It's widely accepted because: 1) Its the longest holiday in the year for most people 2) Time when people get free food from neighbours 3) Time when people can visit those who are dear to them and spend a lot of time with them especially if they live far apart linked with (1) above 4) Many other reasons that can not be enumerated. "Objection, your honor," shouted the other lawyer. There then followed a long argument between the lawyers as to whether the question was proper. Finally, after 45 minutes, the judge allowed it. "So," the first lawyer continued, "Please answer the question: What did Mrs. Edwards say when you went to her house after breakfast on December 3rd?" "Nothing," said the witness. "No one was home." |

As I wrote earlier, everything is regulated by governments, including marriage. God ordained marriage from the beginning, but not the registry, dowry, etc. Marriage is a result of an agreement between a man and a woman to live and share the rest of their life together. |

Webmasters should just see themselves as a businessperson, especially if you are running your own biz. Even if you are working for a company you will have to dress formally when meeting clients. |
Marriage before our present times is mainly an agreement between a man and a woman with the consent of their parents. And is usually followed by celebration by the families of both couple. But everything is now regulated by the government, hence, the need to formalise marriage. |
