Jesus is the mediator- the “go between”, of the new covenant. The old covenant was the Law, which came through Moses; given so that man could come to the end of himself and cry out for Jesus. When it was given at Mount Sinai, 3,000 people died at its foot. But after the apostles received the outpouring of God’s Spirit of grace, 3,000 people got saved.

The law was full of condemnation; that even if an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned to death (Hebrew 12:20). But thank God for His grace, that set us free from every condemnation, judgement, curse and punishment. Many believers still go back to Mount Sinai, where they try to keep the law and continue to fail at it.

The power of sin is strengthened in a believer’s life, when they continue to live under the law. It is thought that, the more grace is talked about, the more sin increases; that’s not true. “For sin shall no longer have dominion over you, because you are not under the law but under grace” (Romans 6:14). Get in, under the new wine; get in, under grace.

Our Daddy God has called us into His rest, where everything is provided and worked for, by His power. The stone jars represent the Law and they were six in number, representing humanity and self effort. When you mix law and self effort, what you get is water just good enough to wash the feet, but not for the body

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law unto us, He has done it all. You have to connect to the new, beloved i.e. grace. “The law was given through moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus” (John 1:17). So why still connect with the old, which is the law? The law has no power to save, but the grace of God brought salvation (Titus 2:11).

The Law was the mediator of the old covenant, which had all the dos and don’ts. But grace brought a better and everlasting covenant, where God gives us His “I wills”(Hebrew 8:10-12). So it has changed beloved; it’s no longer based on you, but on God. It’s God who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasures (Philippians 2:13). Connect to the grace of God and watch Him work out His will, in and through you.

Prayer: Lord I connect to Your everlasting and ever present grace. Your grace lives through me, and works out its work in me. Amen

In 1 Corinthians 11.25, Jesus also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, every time you drink it, in remembrance of me.” The wine is symbolic of the new covenant. NLT translation states that taking wine during communion, confirms the new covenant. Wine signifies Jesus’ blood, Grace Himself. He is invariably telling us that Grace is here now. Let it take over you and its sweetness lingers forever.

The head steward said, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the cheaper wine” (John 2.10). So EVERYONE ELSE comes with the best first: in career, in marriage e.t.c. And it begins to deteriorate at the time when others should be enjoying it. But not when Grace is involved; the best is kept for later. It can only get better in grace.

Verse 11 of John chapter 2 states that Jesus did this as the FIRST of His miraculous signs and the disciples believed. Jesus showed us Grace first- undeserved, unmerited. When people truly believe in Grace, things will go the right way all the time; for right believing equates right living.

Prayer: My Lord Jesus, I believe and trust Your grace, I can do nothing on my own. Thank You Lord, for Your grace. Amen.

Beloved, our daddy God is interested in us – He watches over us carefully. There was a celebration in Cana and Jesus was there. But the enemy tried to turn this joyous moment to sadness: the wine, the energizer, ran out.

Does it seem like the wine has run out in your marriage, academics or career? The wine finished at this wedding. But thank God, the Alpha and Omega was there. He is Love personified. Even though, it wasn’t yet His time, He still stepped in. He NEVER wants to see us downcast.

There were 6 stone jars used for ceremonial washing at this wedding. The number six in Hebrew represents “humanity” and these jars were usually filled with water, used for cleansing before sacrifices were offered to God. The jars were made of stone, signifying the law. And, the Author of the new covenant decided to choose these particular jars. There were other jars in the house, but Christ chose these because of their significance.

The jars represented human effort, our work in trying to “get to” God: the old covenant. Maybe you are trying too hard to set things right by yourself. It is still the old wine; it’s bound to run out. It’s time to trust our sweet Lord Jesus to turn things around for you.

Beloved, sometimes we do not realize that we have authority in Christ. The bible says, “You shall decree a thing on earth and it shall be established unto you” (Job 22:28). Decrees are made by Royalties i.e. Kings and Queens. As a believer, the King of Kings, backs up your decree and everything has to come to a stand still.

What are you “decreeing”, beloved? You have the command in your mouth; declare and decree the things you want to see in your life. Also as a priest unto God, we no longer offer goats and bulls – we offer the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, unto God. So, when you make a decree as a king, as a priest you back it up with praise and thanks giving, to the Kings of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The devil robs the believer of this authority via guilt and uncertainty. He tells you that you are not worthy, you might not be praying God’s will, you are not at peace with God. Don’t believe his words, cause he’s a liar. Make that decree now, command that situation to stop, speak to that sickness now, you have the authority!

