When we keep looking at Jesus, our faith increases without us having to try to do so, with our own ability. We continually see His grace, unending love and goodness. And as He looks at us, all He sees is faith.

So, the only judge of faith is God, not man. The two individuals Jesus said had great faith, were gentiles. The centurion and the woman of canaan didn’t know much about the torah (the Old testament books), they didn’t know much about faith, but all they knew was the goodness of Jesus. So as they beheld Jesus and His grace, He saw their great faith.

Beloved, in James 2:26 where it was stated that, “faith without works is dead”; two examples were cited, that of Abraham and Rahab.

Abraham was declared righteous by God, years before he agreed to sacrifice Isaac. So, he wasn’t justified by God because of his action. You are justified by faith alone and not by works: your actions. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, who is the beginning and perfecter of your faith.

Prayer: Thank You daddy God; I am made righteous by faith. I look to Your Grace.

Right believing always produces right living. The more you believe in Jesus, the more you see your life change, from one level of glory to another. God intends that we conform to the image of His Son, by beholding the Son (Romans 8:29).

When we behold Jesus, the veil is removed from our faces. And as we continue to keep our eyes on Him, we are transformed (2 Corinthians 3:16-18). So beloved, beholding causes believing and your faith moves from one level to another. How do you see more of Jesus? By hearing more of the gospel (goodnews).

Paul said, For I’m not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation to anyone who believes. And there in is righteousness revealed from one level of believing to another (Romans 1:16-17). The only way a believer can live, is by focusing on Jesus; He alone starts and perfects faith. *To be continued*

Have you heard people use the phrase, “faith without works is dead” and you are told, it’s not enough to trust God: you’ll have to first rely on self effort, then God will help. Or, you walk half way and then, God will meet you half way. There is no scripture that has been as misunderstood as James 2:17-25.

So, believers enter into an unending cycle of labour, human effort and works. This ends in tiredness, weakness, sickness and disease. God has called us into His rest; the scripture states that those who have entered into God’s rest, have ceased from all their labour(Hebrew 4:10). Is the bible contradictory? No!

Later on, in this series, we’ll discuss more on “Faith without works is dead”.

Faith in greek is the word “pistis”, which means “belief”. The bible says that the just shall live by “faith” i.e. the just shall live by “believing”. And this is right believing (belief in Jesus). So beloved, when you believe rightly, you will live rightly. Believe in Jesus today.

Prayer: Lord, I cease from this unending cycle of labour of self effort. I enter into Your rest, by believing and trusting in Your unearned favour. Thank you Lord.

The disciples of Jesus were at sea, when He came walking on water. Fear got a hold of them as Jesus drew closer. Our sweet Saviour told them not to be afraid. Peter asked Jesus to bid him to come. As Peter stepped out from the boat, he began to walk on water. His focus and attention were on Jesus; he could do the supernatural, as long as his gaze was on Jesus.

But, when Peter considered the storm and how strong it was, he began to sink. He took his attention off Jesus and His enabling grace. His focus shifted to the challenges that were around.

Note that the wind had always been boisterous, before He told Jesus to tell him to come. But as long as Peter kept gazing on the Master, he did just fine, even in the midst of the storm.

What storm are you going through friend? You have to keep your eyes on Jesus, not on the situation; your answer is in Jesus.

Prayer: My answer is in You Lord. My vision is filled with only You and the righteousness You’ve made me.

The woman with the issue of blood for 12years, had her mind and heart made up, concerning Jesus. She might not have understood Faith, and all that it entails. And all she knew of Jesus, she heard about from people. Her focus was on Jesus, not on how to increase her faith for a miracle to occur.

She said, “If I can touch the hem of His garment, I know I will be made whole”. Her confidence wasn’t because she knew she had faith, but on the goodness of Jesus and His love for people; which she must have heard about or seen to have been shown to people, who were dejected and rejected like her.

As she moved a step forward into the crowd, she may have remembered a testimony. All she saw was Grace (Jesus) and thereby, got her healing. But when Jesus turned to look at her, He saw faith.

She had so filled her mind and heart with Jesus, that her faith was evident when He looked at her. Beloved, keep your focus and eyes on Jesus.

