Here are photos of stranded passengers at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja following its closure. The Federal Government formally announced the closure of the Airport, Abuja, beginning from 12 a.m. Wednesday.

The airport will be close for six weeks to enable the rehabilitation of the runway, a decision that has raised concerns among stakeholders.

The first international aircraft has landed in Kaduna International Airport ahead of the airport's first international flight today. A ceremonial canon was used by the Airport fire fighters to welcome the plane. According to the Kaduna state government, Captain Alene who flew the first Boeing787 bird into Kaduna International Airport confirmed that the Airport Landing System is in an excellent shape.

Meanwhile, a high powered Federal Government delegation led Hadi Sirika and Gambo Hamzat Garba by also received the first local flight; Azman Air in Kaduna Airport

The Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC today Saturday, 4th March 2017 received one of the Federal law maker from the state who recently defected to the party. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have apprehended a suspect at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, over 26.2kg of ephedrine found in female foot wears. .

The narcotics were detected during the screening of passengers. In another operation, the operatives also arrested two suspects who had just arrived from Cambodia and Sierra Leone with 305g and 1.37kg of cocaine respectively. .

The suspect arrested in connection with the ephedrine seizure, 48-year-old Ogujiuba Zacchaeus, is an electrician, who was on his way to Tanzania. One of the other two suspects – Uchegbu Emeka (33), a textile merchant, allegedly inserted 305g of cocaine in his anus. .

The third suspect, Emeka Okafor (28), an auto parts dealer, reportedly ingested 1.37kg of cocaine. Emeka said he had lost everything he had due to economic recession and that is why he agreed to smuggle cocaine to Cambodia for N800,000.