Beloved, the blood of Jesus didn’t just wash our sins and redeem us; it did much more than we can imagine. Our text tells us that His blood also made us kings and priests, to God, our Father. Among the major roles of the king, is to make decrees in the land and establish them. The king’s words and decrees, carry weigh and always come to pass.

1 Peter 2:9 says “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light”. Beloved, by the blood of the Lamb, we have become the chosen ones. Royal priesthood speaks of us, those whom the blood made kings and priests unto God.

Saints,one of the reasons we’ve been made king-priests, is to show forth the praise of our God. Our Father God is delighted to see you make a decree on earth and it’s established. He likes it, when you approach His Throne of Grace as a priest, to make a supplication with thanksgiving. Beloved, you need to know who you really are and the authority you have.

Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” John 20.19

After Jesus’ death, his disciples started to live in fear. They had become quite popular, they were associated with “the Rabbi” that was so different from others. But the Christ had died a shameful death and they now felt like the minority. They felt all alone.

But Jesus had promised He would always be with them. On the day of his resurrection, He appeared to those two disciples traveling from Emmaus asking; “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?” (Luke 24.17). He is touched by our feelings and wants to always reassure us of His love. As He broke bread (His body) with them and ate the sign of His remembrance, they knew He was alive because they recognized Him (Luke 24.30-31). They were thereby empowered to reassure the eleven also.

And while they were spreading the good spell(goodnews), Jesus Himself appeared and the first words out of His mouth was “Peace to you”. Are you troubled or in doubt? Just like Christ spoke on the FIRST DAY of the week to His disciples, He speaks “Peace” to that turmoil right now. So, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?” (Luke 24.38). Behold Jesus (Luke 24.39), His finished work: what His blood purchased for you and rest in Him. He is our Peace.

Welcome to December. Welcome to our month of Peace.

Prayer: Thank Lord Jesus, for you are the prince of peace. With you my life is in peace. I live in your Shalom.

In keeping with [the oath’s greater strength and force], Jesus has become the Guarantee of a better (stronger) agreement [a more excellent and more advantageous covenant]. Hebrews 7:22 AMP

If you lived on the same street as the past president of a country and there was always military presence on that street, how secure do you think the other inhabitants on the street would be? They would feel assured, knowing that their street is guarded 24/7. The prices of houses on that street would increase due to its secure environment.

Beloved, our Daddy God knew that the bulls and goats that were sacrificed every year could not take away the sins of man: no assured security. All it did was cover sins for just one year. He knew that for us to have security, a high price had to be paid. Jesus is not just the price for our security, He is our over payment. Jesus didn’t just die to take away your sins till the point of your salvation, He died to take away past, present and future sins. He didn’t just stop there: He gave you God’s righteousness,, a state of being before God as though you had never and will never sin. God sees you through all that Jesus has done on the Cross.

Some might raise red flags and think we are giving people the license to sin. But beloved, the more you become aware that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, the more you will be sinless. 1 Corinthians 15:34; “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” When you awake to this consciousness, sin will be far from you. You can’t stop sin or addiction by self effort, but by being more conscious that you have and are in Christ Jesus.

Prayer: I am conscious of what Christ has made me in Him: the righteousness of God. I live by His Grace. Thank you Daddy God. Amen.

Being “secure” in life guarantees wholeness, wellbeing and rest. For example; insurance companies help individuals with their pension schemes, thus ensuring their financial security after retirement is secure. And there are different kinds of insurance: health, house, vehicle etc. Whatever the terms are, once there is loss of the insured property, you can file in your claim and get your property back. You have a sense of safety and assurance that you would not suffer in the likely event of loss.

But these schemes have a price tag: your monthly, quarterly or yearly contributions uphold your part of the transaction. The same way beloved, the Word of God had to become like one of us in order to take our place. He paid our end of the bargain, which we would never had been able to pay. It required someone who had no trace of sin and no one was found, except the Son of God: tempted but sinless.

Not only did He pay the price and ransom, He also became our substitute. He struck a covenant with God on our behalf insuring us in this new covenant that can never be broken because, unlike the old covenant which was between man and God, this is between God and God. Now we are recipients of this covenant and therein is security. Beloved, you are secure in Christ forever and nothing can be able to separate you from the love of the Father. The redemption that we have is not temporary but eternal. Have a confident assurance that Christ lives forever as your high priest.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for I am secure in you. Christ in me is the Hope of Glory.