Prayer: Daddy God, I focus on Grace today; for I know as I keep filling my heart with Jesus, my faith becomes evident. Thank you Father.

The prayers of many believers is that their faith be increased, so they can believe God for great things. It’s been termed the “mountain moving and sea rolling faith”. Faith is been turned into works and self effort. Faith is important, but one is not required to seek or ask for faith. It’s like “leaving the substance, to go chase the shadows”.

Jesus is the initiator and beginning of faith; the perfecter of faith.

That means when one keeps focusing on Jesus, faith is increased and perfected by our Saviour. So why chase the product, when the manufacturer is your family? Jesus is the manufacturer of faith, just keep your eyes on Him.

Whatever you need faith for beloved, just go to Jesus and fix your gaze on Him. Take away all attention from your self effort and human labour; He will make all things to work together for your good.

Prayer: Daddy God, I look away from my labour. My eyes are focused on You, who makes all things work together, for my good.

Friends, let’s try and establish what the word “looking” in our text means. The greek word is “aphorao” i.e. “to consider attentively”. And if used as a verb, it means “to look away from one thing, in a bid to see another”.

There might be other things calling for our attention, friends. But there is only one place our attention and focus should be on, and that is Jesus.

That translates to being blinded to every other thing and seeing only Jesus. When you see Jesus, you see life. The name Jesus, in Hebrew, is translated “Yeshua”, meaning “salvation”. What do you need to be saved from, beloved? Is it from financial challenges, marital issues, problems at work etc? You have to keep your eyes focused on Jesus; in Him is the needed salvation, from that situation.

We usually try to look at Jesus but later, re-focus on the challenges. But that only brings fear, anxiety and worry. Your eyes should be fixed on Jesus, no matter what the challenge is. Do this by His grace; determine not to let your eyes leave Jesus, your salvation.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank You. You are my salvation.

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, Who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well-founded hope through [His] grace (unmerited favor) 2 Thessalonians 2:16

Beloved, as you begin this new year, you must have “good hope” (confident expectation of good). It is not based on how good you are, or your service to God, even though they are important; it is based on the goodness of someone else- our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father. It’s a well-founded hope.

When people hope, it’s usually based on who they know- the chairman of the board, uncle, father e.t.c. The truth is, if you can disappoint yourself, how much more other men? There is one who makes our hope well-founded and the whole responsibility of bringing it to pass rests on him.

In this new year, you will experience unmerited, unearned and undeserved favour of God. Beloved, what are you hoping for? When the world talks about hope, theirs is uncertain; it might or might not come to fruition. But the good hope (bible hope), is a confident expectation of good; it doesn’t disappoint (Romans 5:5). Beloved, have “good” hope, brought by Grace.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and giving me good hope, through Your grace, in Jesus Name.

God had always sought that man should be filled with the Spirit of Grace. Ezekiel was brought out by the Spirit of the Lord and placed in the midst of a valley, full of bones. These bones were very dry and many. Does it seem like everything is dry? The Spirit of Grace is right there, with you.

The first words that God told Ezekiel to say to the bones were, “Look, I am about to infuse breath into you and you will live”.

Breath here is the same word “rooach”- the first secure breadth. Even though this was done before flesh was put on the bones, God repeated this statement to emphasize its importance- He wants us to live and then, we would know that He is God.

Our Daddy God told Ezekiel that the bones represented the bones of Israel, the words they spoke. Are you thinking or saying negative words, like the house of Israel, “Our bones are dry..? (verse 13). God is telling you to speak His words of Grace into that situation, right now.

The Spirit of Grace leads you into rest. “I will place my breath in you and you will live; I will give you rest in your own land. Then you will know that I am the Lord – I have spoken and I will act, declares the Lord” (Ezekiel 37.14). In Grace, we cease from our works; we enter into His rest. God does the heavy lifting, just trust and rest in His Grace. Our Father is interested in seeing you live life to the fullest, beloved. Enjoy this life of Grace! Enjoy this new year! Happy New Year!

Prayer: My Daddy God, I have entered into your rest, through believing, and I’ve ceased from all my labour through your enabling power of grace. Amen

Being born again is simply being born of water and Spirit. When a believer is born again, they are given birth to by the water, which also signifies the word of God and the Spirit of grace. Many believers after being born out of the Spirit of grace, still rely on their own strength to work out the life of the Spirit in them. This life can only be lived to the fullest, when we allow the Spirit of grace lead us.

