1. Dice potato very small, boil 10mins

2. Add green peas and boil

3. Sieve and allow it to cool

4. Beat the eggs till foamy

Add milk,

sugar and whisk.

5. Add flour bit by bit till very creamy but not thick.

6. Add tomatoes, onion, pepper, green pepper.

7. Add diced beef.

8. Add cooked potato with peas.

9. Stir your mixture very well.

10. Grease your pan with cooking oil and pour in yours mixture. 11. Bake 30- 45mins.

1. If you happen to over-salt a pot of soup, just drop in a peeled potato. The potato will absorb the excess salt.

2. When boiling eggs, add a pinch of salt to keep the shells from cracking.

3. Never put citrus fruits(Oranges,Lemons, limes, etc) or tomatoes in the fridge. The low temperatures degrade the aroma and flavor of these fruits.(That’s why our tomatoes don’t last in the fridge)

4. To clean iron cook-ware, don’t use detergents. Just scrub them with salt and a clean, dry paper towel.

5. When storing empty airtight containers, throw in a pinch of salt to keep them from getting stinky.

6. If you are making gravy(stew) and accidentally burn it, just pour it into a clean pan and continue cooking it. Add sugar a little at a time, tasting as you go to avoid ‘over-sugaring’it. The sugar will cancel out the burned taste.

7. Burned a pot of rice? Just place a piece of white bread on top of the rice for 5-10 minutes to draw out the burned flavour. Be careful not to scrape the burned pieces off of the bottom of the pan when serving the rice.

8. Before you chop fresh red peppers, rub a little vegetable oil into your hands and your skin won’t absorb the spiciness.

9. If you aren’t sure how fresh your eggs are, place them in about four inches of water. Eggs that stay on the bottom are fresh. If only one end tips up, the egg is less fresh and should be used soon. If it floats, it’s past the fresh stage.

10. To banish ants from the kitchen, find out where they are coming in and cover the hole with petroleum jelly(Vaseline). Ants won’t trek through the jelly. If they are coming under a door, draw a line on the floor with chalk. The little bugs also won’t cross a line of chalk.

11. Don’t store your bananas in a bunch or in a fruit bowl with other fruits. Separate your bananas and place each in a different location. Bananas release gases which cause fruits (including other bananas) to ripen quickly. Separating them will keep them fresh longer.

12. To keep potatoes from budding in the bag, put an apple in with them.

13. If you manage to have some leftover wine, cocktail drinks at the end of the evening, freeze it in ice cube trays for easy addition to sauces (white wine works wonders in sauces, i don’t joke with them) in the future.
14. After boiling pasta or potatoes, cool the water and use it to water your house plants. The water contains nutrients that your plants will love.

15. When defrosting meat from the freezer, pour some vinegar over it. Not only does it tenderize the meat; it will also bring down the freezing temperature of the meat and cause it to thaw quicker. . Note every woman should have vinegar in her kitchen.

16. Do you cry while peeling off onions, then try this. After peeling off your onions, refrigerate the onions for at least 5 minutes, then dice it. You will be glad you did.

17. For aluminium pans that are looking dull, just boil some apple peels in them. This will brighten up the aluminum and make your house smell yummy.

18. If your salt is becoming lumpy, put a few grains of rice in with it to absorb excess moisture.

Nigeria’s controversial senator, Dino Melaye, has explained how he became a graduate of the Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and London School of Economics (LSE) in London.

According to Melaye, the fact that he underwent training in those prestigious institutions and was certified after his training programme, makes him an alumnus and consequently a graduate of the institutions.

He said this during a live political programme on Channels Television, ‘Politics Today’ anchored by Seun Okinbaloye.

The senator, who hails from Kogi State, noted that the kind of training programme one undergoes whether mere apprenticeship, diploma, or degree does not determine his graduate status but the fact that the training programme was completed and certified.

He said: “Even a mechanic, a plumber who undergoes apprenticeship is certificated and he GRADUATES from his training.

“Anyone who attends an institution and is certificated for the programme he went there to attend whether Diploma, Degree, or Ph.D… and is certificated, you are an alumni, you are a graduate of that institution, because you carry a certificate of that institution.”

“I believe in investigative journalism and I am not going to be ridiculed on the platform of a television station.

“It is not a question and answer series, whatever I have is mine.

“Whatever I have is mine. Whatever I possess is mine. If you think otherwise, go to cour and sue me for forgery.

Former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwakwanso has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the Vanguard, the former presidential aspirant left the party along with 10 Kano lawmakers on Tuesday.

This comes one year after the APC leadership in Kano State, initiated moves to suspend Kwankwanso over what it called anti-party activities.

The APC Chairman in Kano, Haruna Doguwa, had said Kwakwanso allegedly exhibited actions capable of compromising the party’s unity.

Eros

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has approved the appointment of 63 aides to various offices in his administration.

A statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike, in Lokoja, said the appointments were effective from 1st of April, 2017.

The rationale for the additional appointees at the state level, the statement explained, is to “plug identified gaps in service delivery, fill key positions with the right people and to broaden inclusiveness in governance by bringing people from more communities on board.”

It said in addition to the 54 Senior Special Assistants appointed, nine Special Assistants to the Governor as Federal Constituency Supervisors for the GYB Connect Programme has also been approved.