Before anyone can set his/her hope completely on grace, the mind has to be ready. Sometimes, our minds act contrary to the Spirit. It might want to go in a different direction, opposite to God’s way.

But thank God for His love. As believers, our minds are no longer the same as that of the natural man for we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2.16). And as we trust in Christ by grace, our minds are made ready.

And this hope is not fake or fruitless. This hope is set on grace, the giver of more than enough. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 1.9). But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. We are one with Him, we are in Him. Christ in us the hope of glory.

This hope makes not ashamed. Set your mind on this grace filled hope- you are healthy, you are wealthy, set free in God. And all this didn’t come not through you but through Christ who gives us ALL things freely.

Celebrate the Grace of God in you.

Sometimes we hear phrases like, “Are you prepared for the rapture? These questions are okay, but they often point to the ability of the individuals to prepare for this event. But from our passage, it is clearly stated that the level of individuals’ preparedness depends on whether their hope is set on grace or not.

Grace is the unmerited and undeserved favour of God; the qualification of the unqualified, when they set their heart and hope on grace. This truth is difficult for some to grasp. We became saved by grace through faith; justified by faith alone. When one’s hope is set on grace, that life will be propelled and directed by this grace.

Our actions are governed by the thoughts, imaginations and aspirations of our heart. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So when your heart is full of grace, your life will be gracious. The fruits of the Spirit will become evident in your life. Set you heart on grace beloved and watch your life transform from one level of glory to another.

Prayer: My Heart is set on Your grace Lord. Your Grace is all I need.

Grace starts the race and grace finishes the race. We become born again, through grace; ” for by grace are you saved, through faith” (Ephesians 2:. The journey as a believer, is continued through grace, not through self effort or self determination. Our heart and hope should be set on grace, for us to receive more grace. There is grace for your marriage, school, family, ministry, business, career etc.

There is also grace for the “apokalupsis” revelation of Christ Jesus, and this is what will give to us a new body; that when we see Him, we shall be exactly as He is. Many believers begin the journey of a godly life, by their own effort. They say things like, “I can’t allow God, do everything for me, I have to take responsibility to do things my own self”. It makes them sound serious and disciplined. But that’s not true. As a believer, we shouldn’t do anything in our own strength.

Philippians 4:13 says ” I am able to do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me”.

So, for us to accomplish great things, we must be connected to and allow Christ give us the ability needed. Apostle Paul understood this when he said, “I no longer live, it’s Christ that now lives through me”. So the accomplishments Paul had were fruits of Christ’s work in him. Allow Christ and His Grace work in and through you today.

Prayer: I completely yield, myself to Your working power my Lord and Saviour Jesus. I allow Your Grace live through me in Jesus Name

Getting our minds ready for action is also rendered as gird your loins or mind with the word of truth, ready to take action. The belt of truth is the word of God: Jesus said, “I am the Way, Truth and the Life”. So knowing and studying more about Jesus is knowing the truth i.e. the word of God.

What does the word say about you and that situation? The word says that you are an overcomer; that by the stripes of Jesus you were healed. Gird your mind with these words of truth and prepare for action. When you do this, you can set your hope perfectly on the favour of God. Whatever you are going through beloved, be assured that it’s not punishment from God. Having the right knowledge of the love of God equates to knowing the Truth.

You shall know the truth and the truth will make you free. If you are not aware that ALL your debt has been paid for 2000 years ago, you would continue to walk around feeling sorry and defeated. But, once you know this, you’ll walk in freedom and newness of life. Beloved, gird your mind with the truth: you are victorious, successful, healthy, you are wise, righteous, you are holy. God loves you so much.

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7

The focal scripture above has two dimensions: abiding in Christ and allowing His words abide in you. It’s not enough to abide in the word; some continue to confess the word only but never allow the word confessed, abide in them.

We allow the word to dwell in us when we believe it in our hearts. What are you asking God for? Is it healing or promotion? Allow His word of healing abide in you; “by His stripe you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). Are you feeling down? Allow His word in Jeremiah abide in you; “I know the thoughts that I think towards you the thoughts of good not of evil, to give you a hope and a future”.

Beloved, don’t just recite these words like memory verses or rhymes. You need to trust them, believe them in your heart because they are His thoughts towards you and they are truth. Jesus said in Matthew 15.11, it’s not what goes into a man but what comes out of him that defiles him. The same way, it’s what comes out of a man that would bless him. When you let His words dwell in you by believing, ask what you desire and it will be given to you.

