geekbabanla: Sorry for late response bro. As I said, you need to do alot of research, getting full tuition waiver or even full scholarship has higher probability with the top schools. So, just take one of the rankings, probably the CUG ranking and check the top 30-50 schools for your course, then goto each of their web pages one after the other and navigate extensively on the scholarships they offer. By the time you do this, trust me you'll be overloaded with information. Some schools I can remember presently that do offer full scholarship/tuition are Oxbridge, Nottingham, Loughborough, Sheffield I think, Glasgow, Dundee etc. As I said, research. I wish you the best bro. thanks bro. I think you are right with the top schools. my issue with top schools is that they tend to pick only first class grads. |

geekbabanla: Yes, there are many. Some offer full tuition waiver, some 50% and other different types of waiver. Usually, you have to go to the school sites and search. please bro.kindly point out those that offer full tuition waiver. I have searched .but I found many offer a kind of discount off the actual tuition. I v pm u as well . |

it seems many of our brothers and sisters here who got admitted both with tuition waiver ade yet to get their visa even when most schools are on with studies. our prayer is that before the end of september, the storm will be over in jesus name. whatever good work God has started, he will surely finish it. |

kanayogod: We wanna hear first hand experiences that you have lived in Canada, US and even Australia. You think in Nigeria, 200k job makes you comfy? How many hundred thousand graduates can raise their hands of getting 200k jobs? And besides, I shudder when you always assumes its all about making money abroad! What happens to living in a society where things, amenities actually work? Like I dont have to burn gas to type this message! Like I get medical at no cut throat cost? many grads live on 20k jobs. thats deteriorating. I expect finland to be better by far. |

Zudoka: I want to apply for masters this year too to start school next year September. But I've noticed that unlike Norway, Finland doesn't exempt Nigeria from English test requirements. I've not seen any university in Finland that doesn't require IELTS. Have you?
I have IELTS but it's general test. no. English test is one of the major requirements from my findings. maybe you will need to take the academic test. |

jiigga: hello, @chaiks,
im jiigga, and i just read that you applying to finland ?.. can i ask you a question, if thats ok? please.
so if you still GOIN TO apply for finland , do you think right now, it may be gettin kinda late? cos SEPTEMBER is already round the corner.. when most schools round the world resume sessions..
im only askin cos since early july, i applied through an agent.. and till date, i got nothin.. he's very confident on gettin something though... and i could be wrong though. but im concerned it might be too late for anything. . getting accepted to some school etc.. and lets say i get accepted, when i show up at the embassy.. i hope they wont mind if the school's starting date is already way over-due..
what you think sir ?
if you may respond, it will be appreciated.. thanks a lot.. Hello. good to see ur interest in finland. I think there is only one application round to finish schools which usually starts from December 1 and terminates around january 17. am aiming towards sept 2019 not this current year as application deadline has already ended.meanwhile, did the agent say he will get you a school for this year? maybe its a private university if am right.gurus here can clear you on that. are you going for masters or undergraduate? |

SnazzyBaba: The opinion of one single person should not deter you from your goal. A lot of testimonies abound on this platform and you chose the one negative one.
Please be focused and run after your dreams and you wont regret it.
Yes, Finnish Universities have introduced tuition. If you can afford it, Please pay. You will have opportunities to work and you can recoup your investment in the end.
Best of luck. haha. am not deterred sha. just want to know of opportunities in Sweden since its a neighbouring country. for me , I will surely apply to finland hoping to get a scholarship by his grace. |

Then check for the admission requirements to know which of GRE /TOEFL/GMAT is/are required. ok bro. thanks .just saw university of Nebraska omaha for masters in pol science. gre not required but can be submitted. then etsu and Stephen austin state university don't need gre for masters in history. I think they are cool. but ill search for more. |

Honestly this thread is quite helpful. After many months of fear, I have decided to take the gre. my fear is that am not all that smart in mathematics having come from a social science background. I don't know if there is a similar person here.my profile reads undergrad in history and international studies 4.49/5 ielts 6.5 intended masters courses- international relations, peace and conflict studies, international development studies.
how best should I prepare to pass please? |