The statement said the appointment is to recognise and encourage outstanding contributions to the New Direction Agenda.

It added that the nine Special Assistants will also act as direct liaisons between the present administration and the Local Government Ward Coordinators of the GYB Connect Programme.

The newly appointed Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and their Local Government Areas (LGAs) are are:

She said, “My husband is aware of that. Yes, he knows that I was a lesbian and he is very comfortable with me in our marriage.

A former Big Brother Naija housemate, Gifty has finally admitted that she was once married.

The former participant of the reality television show, in an interview with Hiptv said the period she was married was a dark period of her life.

According to Gifty, “I will say it here and now that the marriage issue was kind of real, I was once married, it was a dark part of my life that I don’t want to ever go back to.

“First, I advise every young girl out there; before you go into a marriage, you have to be physically, mentally, emotionally and physiologically matured because I was naive.”

Recall that shortly after she was evicted from the ongoing reality show, Gifty had denied being married.

But a man who identified himself as Augustine Akuma and claimed to be a cousin to her supposed husband, had released photos from the Gifty’s wedding earlier in the week and accused the former housemate of deceiving her fans.

Akumah further alleged that the couple had irreconcilably differences over Gifty’s “cheating lifestyle while still in her husband’s house.”

Gifty had earlier denied the claim, before maintaining that she has never been married to anyone before, stressing that the fake rumours will only make her more famous and bigger.

Brother to legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2face, Hyacinth Idibia, has claimed that he was not allowed to enter the United States of America by immigration officers.

Hyacinth also known as H-I made this claim on Facebook yesterday, when he wrote, “I’ve just been denied entry into the United States #frustrated #stranded.”

He did not, however, give details on what transpired.

Hyacinth has been living in Virginia, United States for years.

Recall that Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa had on Monday urged Nigerians not to travel to the US unless they have a compelling reason.

She further explained that the warning became imperative after some Nigerians with valid visas were denied entry into the US.

However, Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama opposed Dabiri’s statement.

According to Onyeama, no Nigerian with full valid entry visa has been denied entry to the U.S. as being widely spread.

Onyeama, who stated this while fielding questions from newsmen over the issue, said Nigerians were free to travel to the U.S. as the country was not on the ban list.

The House of Representatives has resolved to take inventory of assets seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) so as to ascertain their conditions and current values.

The resolution was sequel to a motion presented by Hon. Benson Babajimi in Abuja.

The motion is entitled: “Need to ascertain the dumps and take an inventory of the forfeited assets in possession of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC).”

While moving the motion, Babajimi noted that “pursuant to Section 20(1) of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Establishment Act 2004, a person convicted of an offence shall forfeit to the Federal Government, all the assets and properties which may or are the subject of interim order of the court.”

According to him, acting under these provisions, the EFCC, since its establishment in 2003, had seized several movable and immovable properties and assets under interim orders of courts.

“Also, be aware that the EFCC maintains dump sites in various parts of the country, where it keeps the movable assets while immovable assets are sealed off.

“Many of these assets have been there for several years while some are already at various stages of decay.

“I am convinced of the need to avoid this needless waste of recovered properties which would otherwise have yielded some much needed revenues to the national treasury,’’ Babajimi said.

The House later mandated its Committee on Financial Crimes to carry out an audit of car dumps and inventory of other movable and immovable assets seized by the EFCC to ascertain their conditions and current values.

DECLARE OMO-AGEGE’S SEAT VACANT, ORGANIZE FRESH POLL IN 60 DAYS – LABOUR PARTY TELLS SENATE, INEC

‎The Labour Party has asked the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately declare Senator Ovie Omo-Agege’s seat vacant, and to set in motion processes to organise election within the next 60 days as required by law.

This came in reaction to his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The call was made in a press conference held at the Labour Party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

According to the party’s National Public Secretary, Ebere Ifendu, the party planned to sue Senator Omo-Agege for subverting the party’s mandate by cross-carpeting to the APC.

It could be recalled that Omo-Agege had while declaring for APC at the plenary, claimed that his decision to leave the LP for the APC was supported by leaders and members of his constituents in Delta State.

However, Ifendu said an alleged division in the party was nothing but a figment of the senator’s imagination, adding that it was on record that the senator sponsored some hoodlums and non-party members to protest at the party office and later claimed to have removed the party leadership.

“As a party, we will challenge his decision to steal the mandate of the Labour Party through the back door in court. We hereby request the Senate President to declare his seat vacant and that INEC should immediately organise election within the next sixty days to fill the vacant seat as required by the law section 68 (1) and 190 of electoral law,” she said.

According to Ifendu, “it is most unfortunate that a person that is expected to be distinguished will go this far in order to subvert the will of the people through the sponsorship of thugs so he could carry out his illegal act of decamping.”

Justice Nathaniel Ayo-Emmanuel of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, on Tuesday adjourned till April 6 further hearing in the case of seizure of the May/June 2015 SSCE results of Christ National Model College, Ido, Ibadan.

The judge adjourned the case in order to allow the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to appear in court.

Mrs Elizabeth Shittu, counsel to the plaintiff , had approached the court to order the examination body to release the 2015 May/June SSCE results of 100 of its students.

According to Shittu, one of the allegations levelled against the secondary school by WAEC was that the 100 students who sat for the examination cheated
