A mosque which was overtaken by the Boko Haram terrorists group and was used as an operational base in Kogi state was today destroyed on the order of the state governor. Ahlul-Sunnah Mosque in Inike, Okene LGA which was taken over by members of the Boko Haram terrorist group. The Nigerian Army got Intel that members of BH used the mosque as operational base and came here in 2015. It was a battle. You can see signs of the gun duel on the building.

It still stood. Used for producing IEDs. Some of the fundamentalists still gathered here clandestinely in the name of Islam to plan and hatch evil.

The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Mr Kayode Fayemi, yesterday visited the sites of illegal gold mining operations in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State. Fayemi said, the ministry was on a National tour on mining locations.

The minister, while commenting on illegal mining, said it was a source of concern for the government, adding that steps were being taken to address the challenges. He said the government had been active in pulling together the artisanal and informal miners to reduce illegal mining.

History was made on Tuesday when fresh tomatoes from Kano arrived Lagos by rail. According to reports, this will be the first time fresh tomatoes will be transported from Kano to Lagos by train since 1959, 58 years ago.

Disclosing this at First Bank’s maiden Agric Expo 2017 held at Eko Hotel and Suites, on Tuesday (yesterday), Emmanuel Itoya Ijewere, an eminent businessman with extensive experience and interests across the banking, finance and agricultural spectrums, said:

“The train left Kano at about 10am yesterday. As at 11am today, it has arrived Osun and by 10pm this evening, it will be in Lagos. That is happening for the first time in 58 years. I want to thank those who have made it possible including the minister of Agriculture. After this, it will now be weekly affairs. We will move a lot of these things conveniently.”

The military has in recent times stepped up its campaign against the Boko Haram Terrorists in the North East. The range of operations are aimed at routing the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists who are seeking refuge in some remote locations in the forests.

One of these operations carried out by troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on Saturday, involved troops of 159 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade. Troops of the unit acting on a piece of intelligence, successfully executed a swift operation against suspected Boko Haram terrorists locations at Manlumudori, Aridi, Filari, Kingimari, Dinamari, Itari and Mirimari villages.

The unit further artillery bombardment operations west of Subdu village neutralized the concentration of the Boko Haram terrorists at Bulabulin and Alagarno forests.

The offensive operations later dovetailed into cordon and search operation at Degeltura, Gisum and Popamari villages.

Pictured is the native doctor who died while having sex with a prostitute in Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo state. The deceased identified as Lambert Osigwe reportedly gave up the ghost while having sexual intercourse with a prostitute identified as Onyinye Nwosu in an hotel near Anara main market in Anara town on Thursday the 9th of March 2017.

According to reports, the deceased was a regular customer of the sex worker who offered him free sex on that day when he said he had no money before meeting his end...

The prostitute was immediately arrested and detained by police Officer, Anara, who came with a team of police officers in a Hilux. The corpse of the herbalist has been deposited at St. Kizito Mortuary, Ama­raku in Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State”.

A well meaning Nigerian man has narrated how he helped a disabled guy while driving in Benin city, Edo state. According to him, people refused to help the physically challenged man who was laying helplessness in the middle of the road to avid any case. Read what was shared below;

As I drove along James watt road. I noticed a disable guy, laying helplessness in the middle of the road. I pulled over to check what was going on.. People assumed he was dead and afraid to get close not to have a case.

Many cars drove by including a police truck without stopping to observe or see what was going on, many business owners watching while some were recording.

It took me just 50 Naira pure water to revive him. We live in a country where there is no emergency response. If you have an emergency without help, you are most likely going to die.. what a wicked nation.

A better day for my generation.

Yesterday, excited Nigerians took to the streets to celebrate president Muhammadu Buhari in their own way after his return from medical vacation abroad. Several groups in various locations sang, drummed and danced to welcome the president.

A group of youths paraded a cow which was "designed" to express support for the President as the paraded it through the streets singing Oyoyo! Baba Oyoyo!’

Some others killed camels and rams to celebrate the president's return...See pictures below;

Japheth Kwanduno and his wife Lydia Kwanduno who were declared missing afer being kidnapped in Abuja have been reportedly found. The couple had gone to church in ECWA, Gwarimpa Estate, Abuja and were seen leaving the church on Wednesday but they did not make it home. When they were not home at the expected time, their children called and when there was no reply, they decided to get the authorities involved.

Their daughter shared the good news of their rescue via her twitter handle. see below;

There was jubilation throughout parts of the state late this morning as news of President Buhari’s return was received. Residents trooped out to the streets to celebrate especially in the capital city.

Jubilant crowds thronged Ramat House, residence of Gov. Abubakar to felicitate with Mr. President. Receiving the crowd, Gov. Abubakar thanked them for their prayers and goodwill towards the President. He promised to intimate Mr. President of the enormous support shown by the people of the state.

The governor also expressed his happiness about the return of the President. He also prayed Allah Almighty grant him the strength to continue steering the affairs of the nation. He reiterated that the APC is a united party working to alleviate the sufferings of the common man, and bring the dividends of democracy to the people.

The much anticipated rehabilitation work of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja by Julius Berger has commenced. The airport runway was cleared of unwanted equipment and aircrafts while Julius Berger vehicles were seen moving construction equipment to the site on Thursday.

The Manager, International Terminal, of the airport, Hajara Musa, said the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) had handed over the runway to the contractor. Musa disclosed that the company had already done the marking to clearly indicate the runway had been closed to landing.

According to her, FAAN management has handed over the airport runway rehabilitation to Julius Berger Plc, which is on the ground carrying materials from one place to the other.

It started when some group of boys (baggers) raped one Miss Blessing Ossai on the 5th of December 2016 in the process of initiation The grandfather of the little girl reported to the police post in ogume but they refused arrest..

The matter was later transferred to ABBI division and they arrested two boys and the girl that lured her to the scene ....(iyamah Ifeanyi, ofuzor Emeka a.k.a nwa~aba and ogwuezue Dorcas) on the 18th of January through the help of the youth president Comr. KELLY ONAH and his boys they were subsequent prosecuted and the three reminded in prison custody on the 15th of February the others ran away reinforced...

Came back and started attacking the youths that helped the police in arresting them.. They attacked one Mr Jerry odagwe at gun point.. Bit him up and burnt down his new Qlink motorcycle another arrest Came and three people ( lucky ochade, enede Jackson & Thomas ochade) were arrested on 4th of March and that was exactly how the remaining once started destroying all the properties of the boys that helped the police and the properties of the rape victim..

There were continuous shooting from that 4th to 7th in the community and everybody was running for safety..

The matter was transferred to the police headquarter at Asaba and through the STATE ANTI CULT UNIT(SACU) they were arrested on the 8th of March at around 1:30am and we got six of them (Henry abamba, ochade David, uti Chidi, Young Jackson a.k.a boy 2 men, ishiekwene Maxwell & Akom Sylvester a.k.a small) the sacu recovered 2 cut to size gun, 15 bullets, dagger & charm. currently they are still in police custody at the headquarters investigation are still on going and they will soon be charged to court to go join the first once
