@Chamo
Uve started again. DKs question is clear? Are we gonna get Kaka if we have the chance yes or no?

Kaka adds nothing, I mean nothing to the team apart from his attacking prowess and his creative play (just like Ozil). So are u saying UTD won't get another lightweight if he says he wants to play for us?
Duh!
I have answered the questions so many times . . . why should I keep repeating myself.
Are we gonna get Kaka? Probably not. Not a fan of his anyway.

And stop comparing the two abeg.
If you dont understand my point, just ask. It's that simple. I dunno why I have to keep repeating myself with you.

dayokanu:
Van der Vaart has now become a point of reference, A player who couldnt get regular shirt in 3 seasons at Madrid  under 3 coaches, Even in the National team he is a sub despite being one of the first to be capped in the team.

Vdv was chased from Madrid my Ozil and we are mentioning VdV here, How many serious minded clubs would have VdV in their ranks?
Egbon, e soro ju!
This statement is lame.

I used his work rate as an example on how he at least fights for the cause.
So because VdV wasn't a regular at Madrid . . . does that mean he is rubbish? cheesy

dayokanu:
Your point with Ozil is that he doesnt defend, Does Kaka defend? Simple question, So since Kaka doesnt defend Man utd would never need a player like him.
Not just his defending sef, he is a lazy azz moraphocker that should never come near OT.

Kaka is a special player . . . . . Ozil isn't yet. Stop riding on his nuts egbon grin grin

dayokanu:
We have seen how players of Man Utd quality lost 4-0 last night yet Ozil is not Manure quality
This is where you lot are getting it wrong.
Just because he doesn't fit into a system doesnt mean HE IS NOT QUALITY booda DK.  grin grin No one is saying Ozil is a crappy player.
He fits perfectly into Werder's system and Germany's.

Ozil has only completed 90 mins once WHy because most times by 75min Madrid is already coasting and he would be taken out to rest for the next game.

WHy does he keep starting games , No be una people say Canales and Leon go bench am earlier in the season?

Sneijder and VdV are very different from Ozil.

The two of them were chased from Madrid even NdV was chased out for Ozil and Mesut was handed his squad number.

Chamo, Are you telling us if Man Utd gets Kaka they wont find a way to fit him into the squad?
Duh . . . his fitness level is shyte for one . . . even JM said that.
So why is he the only one getting subbed everytime . . . Ronaldo, Higuain, Di Maria etc no dey there?
So were they cruising against Barca when he came off at HT or was he the only one that play shyte.
I'm very sure he wouldn't have played regularly if Kaka was fit at the start of the season.

Ozil is no where near Kaka, so pls dont even compare them.
Kaka is the kind of player a team will be built around.
He's a far better player than Ozil.
Man Utd wont get Kaka anyway . . . . . . . .

I used his move to madrid to illustrate my point that he will fit into United's team as Jose is known to be a defensive minded manager who emphasises on

team work and keeping things tight and if Ozil could fit into his style of play then why shouldn't he fit into fergie's
Again stop mushing things up . . .Is Fergie the same as Mourinho?
Do we play 4-2-3-1 like Real are playing now.

Sneijder and Ozil play the same role . . . did you not see Sneijder defending for his life against Barca in the CL last season?
Have you seen the way VDV fight for the ball at Tottenham?
A little commitment goes a long way.
Maybe he will fit into your team at Chelsea.

jalether:
correct me if I'm wrong but this same "lightweight" berba has been your highest goal scorer this season right? and his goal and overall contribution has

helped the team move two point clear of Chelsea at the top of the league table.
Exactly so why add another 'lightweight' into the team.
Berba fits into our system when we play with 2 up top which we do most times . . . when we go with 1 . . . it's Wazza.
Ozil doesnt fit into our formation and system of play.

jalether:
I still stand by my point that Di Maria and Ozil have been more influential for madrid this season than CR9
That is your personal opinion . . . I stand by my own decision too.
The same Ozil that has only completed 90min once this season.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Red Devils' Zone! by chamotex(m): 12:59am On Dec 01, 2010
jalether:
@ chamo. This is the same crap logic people used to question Ozil's move to madrid and I dare say he has been Madrid's most influential player this season

after Di Maria. Ozil's offensive contribution to any team more than compensate for his poor defensive attribute and that is a FACT

It becomes a problem only when ALL your midfielder's cannot defend- when you have beast like fletcher and ando in midfield, who are

prepared to track the ball all day tiredlessly, who needs another headless chicken in the midfield

with the negative effect Chelsea's lack of creativity in the midfield has had on our recent performance, who do you think we would rather

have in the team right now- a Ramires or a Ozil?
Is Real Madrid Manchester United? Do we play the same way?
La Liga and Premiership are two different leagues.
Many good players have come to the Premiership and flopped.

Ozil is too lightweight for our team especially for a CM.
We already have Berbatov who most fans think doesn't work hard enough

And I disagree with you saying he's their best player this season. Maybe you've been watching another La Liga.
So Ronaldo has been second best right?

