Christianity Etc › Multiple Bomb Blasts In Damaturu (christmas Day) by cgem(op): 12:57pm On Dec 25, 2011
Hello all,

My people in Damaturu just called me to let me know that there have been multiple bomb blasts in Damaturu. Damaturu is now a ghost town on Christmas day. More info will come as we receive updates!

The budget of my university is bigger than education and health combined for a nation! My university's budget this year was $3.5billion (univeristy of washington) which is approximately N500billion. Just for a university!
Politics › Re: US Bomb Warning Is No Big Deal – FG by cgem: 2:16am On Nov 09, 2011
The statement says, "The FG wants to advise members of the public that it would continue to ensure the security of lives and property under its jurisdiction despite the unfortunate events in Maiduguri and Damaturu over the weekend.

My Question is this: Has the FG ever ensured safety of lives and property? How will it continue when it has not even done so in the past. I can swear that their would be another bomb blast and this same statement will be made!
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Lets Solve This Unemployment Problem: There Are Jobs Everyhere In Nigeria by cgem: 6:38pm On Oct 15, 2011
@ Poster, Good point, but I will like to remind you that there are many of such in Nigeria, but there are so many hurdles for them to cross, which technically they can do nothing about. For one to be a successful entrepreneur anywhere in the world.

- Access to low interest rate loans

- Constant electricity

- relatively fast internet

-Efficient and secure payment platforms

How can many youths be successful without these things available? that is my question for you!

Etomazone:
Where did you hear that he stated the scores for the match, if you listen to all his prophecies, he never gives scores, he only talks in parables like His father Jesus Christ did. Please crave for correctness and accuracy of information.

See His words below again:

“People might be saying "oh why wouldnt he just pray and change things to favour Nigeria". I cannot just do it on my own. Im not a witch doctor, im a pastor. If a prophecy is given about a certain people, these people must agree with the man of God in prayer before God can do anything about it or else, it ll remain as it is. In my vision, i see two teams struggling and struggling for just one goal. Then in the second half. One of the teams scores. That goal will decide the match. Hmmm, well. . . All i can say is that the game does not favour Nigeria. God showed me even the guinea player that ll score the goal that ll decide the match but me revealing his name will mean endangering him on that day. But with God, all things are possible o. First of all, we have to play our own part. Pray as if all depends on God. Play football as if all depends on you. Thank you. . . . . . . Words of the man of God, PROPHET T.B JOSHUA on sunday 2nd october, 2011”
The match is over and he is so so wrong! Why should football become religious, the hardworking and tactical team wins or looses or draws! God can only act when a team is prepared! Do you think the spanish guys won the world cup because they are christians? Hell NO! They worked hard and God honored their hardwork! Nigerians are so gullible and deceived and you are one of them unfortunately! For your information the match ended 2:2 so tell you man that he lied and God does not lie! NONSENSE!
Politics › Re: Illiteracy Rate In Nigeria Is Up To 70% - Vc by cgem: 9:24am On Sep 25, 2011
MANY comments here proove that most of you don't even understand what "illiterate" means. FYI If you can read and write in any language, you are literate. It must not be english, If I can read and write in chinese for example I am literate. Stop this crap of presuming someone that dropped out of secondary school to be an illiterate! The question is "can he read and write?"

Just shows so many people are so dumb, that they cannot even make sensible judgements because they are all enveloped in a cloud of ethnicism and tribal factions! BTW I don't even believe the dumb professors statistics, At most I will say it is an assertion, because no research was carried out to that effect by his "fallen glory" university

This is a laudable project. We supposed to have this every where in the country. The WHO has said that Cancer deaths have surpassed the deaths due to HIV/AIDs, TB and Malaria combined in developing countries. My only reservation is that 100million naira ($650,000) is small to set up such a center to be "standard". In the post it is said that the center will provide screening and treatment. That money will not be able to do that, I am hoping other people will donate to such a center.

@Mudley - Thanks. The visa is a B1/B2 visa i.e a business/conference visa. The visa starts from May18th - Sept 16th 2010 (sorry I earlier made a mistake, the visa is a 4month visa). and the submit holds from 3rd - 8th of August.
What if my friend goes on the 3rd and on the 7th he applies for an extension to visit family and friends. Do you think it would be granted? If so who does he apply to while in the US? What is the full meaning of USCIS?
Thanks for your help

A friend of mine was given a US visa to attend a submit scheduled for august. His visa is for 3 months. But in the visa it was written "annotation: 1 week maximum.

He wanted to go to the US 1 week prior to the submit to visit friends and family. Is it possible for immigration officials to extend his stay on request to two weeks? As far as is within the 3 month period of visa?

Please any help on this will be appreciated.

The United States knows exactly what they are doing! Yara'adua was never their ally, infact American govt has not been favored by the UMYA govt, during his time he invited Iran to help Nigeria in Nuclear electricity, he sold a lot of oil wells to the chinese, sidelined US and gave Chinese most of our multibillion dollar contracts.
US is happy to have Jonathan, and they will do everything to have Jonathan become president 2011, they want to take good control again of Nigeria's main economic driving tool and that is oil. Removal of Iwu therefore confirms this. Can any country of the world dictate to another country who should head what? the answer is no. But in the case of US they are very interested in the 2011 elections and who governs Nigeria. America do not want the Chinese to have more economic control in Africa's most populous nation and Africa's second largest economy. The saying goes "He who controls Nigeria controls Africa" its a fight of the two nations over Nigeria. Hence, the call for removal of Iwu

Hello all,

The 419 thing has finally been publicized by the most popular black woman in the world. Oprah winfrey on her show with Brian Ross of ABC news said all Nigerians are fraud stars. The topic of the show was "Internet scams by Nigerians"
At the moment in the world today Nigerians are at great disadvantage. In Australia they do not allow wire transfers to Nigerians. In the US Daily Times and New York Times they always warn American citizens about having to do anything with Nigerians.
Several times on ABC news, they have focused on Nigerian scams to enlighten the americans. Infact they have come to lagos before to arrest yahoo boys in cafes! Straight from New York.
It is a pity, for those of you that have been to Europe and America you know how Nigerians are viewed. Even on Nairaland people bring in healthy discussions and some others are trying to bring in scam adverts to make quick money. Agreed not all Nigerians are fraudsters, but I mean most of the emails scams that are sent to 100s of millions every day are coming from this part of the world.
Nigerians are intelligent but a lot of people direct their intelligence to criminality. Even at student level when one becomes a student union government, his year plan is to buy a car before he leaves. Let the yahoo boys look at people that have directed their intelligence to bringing fame to the country and to them selves. Take a look at Prof Olufunmilayo Olopade, who won the McArthur genius award, for her work on breast cancer, take a look at Chimanda the lauret writer, and many others, these are people that we should cue from.
For all you of that are just trying to get out of the borders of Nigeria to perpetrate crime, You shall no no peace and the end shall be distastrous for you. Let us give our country a good name and stop shitty emails trying to defraud other careless or greedy people.
The latest news rocking this country is federal government expenditure of $16billion on power, with little or no light to common Nigerians. Look at China as big as it is only 2.2billion USD is used to rebuild Beijing for the common wealth games! Sarkozy, the French president was in the middle east to sign a number of contract with at least 4 countries for provision of Nuclear power by france and that contract was just $10billion. Now compare that with Nigeria and see how corruption have eaten so deep! I love Nigeria, but we should join hands and make Nigeria a better place.
There are a lot of issues and this is spreading like a cancer. Comments please on this this thread.