Those that are born of God, are led by the Spirit of Grace. The Spirit of grace, starts working out the will of the Father in us, when we let go of our self effort and lean on grace.

“The wind blows and no one knows where it’s coming from or where it is going, so is he who is born of the Spirit of Grace”.

When you allow the Spirit of grace lead you beloved, your life becomes a wonder to people. Everything works together for good for them that are led…

The Spirit of Grace works in the wavelength of peace; one clear indication of the leadership of Grace in your life, is the peace of God that passes human understanding. You might ask how do I allow the Spirit of Grace work in my life? It’s simply by casting all your cares on Jesus for He cares. Invite and receive His grace to help you in every area of your life, and watch how things begin to change for good.

Prayer: My Lord Jesus, I yield every area of my life to Your Spirit of Grace. Work our Your “work” in me, in Jesus Name.

Nicodemus came to our Saviour in John 3. He was a teacher of the law- a leader in fact. He had all the knowledge but still felt lacking. The law gives the know-how of the commandments but does not give the strength needed to keep them. He came by night, because he sought something; even he didn’t know what it was. Thank God for the Saviour’s love. He told Nicodemus the truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3.3).

Being born from above was later explained by Jesus in verse 5 as being born of water and Spirit. “Water and Spirit” is translated as one word in Greek which is “pneumatos” or “pneuma” meaning SPIRIT. In Hebrew, this same word is pronounced “rooach”.

Transliteration of this word, using meaning of the Jewish alphabets, it means first (r) secure (oo) breath (ach). The Spirit is our first secure breath (Genesis 2.7) and we can’t do without Him. Until we are born with this breath, we can’t see or enter into the kingdom; Zoe life of God.

And this breath is not a vapour. The number associated with the alphabet representing breath, is number 5. This is the number of grace! Grace leads us into this life and keeps us there. We need to continually, consciously acknowledge the grace of God.

We can do “No-Thing” without Grace. Trust in His Grace today.

Prayer: I totally depend on Your Grace Lord. I consciously walk in its suffiency. In Jesus name.

Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. Hebrews 12.24

The blood of Jesus has brought us into better promises, in the new covenant. “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (Hebrews 8.6).

His blood was shed to cleanse us; so that our sins would be forgiven (Matthew 26.28; Hebrews 9.22). We are saved and made just- in right standing with God through the blood. This is accessible by faith: believing in what Christ accomplished on the cross (Romans 3.24-26).

This gives us boldness to access the throne of God by the blood of Jesus : “let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water” (Hebrews 10.22) i.e. the blood of sprinkling removes guilt from our conscience.

This is my prayer for you: Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever (Hebrews 13.20-21).Amen.

Prayer: Lord thank you for your blood, that has cleansed me from every sin and guilt in Jesus Name.

The blood of a person constitutes the life force of the individual: for the life of all flesh is its blood (Leviticus 17.14). It’s the dynamic, always in motion and the state of the blood is equivalent to the state of the body. That is why God told Cain; the voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground (Genesis 4.10) even though Abel was dead.

Child of God, you were born into God’s house through the blood.

Hebrews 9.12: He used his own blood, not the blood of goats and bulls, for the sacrifice. He went into the most holy place and offered this sacrifice once and for all to free us forever.

Through His death, we were freed from the old covenant and are now under the new – grace (Hebrews 9.15).

Jesus said “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22.20). The new covenant was INSIDE the blood of Jesus and had to be shed. The shed blood speaks “Grace, Grace!” on our behalf.

Beloved, Jesus died and shed his blood once for all (Hebrews 9.28), so that we who are His by believing have also been made perfect once for all (Hebrews 10.10). Halleluyah!

We are now, in the present tense, the righteousness of God in Christ. Let joy fill your hearts.

Go on today and always in this confidence.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your unfailing and unending love towards me. I rest and function from the premise of your finished work in Jesus Name.

