Armero is wing-back. Modern fullbacks seem to be tending more toward wing-back roles.

Perreira also played LCM @ the world cup, but is the best up and coming LB behind perhaps Coentrao/Bale axis.

Yea I agree . . . my point was his defending is not the best (as a left back) since he'll potentially be replacing Clichy whos defending is shocking at the moment as well but he's better going forward (as a left winger).

I watched him against Napoli some weeks ago and he was sublime going forward but defensively couldnt cope. His positioning needs fine-tuning still

I think Armero is just average as a left back.
He is far better as a left winger which he has been playing in the past couple of months for Udinese.

I think he's still owned by a third party though so Arsenal wouldn't be an ideal club for him.
