An infamous robber met his Waterloo today after he was descended upon by an angry mob who caught him "while on duty" in Owerri, Imo state capital. He was beaten and set ablaze by the crowd. Below are pictures of his charred remains.

The remains of former presidential aspirant, Alh. Umaru Aliyu Shinkafi has arrived at the Sultan Abubakar International Airport in Sokoto state. Daughters of the deceased including Dr Zainab Atiku Bagudu, wife of the Kebbi State Governor and Hajiya Fatima Shinkafi, Zamfara State Commissioner of Commerce are among those that accompanied the dead body of the late Marafan Sokoto.

The Governors of Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States, and Magajin Garin Sokoto representing the Sultan of Sokoto were among hundreds of people that witnesses their arrival. His funeral prayer is expected to hold in Sokoto State shortly.

A man who was traveling to Benue state for a burial -has been allegedly killed by a policeman after a confrontation at a checkpoint in Lagos. His son Ebonyi Ogbole who is in a grieving mood took to his Instagram page to share what happened. Read below;

"Mr francis Ebonyi Ogbole was travelling to Benue State for the burial of his junior sister, on his way to the Iddo park, Oyingbo, Lagos State, escorted by his children which makes four people in the car, they were stopped by stop-and-search policemen with metro police van registration number KSF-176 EE

The policeman requested for all the necessary papers which he presented, then he was entering his car then a policeman, Sergeant Matthew Oche with force number F/NO-372727, said no he cant leave now cause the back glass of his car is tinted.

Mr. Francis however told him that its was because its still early and dark, around 5:30a.m, that the glass is not tinted, but the policeman was looking for a way to extort money from him. Out of anger, the policeman pushed him and he fell, broke his head and died instantly."

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar was back again in the Northeast today for routine visit to the operational area. His visit this time around coincides with Eid-el-Fitr celebration which afforded him the opportunity to feast with troops in Maiduguri and Yola.

Instead of staying back at home like any other person to enjoy Salah celebration with his immediate family, Air Marshal Abubakar chose to spend the day with his bigger family – the Air Force family. The CAS, by this demonstration of commitment, has shown once again that he is both an inspirational leader and a devout Muslim.

As usual, Air Mshl Abubakar did not miss the opportunity of the Salah celebration to appreciate the troops for their selflessness and sacrifices. Conveying warm greetings from the Commander-in-Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari CFR, the CAS urged the troops not to be complacent even as he expressed the belief that the fight against insurgency is at its tail end.

Air Mshl Abubakar reiterated the commitment of the current NAF administration to continue to provide the necessary training, adequate equipment as well as boosts the welfare of personnel and their dependants.

Troops celebrated the Salah midway between brief stay on ground to enjoy the day and getting airborne as fighter jets were scrambled intermittently to undertake strike missions.

An alarm has been raised about a Nigerian lady who was killed in cold blood in Oman, a country in the middle east. According to a Facebook user, Tokunbo Kenneth Aledare who stays in the country's capital, Muscat, the woman is reportedly set to be buried in the middle east country without the knowledge of her people. Below is what he shared on his Facebook page.

Pls, if anyone knows this lady, should contact her family. She came to Oman like 5/6 months ago. She was killed in cold blood & they are planning to bury her here without her parents awareness. Pls forward & let's get her people involved. Thanks