Prayer: Thank You Lord, for I allow Your words abide in me by believing. I have all I need by Your Grace. Amen

Beloved, we all know God as our Creator, Lord and even Father. Believers usually seek to understand Him more as His children and want to know Him more, but there is a dimension of being known by God.

Paul in Galatians 4:9 said, “But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?”

Being aware that God knows us and that we are His beloved gives us the edge over the world. If He knows the number of the hair that fall off our head, how much more what we need as His children? This consciousness stops us from focusing on our self righteousness and works; we now rely on the righteousness bequeathed to us by Christ.

Being conscious of this empowers us to move ahead in God. It strengthens our inner man. Beloved, God knows you. Be conscious of His love and knowledge of you today.

Prayer: My heavenly Daddy, I am conscious of Your love today. I know You know me and because of this, I am free. I walk in the liberty of grace today in Jesus Name. Amen.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous. But the Lord delivers him out of them all. Ps 34:19

The focal scripture is referring to the believer. This does not refer to our self-righteousness but to that which Jesus provided for us by His death and resurrection. It’s purely unmerited. Some people might disqualify themselves from being righteous, because of the sins they still struggle with.

It is interesting to note that the word used for affliction in hebrew also mean natural or moral, evil or bad. You look at yourself and conclude that there is no way you can be delivered from all the evil or sins you’ve committed. But God promises that He will deliver you from all your sins by the power of His grace. There might be some who think that the idols their ancestors worshipped has brought a curse on them and some certain things need to be done for them to be delivered. And they’ve lived in the fear of this curse, even though now they are saved.

One thing you have to know and be assured of is that the package of salvation carries with it unmerited deliverance. When you were saved, you were not just saved from hell; you were also healed, delivered and set free. All you have to do is receive the benefits of what Jesus paid for by believing. Believe that you were forgiven, healed, delivered and set free. He that the son of man has set free, is free indeed. No need for unending deliverance sessions beloved.

Jesus paid it all. Receive it now and enjoy your liberty in Him.

Prayer: Thank You Lord Jesus for the price You paid for me on the cross. I receive the benefit of my unmerited deliverance. Amen

Beloved, you were created in righteousness when you became born again. Even though the believer might face afflictions, the Lord delivers him her OUT of them all. This shows that the Lord was/is with the righteous during afflictions.

Saints, we have this assurance: our daddy God is with us always. Though we walk through the valley of shadow of death, we fear no evil (affliction) for the Lord is with us (Psalm 23.4). I once asked someone, if God shows you two angels and you were told that they had been assigned to watch over you always, would your attitude change? We tend to believe more when we can see things physically. Blessed are those who have not yet seen but believe.

Beloved, believe that the Lord loves you so much,and He is willing and ready to deliver you from ALL your afflictions. And when it seems the affliction is persistent, be rest assured that your deliverance is already here. Hallelujah!

Prayer: I declare; “I am delivered from all my afflictions and troubles”. Thank You Daddy God for deliverance, in Jesus Name

Saints, the world today seems to be facing the greatest string of evil acts ever recorded in the history of man: killings, wars, tsunamis, floodings, earthquakes etc. Our saviour Jesus Christ told us these would happen. But He encouraged us not to fear because we are protected in Him. We are not helpless, our Father left us with a hope that cannot disappoint and also gave us the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5).

Beloved, there’s good news; the Lord has promised to deliver you from ALL (not just some) evil and afflictions. These afflictions also includes those that are self-inflicted, by wrong choices made in the past. The Lord loves us so much! You might have been told you will go childless due to previous abortions- the Lord has delivered you from that affliction.

Whatever the affliction is or might be, there’s deliverance by the blood of the Lamb and it also includes your household. Someone reading this, the Lord is delivering your family member from the bed of affliction. Rejoice! Hallelujah! You are free.

Prayer: Lord thank You for delivering me from all evil and trouble. I stand on Your grace, in Jesus Name.

Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. 1 John 3:21 NLT

Beloved, our Father delights in seeing us live freely and not in bondage: for we’ve not received the spirit of bondage wherein we should fear (Romans 8:15). When we feel guilty, it produces fear in us. But God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Saints, a sound mind is a mind that is conscious of God’s gift of forgiveness and non-imputation of sins. Why are you still feeling guilty? Jesus took away your sins with the penalty and wages that came with it. Now you are guiltless.

