jalether: So you agree that it's only one of the many ways yet you emphasise on Yak's lack of emotion during the national anthem. giving it your all. Didn't you see the 'imagine' word before the comment? It was used as an example. So was YAK jalether: I will rather have Yak play like he did against the agies than to show any emotions during a mere anthem. it's better to show that passion on the pitch by giving it your all. Yak didn't do anything special against the Argies . . . . don't get carried away here. Nobody did. Maybe apart from the goalie Is the way Yak played what you call passion? |

jalether: Is crying the only way of showing ones passion. players show passion in different ways. point to any playe apart fo the korean striker that has
cried during his country national anthem. I bet you won't find any in the torny so far. does that mean that none out the large propotion (about 99%) of the
players that never showed emotions during their respective countries anthem lack passion Did I say that? It's just one of the ways . . . . . . If you watch Rugby, you'll see these monstrous huge men crying during national anthems because it means a lot to them. Tell me why the Korean dude was crying? Was it because someone raped his mum? His performance on the pitch after was even more passionate with the way he ran his socks off. Yak doesn't even know the national anthem so how can it even mean anything to him. |

Sagamite:

Jesus, Lord. Na tomorrow? I had put my mind on Thursday because the commentators said Arg was playing next on Thursday.
As par Greece, if they mark in the midfield like they did vs Arg, anything is possible. They could get trounced by Greece. Yea Thursday . . . . its past 12 already. Sagamite: Exactly my point.
The problem had never been coaching per se. It is the quality of players, and far more the mentality. But most fans and press were living in a deluded world of "Great Nigeria", "Giant of Africa". Great me sweet arse. Giant me smelly arse.
I did not believe any coach can change that before the WC and saw no reason replacing the coach expecially as such change will take time. I think the most important factor is organisation. Generally, African football lack adequate organisation and discipline and that is why most African countries employ white coaches. It is the mentality. |

Sagamite: We need to be able to lock up our players like the N.Koreans if they don't play well.
Let Yak know he would spend 14 months in Mubi prison in Taraba state and see how hard he would work. Even from the national anthem alone, their star player was crying like someone slapped his mama. That's what I call passion. Now, imagine Yak crying like that when they're singing "Arise O Compatriot" . . . Impossible!!! Our players don't give a damn about anything. They will mess up in this WC and then go back to their various clubs. To be honest, a lot people think we will beat Greece tomorrow but I'm not that convinced. Just tell them their club sides wont pay them for 2 months and see how their performance will improve. MOurinho+Wenger+Ferguson cant help NIGERIA . . . . not this crop of players anyway. |

Sagamite: U you no see as ordinary N.Korea score the great Brazil. Even the commentators (wey most likely no like dem country) say that was a dignified loss.
Our players dey go pitch applaud Messi & co and some are saying it is a great SE performance. We are different from the Koreans. Nigeria's football has never been about being defensive and cagey like that. Those guys were playing like their life depended on it. Do you think our boys earning big money will do that? I will be surprised if Yak and co will play their heart out like that . . . . . not in a million years. |

I remember Oliseh weeping like a baby that night in Surulere in 2000, when Cameroun beat Nigeria on penalties. Not any more though.
