Congratulations are in order for this Nigerian boy who has made the country proud across international waters. Mobolaji Emmanuel Ologede, graduated from a school in Maryland, United States on Saturday, May 21, 2016 as a Valedictorian after topping his class with a 4.0GPA ( a position he had been since his freshman year). He was awarded a scholarship worth $80,000 (over N25 million). Congratulations to him once more.

Osun governor, Rauf Aregbesola on Tuesday inspected some ongoing projects within Osogbo with his crew. Among the projects inspected were the new 3000 capacity Osogbo High School, the Oba Adesoji Aderemi Highway under construction (with workers cheering him during the inspection).

The governor also visited and interacted with pupils of Ataoja School of Science, Osogbo as plans are underway to move them to a new structure soon.

Youth activist and Senior Special Assistant to Senate President Senator Bukola Saraki on Youth Matters, Mr Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere has been released by the Department State Services (DSS) after a month in detention. He was arrested and detained over his alleged anti-government activity and a running battle with the Minister of Sports Solomon Dalong.

In a bid to secure her territory (literally), this woman hung on her boyfriend's balcony for hours after being notified that her lover reportedly slept with another woman in his house. The boyfriend locked himself up refused to open despite her screaming and shouting. She had to climb the balcony to see for herself and also wait for him till he comes out. This happened in Bonateki area in Douala, Cameroon.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that nobody will be shielded from the military operations against militants sabotaging the nation’s economy.

He stated that all Niger Delta governors oppose the use of violence to settle grievances, pointing out that the governors are billed to meet with the Vice President on 7th of June, 2016 to discuss and proffer solutions to the security situation in the region.

Speaking on Monday at the Government House, Port Harcourt when he granted audience to the Country’s Military High Command led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, Governor Wike said : "What's happening affects our state revenue. We shall help the military to fish out militants blowing up oil pipelines in the region "

The Chief of Defence Staff was accompanied by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ibas and the Chief of Air Staff , Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar.

The governor said that the State Government is worried about the resurgence of militancy in the Niger-Delta as it negatively affects development in the area. He assured the Military High Command that the Government and people of Rivers State will support efforts to secure the area.