Jesus was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), balancing our accounts and absolving us of all guilt before God (Romans 4:25). Don’t allow the devil make you feel guilty. You’ve been acquitted and set free by the death of our Saviour – He that the Son of man has set free is free indeed (John 8:36). Stand on the finished work of Christ today and declare “I’m free indeed”.

Prayer: I declare that I am free indeed by the Blood of the Lamb; free of all accusations from the devil. I live life from the premise of my liberty in Christ, in Jesus Name.

Beloved we have a very precious gift in Christ: the forgiveness of sins.But many believers are yet to fully accept and receive this gift. Our Lord Jesus speaking about the gospel of grace through Paul said, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God,that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me” (Acts 26:18). Forgiveness of sins must be received as a gift by the believer.

Many believers can accept that they’ve been delivered from darkness to light but not all accept that they’ve been totally forgiven of ALL their sins. They live with guilt and condemnation still holding onto past grief. Jesus has paid the price in full for your sins. You don’t need to feel guilty any longer. Our hearts have been sprinkled from an evil conscience (Hebrews 10:22), i.e. hearts filled with guilt and condemnation; they have been sprinkled with the precious blood of Jesus.

Receive this gift today, beloved. There is something different about a believer that trusts and receives the gift of forgiveness and non-imputation of sins. He that is forgiven much loves much. You are forgiven.

Beloved, grace gives us the confidence to come before our Father without any sense of guilt or condemnation. The devil’s tool against the believer is to make him feel guilty about past doings. This guilt causes them to feel they haven’t been forgiven; that He still holds those sins against them. This can cause depression that could lead to irrational behaviour.

When you are conscious that God has forgiven your sins and wiped the slate clean forever, it gives us the confidence to come to the Father. Once a believer has the confidence to approach the throne of grace, his life is transformed from glory to glory. Sin no longer has a hold because he/she is under grace. The more righteousness conscious a believer is, the more he/she lives rightly.

Our Father does not want us living in guilt, beloved. Stop feeling guilty over that abortion, divorce or failure. It might have been your fault but it doesn’t matter now. God has wiped your slate clean; enjoy His forgiveness. He does not impute sin to the believer (Romans 4:. When our Father looks at you, all He sees is His workmanship created in righteousness. Stand on Jesus’ finished work today and cast out the guilt.

Prayer: Thank You my daddy God for the gift of non-imputation of sin. I live my life free from every guilt of the past, in Jesus Name.

Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. Psalm 23.6

Beloved, you will enjoy the presence of the good Shepherd in your life; from one level of grace to another. In John 1:16, “of His fullness have we received, grace heaped upon grace”. The effect of the good Shepherd in our life is everlasting. Imagine goodness, mercy and unfailing love, chasing after you, not only in the year 2014 but for the rest of your life. This happens when we allow the good Shepherd take over our lives.

Notice that you don’t chase goodness and mercy, they chase after and overtake you; when you follow the good Shepherd and allow Him lead you, they have no choice but to follow you. Saints, access the grace to follow the good Shepherd.

Beloved, even if you feel right now that goodness is not coming after you, don’t get worked up. Keep following the good Shepherd; because sooner than you expect, you will start experiencing the effects of His unfailing love, goodness, grace and mercy.

I prophesy that you will experience His goodness, mercy and unfailing love, in Jesus Name.

Prayer: Lord thank You for Your goodness, mercy and unfailing love over my life in 2014, in Jesus Name.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest (makest fat) my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Psalm 23.5

Beloved, God promised never to leave nor forsake us. He always keeps His words. He prepares a table for His sheep in the presence of “joy-stealers”: sickness, poverty e.t.c. The Shepherd is not afraid to feed His sheep, even if it means lighting a fire at night to find the best spot for them to graze in. The enemies can only look on in regret.

The good Shepherd fattens the sheep. He wants their good, providing ALL they need for life and godliness. As His beloved, we don’t just get enough; our good Shepherd gives us more than we can think, ask or imagine; according to His own ability (Ephesians 3.20). In His house, we never have enough containers for the blessings; finances, marital bliss, children etc.

Don’t focus on the unfavorable circumstances. Just enjoy the good Shepherd’s prepared feast, no sorrow is added. Bask in the ambience of His love. All has been made ready for your enjoyment.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for Your provision and guidance. I bask in the ambience of Your love and grace, in Jesus Name.

