how do you know that I want to make love?

If you are female. . . you get 'hot' and 'twitchy' down there. . . with a lot of slimy juices flowing EVERY WHERE. cool
You can't even keep your underwear on. . .your nipp-les get real harrrrrrrrrrrrrd too.
You also start 'stretching' like you are just waking up from sleep or 'winding' your waist like a snake. wink
You usually find your fingers inside your underwear at this time to 'quench' the 'faya'. kiss
Then you will be making sounds like. . .isssssssssssh. . . .usssssssssssh. . . .asssssssssssssh(exciting, anticipatory moaning and groaning). kiss

If you are male. . . .your 'browser' or 'mouse' will start pointing North, South, East or West in your pants.
The 'browser' also starts 'spitting' something uncontrollably. . .something that looks like the "clear", sweeeeeeeeet and salty part of okro soup(without the seeds of course).
The 'browser' will also start having a 'jerking' reflex that is rhythmic and timed. . . "shooking" the 'male' or 'female' depending on which 'hole' is the target or in the arzzzze every few seconds till the point of sweeeeeeet 'release'.
The tin go strooooooooooong well well.

Any further questions? kiss
grin kolo