Beloved, grace is the only thing a believer needs for living. When some Christians go through tough times and they talk about it, they end with phrases like “it’s only the grace of God”. But what is inferred is that they have lost all but the grace. But, child of God, grace is everything.

Cain was one of the most cruel persons ever. He was jealous, bitter. He knew what to do but decided to do otherwise. He even killed his brother out of anger. God didn’t curse him; the earth was. And when he complained, God protected him (Gen 4.15). He didn’t even say he was sorry and he wasn’t under grace.

Under law, this wouldn’t have occurred. Hebrews 12.19-21: The ear-splitting words and soul-shaking message terrified them and they begged him to stop. When they heard the words—”If an animal touches the Mountain, it’s as good as dead”—they were afraid to move. Even Moses was terrified.

We are not those who live in fear of judgement. We are confident, boldly coming to Him, shouting Daddy, God!

You’ve come to Mount Zion, the city where the living God resides. It is the city where God is Judge, with judgments that made us just. You’ve come to Jesus…He is the Mediator of this covenant. The death of Jesus,…became a proclamation of grace.(Hebrews 12.22-24).

Acknowledge his grace today. Proclaim it.

Prayer: My Father, I am thankful that You judge me just. I acknowledge your grace today.

Beloved, sometimes symptoms in the natural seem to cause us to doubt the provision of God, through grace. Our experiences might be far from what the reality of His inheritance is. The reality that the believer lives by is that “our God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus”(Philippians 4:19). Beloved, when you continue to believe this word, it becomes evident physically.

“Blessed are those who have not yet seen but still believe”(John 20:29). Beloved believing in God and His word pleases Him. For without Faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Beloved, Jonah, in the belly of the fish, said “those that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy”(Jonah 2:. “Lying vanities” means lying symptoms- something false that appears to be real. That challenge in your finances, health, education, marriage, career, business or ministry are all lying vanities.

The reality is that God has provided for you, healed you and fixed all that is needed. All you need do is, trust and believe the message of grace, thus allowing God’s reality become yours, now and always.

Prayer: Declare ” I refuse to observe any lying situation around me. All I see Lord is your grace and mercy in Jesus Name”

Beloved, the grace of God not only enables or builds up, but it also gives. We’ve been blessed in Christ, with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Ephesians 1:3). It’s the message of Grace that translates what belongs to us in Heavenly places to the physical. Paul said, “By the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain”. In other words, the grace of God can be dormant in a believer’s life. Beloved, are you allowing grace work through you?

You might ask, how do I allow the message work through me? The grace of God is accessed by believing. For we are saved by grace through faith(believing) not of ourselves lest any man should boast, but it’s the gift of God (Ephesians 2:. What is done to a gift? It is received with thanksgiving. That’s what our daddy God wants from us. He is ready and willing to give us what is ours, as His dear children- all we need do is receive.

In the latter part of 1 Corinthians 15:10, Paul said; “But I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me”. He knew that everything that he had done was through the message of grace at work. Beloved, would you trust this message, solely, to give you an inheritance? Only grace can hand over that which belongs to you in Christ.*To be continued*

The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him Nahum 1:7

Beloved, have you paused lately to think about the goodness of God? The bible says, we should not forget all His benefits (Psalm 103:2). It’s time to recall all He has done for you- that you are still alive to this day. We get caught up in “now” and present needs, that we forget His deliverance, protection, guidance and lifting.

He is a good God, His love for us was not expressed in words alone. He gave up the most precious person to Him- His Son, for us.

1 John 3:1 says, “behold what manner of love the father has lavished on us”. His love is undeniable, inexhaustible, incomparable and perfect- the highest and purest form ever known to man and celestial beings.

We occasionally sing songs like, “Lord You are, more precious than silver, costly than gold”. But, do we really understand what we are saying? He truly worths more than anything we can think or imagine. Recall and recount all of the Lord’s benefit. Any past evil event or situation isn’t from God, for every good and perfect gift comes from Him.

Abide in His Love and Care and watch any present unfavourable situation begin to work for your good. Our Lord is good.

Prayer: My God and My Father, You are good. I do not forget all Your benefits. I am grateful for all You’ve done. Thank You for sending Jesus to me.

In the gospels, Jesus spoke of the new birth that would bring forth a new generation of individuals, people separate from the “world” system. A look at the first Adam before sin came, can give an insight to what God had and has in mind for us.

