the obviously unfounded and exaggerated figure of 150,000 pounds comes to N45M @ N300/pound so even if it's true GMB spent that much on her in 4 years, that amounts to a mere N11.25M/Year which is a paltry 4% of his legitimate yearly pension as a former head of state.

If the OP needs to accuse GMB of corruption, he needs to up his game cos this is a very poor effort.

The fuss is that in 2003, 2007 and 2011 Buhari was not expected to win so it didn't matter whether he had certificates or not but this time Buhari is looking like he will win hence the panic and attempt to disqualify him by any means necessary. GEJ and/or his supporters are behind this.

Well this article is an old reaction to a Buhari lecture. Buhari has been giving lectures to civil society institutions for the past 30years or so.
So first of all this takes away the illiteracy question ...but we also know about GEJ's ZERO record of giving lectures or public talks since the 15 or so many years that we have known him, so let us get that out of the way first.

Now this Babatope guy is a Marxist- Leninist guy who turned coat to work for Abacha and got disowned by his political base. He has made good for himself but will never have credibility. All he has written about Buhari's lecture were sentiments shared well by Nigerians. Civilian regimes were corrupt and military regimes were less corrupt at least until IBB came. The coup against Shagari was regrettable but if you were around then, the corruption was getting really bad and the oil price was unbelievably low. Also the Shagari regime had rigged elections in the west causing an almost identical return to operation write. Umaru Dikko was running amok and people like Akinloye, Okadigbo and all, the rest were just getting too big for breeches while the president was too gentle to asset leadership. That was why the coup came.
