I had previously thought that the Falcons are going to get whipped by the Swedes after checking the profiles of the players, but I think they can go far now if they put in more effort. |

It is not true that Nigerians working abroad earns more than the locals. They may be given allowances when they first arrive there, to settle their families, accomadation, transport. Once settled they receive the same as locals, even less at times. So don't be under illusions that Nigerians or Africans in general are treated better abroad. In fact the reverse has always been the case, because most of the time the Africans have been looking for job for a long time and will accept whatever they are offered just to get their daily bread. |
I was just wondering why are they deliberately delaying the league after wasting two seasons playing a silly format that doesn't help the local game. |
I don't think it should be suspended indefinitely, it has a good chance of improving our economy. The Naira will appreciate anyway, but the redenomination will make the impact of the appreciation of Naira not to affect the Purchasing Power. That is the way I see it. ![]() |

Those who go to churches where they worship dollar and preach prosperity too much should be watched carefully - before they start their own 419 rings - so that they could be nipped in the bud. |
Check out the Brazillian team at 1996 Olympic and compare with the teams played at France 98, and Korea/Japan 02 and then compare with Nigeria and you will understand my gist. |

Check the pic posted above by smile4kenn, is that face older than that of a typical 17yr-old in Nigeria? |
I-man:The reasons are quite simple: After winning they get snatched up by European clubs - where they think they are bigger than their country. Most of them are afraid of injury - they don't want to lose their place at their clubs - so they don't play with dedication when playing for their country. The third is an NFA-generated problem. They don't allow them to grow together, nations cup 2008, some of them will join the senior team, while those who are currently growing with the senior teams are dropped. |

@d-onedayo Purist and co are probably those who think that white people are honest just because they are . . . . . ummm white people. |

Finally, I concluded that Purist lost out at the screening for the under-17s, that's why Purist is so pissed, he/she had probably expect them to lose so as to be able to bash them on Nairaland peace-out |
Why should a foreigner be paid in foreign currency in Nigeria, it's just not acceptable and government must look into it. That is why it is better to support our homegrown entrepreneurs, because a capitalist from home can never behave the way a capitalist from abroad will. Homegrown capitalist will respect local people and if not can be easily compelled to do so. |
Where did Nigerians who falsify their age learn it from? From Western education. |