Ozil is a good player but he needs to get stuck in sometimes and be consistent. He is still young so he can get better.
But for United . . . . . no way!

I was shocked when even Bojan knew he had to make well timed runs everytime Messi got the ball.
I saw the match on my phone cus I was really busy, without the names, I felt like they had two Messis (one in the centre and one on the right), 5-8 Xavis (they could make forward moving one-touch triangles anywhere on the pitch), and they are proof that a high backline can work if everybody else chases the person with the ball.

I've never seen Mourinho this lost in my entire life . . . how daft is it to try to play the offside trap on your halfway line against a team that has Iniesta and Messi.
TBH, he had no choice, they'll fire him if he decides to play 8-1-1 in an El Classico.

In order words, they are everything we will never be. . .defensively, passing, possession and Messilessly . . .

Pardon me, are u havin a laff?

Answer my question in clear terms

What did you expect Ozil to do yesterday?

Pls, appeal to somethn tangible cos I can't really place what ure tryin to say

Ozil just like every other good madrid player were crap so why say Ozil is not UTDs material cos of what happened yesterday? Be clear and don't muddle things up

How did u arrive @ dt conclusion dt he's not our material?

Just a line is enough

My posts on Carrick is clean enough for u to understand. What else do u want me to say on Carrick
Its not about his performance. All Madrid players played bad. I'm not blaming Ozil for anything.

It's about the fact that it reiterates the point that his style of play is not suited to our own way here which I have been saying all along especially in big games. WE DONT HARBOUR LAZY CENTRAL MIDFIELDERS

In a 4-5-1

How many attacking midfielders mark at all?

They have 2 CM behind them who do all the marking and the role of the AM is to link up with the Striker, Drop to the wings to draw opposing DM's out of position,

In a 4-5-1 The wingers are the ones needed to fall back often.

Most times when Rooney is played as a winger is when he falls back The same role Muller and Podolski play for germany, retrieve the ball from deep, Double with the full back to stifle the opponent
Not when you are playing Barcelona when you know they will outpass you in midfield.
he got away with it because rooney and tevez sacrificed their offensive roles for the good of the team. however, in the games where ronaldo played as a winger in a 4-4-2 system, he tracked back to help his full-back. i saw nothing like that yesterday. real madrid just allowed barcelona players to do their damage. the score line flattered madrid. it should have been 9-0.
The point I'm trying to make is . . . all UTD CM's are grafters that will work their bollocks off to get the ball back for the team.

Wingers can get away with not tracking back most times especially when there is another 3 CM's in the middle of the back.

Anelka can afford not to track back everytime for Chelsea . . . but Lampard cannot!

What does Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka, Robben, Ribery, Ronaldinho, Zlatan, etc contribute defensively?

That must mean all these are not United quality. But Carrick, Evra, Oshea, Fletcher, Anderson, Berbadua, Valencia and Nani are?
You people are getting it all wrong.
I'm not blaming Ozil for the loss or anything . . .I'm making and backing up my statement that Ozil that TKB has been screaming all season long does not fit into the United style of play . . . for a central midfielder.

DK, those players you mentioned are either strikers or wingers with less responsibilities to track back especially when they have 3 midfielders in the middle. They are not particularly central midfielders.

And when Ronaldo played for United, he rarely tracked back but Ronaldo is an exceptional player so he gets away with  it most times.
And when we play the bigger sides thats why Fergie tweaks his tactics and plays him up front with Rooney switching wide.

So Ozil was poor?

What about Khedira? CR9? Alonso?

So a man cannot have a bad game and d next thing he's not UTD material?

And Carrick is UTD material?

When Barca played us hands down in d final, how many passes did our midfielders complete?

Ozil defensive qualities? Na playstation una dey take analyse football?

Starboard- edit your post. U messed up sayin Ozil isn't our material!! He's better than some of d misfits we parade week in week out
It's not because he had a bad game TKB. Seems like you are missing the point.
Defensive quality here doesnt mean he should go and play in defence or turn himself into a Vidic . . . It's about what he does off the ball and how hungry he is to get the ball back.

He's prolly one of the laziest players I've seen in recent times.
That same Barca you mentioned, we kept a clean sheet in 180 minutes of football just a year before that final you mentioned.
If Ozil was in our team, they wouldav beaten us blue black.

Those Carrick and co you mentioned are United materials or are you saying they are not? shocked shocked shocked
They are proven and tested.
3 EPL titles, CL, Couple of CC's etc no be yam.
All our current midfielders are all grafters and are capable of soaking up pressure when being dominated against a team like Barca.

Mourinho knew he goofed by starting him . . . because Madrid's midfield was more open than a prostitutes toto.
He couldnt get behind the ball and defend and was just chasing shadows.

How can a UTD supporter like TKB say Carrick is not UTD material? grin grin grin grin

That was Mourinho's major mistake tonight.