He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him--not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake. Psalm 23.3

Beloved, are you tired and weary, stressed on every side and things seem not to be working out? It’s time to let the Good Shepherd refresh and restore you. Quit trying to earn points; you cannot earn the kindness of the Good shepherd. Even when you were like sheep gone astray, He loved you first and died for you. Now all He requires is that you believe in Him, allowing times of refreshing.

Saints, not only would He refresh; He also leads in the paths of righteousness for His name sake, in the highway of holiness, a way that even fools cannot err in it (Isaiah 35:. This way is fool-proof. Beloved, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, not by your strength but by His grace.

His restoration cannot be earned, it is through His undeserved favour. Believe and watch the Shepherd restore and refresh your life. Would you trust His leading, beloved?

Prayer: My Good Shepherd, I believe Your grace would refresh my life. Thank You for leading me in the right path, in Jesus Name.

And I saw the holy city – the new Jerusalem – descending out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21.2

Believers haven’t come to realize who they are in Christ and what His finished work has done for them. Any relationship without security will lead to misbehaviour. When a wife is not secure in the love that the husband has for her, she will be depressed and feel condemned. Statistics has shown that women in such marriages end up confused and some become unfaithful, while others might opt out.

No wonder Paul by the revelation of Christ Jesus told husbands to love their wives as their own bodies (Ephesians 5:28). He linked this to Christ and the church. One of the reasons why believers act the way they do usually is because they are not secure in their relationship with the bridegroom. Even though Jesus gave us so many promises that reassure; He loves us with an everlasting love and will never leave nor forsake us.

Believers still think that their actions can either break or strengthen their relationship with Jesus. But while we were yet sinners Christ died for us; we never did anything to merit His love. The righteousness that we have now, we didn’t get by acting right. So why do we feel that whenever we do wrong, this gift of righteousness will be taken away from us?

Believers need to hear this: there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). When you read newer translations, the other part of “those who work not after the flesh, but after the Spirit” is missing because it’s not in the original greek manuscript. So beloved, if you are in Christ there is no condemnation. There are some who might read this and raise the red flag; they say this will lead believers to live licencious lives. But the truth is that the more you know you have been forgiven much, the more you’ll love your Bridegroom and your life will change from inside outwardly.

After sin came in to the world following man’s disobedience in the garden, God had a plan to bring him back into communion. God was not afraid to face man even though he had “missed the mark” i.e. sinned, but man could no longer behold God as he was now sin-conscious.

Jesus’ sacrifice removes the wall created by man, clothing us with righteousness. When saints hear that our Bridegroom is coming, fear grips their hearts. Beloved, God has adorned us with linen, He permitted us to wear it (Revelation 19..

When God put Adam to sleep, the original translation states; “God took a part of Adam’s side” not just a rib to make woman (Genesis 2.21). As a part of Jesus side broke open on the cross, the water and blood shed brought forth His bride: the church.

We are His flesh and blood on the earth. In Revelation 21. 9-11 the angel said, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!…The city possesses the glory of God…” We are clothed in His glory: His righteousness. So we need not fear as we join the Spirit saying, “Come!” (Revelation 22.17). He comes in love.

Prayer: Thank You Lord for clothing me with Your righteousness and glory. I am excited and ready for Your return Lord, in Jesus Name.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Hebrews 12:1-2 NLT

In the old testament, anointing could imparted from one prophet to another. Elijah was about to be taken up and his apprentice prophet, Elisha was aware like his other colleagues that the master was to be taken away. Elisha asked for double of the anointing on Elijah, but his master made a remarkable statement, “If you see me been taken up from you, then you will get your request.”

When the time came and Elijah was taken up, Elisha cried “My father! My Father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” (2 Kings 2:12 NLT). At that moment he believed that he got his request and he went on to do much more miracles than Elijah.

In the new covenant, this same model has been brought to us; the more we see Jesus in His glory and majesty, the more our lives are changed and requests granted. What are you going through today? See our saviour Jesus and have a revelation of Him in that situation. Are you or anyone in your family sick? See Jesus who is your healer. Are you without money? See Jesus, your supplier.

The more you see Jesus, the more the revelation you have of Him and this will change your life forever. We do the supernatural when we keep our eyes on Jesus. Peter is a perfect example: as long as he kept his focus on Jesus, he walked on water. But when he took off his gaze from Jesus he began to sink. Keep your eyes on Jesus who is the Champion of your faith.

Prayer: My gaze is fixed on You Jesus. My life is supernatural because I know who You are to me.