Genesis 2.7 states that God formed man. The word formed here is ‘yatsar’ and this is to make something by plan or design. We are not made by accident, God had a design in mind. He animated man with His breath of life. And in verse 9, He placed man in Eden; Eden means pleasure. He commanded that Adam should eat of all the trees, including the life-giving tree except that of knowledge of good and evil.

When Adam and Eve ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they could know both evil and good but the tree didn’t give them the ability to do right. But thank God for Jesus. His blood gave birth to us; we are here by design, God’s life is in us and our Father wants us to be on pleasure i.e. all-round wholeness.

And, we are not restored to the former state. No! We are in a covenant that speaks of grace- undeserved favour. We are a higher breed, seated in the heavenly places with Christ. We are born of God.

Prayer: My Daddy God I thank you for birthing me into pleasure and all round wholeness. My ability to do right comes from you alone not my self-effort.

Beloved, you’re not ordinary. You are a special being, carrying the ‘deity’ gene inside you. The same life that God has is in you, waiting to fully work through you.

Philippians 4:13 states “I can do all things through Christ who gives me the ability”. You are born into God’s family and do not need to rely on your own ability or strength, anymore.

You can access strength for life’s Journey; if you allow Christ work through you, by believing in His ability. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him (Philippians 2.13)”. You are no longer alone beloved, you have a big family now.

Go through the year 2014, with this consciousness: you carry the same ability and righteousness that God has. Beloved, we are aliens and a different specie. The world is waiting in anticipation, for the manifestation of those, who are born of God. Speak life into that situation right now, speak life, like God. Issue orders to that challenge to stop, you are a royal priest.

Prayer: Father, from now on, I walk in the consciousness of who You’ve made me and who I am now, in Jesus Name.

Beloved, you are born of God: begotten by Him. Translators, have painted a wrong picture of our relationship with God. We’ve been told that we are adopted by God, and all we have are the rights to the inheritance. But if we were adopted by God, that means we still have the same old nature and DNA working inside of us. Adoption can only clean you up on the outside, but cannot change your core elements on the inside.

1 Corinthians 5:17 says ” If any man be in Christ He is a new creation, behold old things are passed away and everything is brand new” For us to be brand new there was a birthing process that took place. Christ Jesus became the “firstborn” of many brethren; He came out as our Elder brother in this new nature that we have. We were crucified with Him, died with Him, and were resurrected with Him, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

The word translated in the new testament as “adoption” is the word “huiothesia” and it’s actually “Sonship in respect to God”. 1 John 3:9 “Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.” We are born of God into the family of the beloved, we have the nature and very essence that God has. The same righteousness that God has, is the same that we have, not less. And all this we never merited, it was given to us freely, through His Grace.

Beloved, being born of God, is not a cliché; it’s a statement of fact. It is the recreating of the human spirit, by that same power that raised Jesus up from the dead. It is a process that makes a believer have the same spiritual DNA that God has and the same essence that makes Him God. We are not just those who are washed by the blood of the Lamb, we also were given birth to by God.

We are born of the water (which is the word of God) and the Spirit, and this is where our service comes from, to God our Father, not from our bodies.

Jesus told the woman by the well, “The hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him” (John 8:23). Beloved, you are a spiritual being, that has a soul and lives in a body. We ought to trust the Spirit of God to lead us, through our spirits.

Gone are the days, when you’ve been told not to trust your spirit i.e. your heart. God has said “I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts” (Heb 8:10).

Reach out more to your spirit in service to God, rather than serving just outward. When we serve God in Spirit, it would reflect outwardly.

Prayer: Put your hand on your chest and declare ” My Daddy God, I worship you with my spirit”.

Being born again or a Christian, is not necessarily an outward change in. behaviour or pattern of doing things. It is an inward change of the heart and an experience, that’s known intuitively by the life that was changed. With time, that inward change begins to manifest in the character of that believer.

Ephesians 2:10 explains it further,”For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” We being created anew in Christ Jesus happened as a result of God’s unmerited, undeserved and unearned favour. That means we didn’t deserve it. But, He our Father, through His unfailing and undying love, brought us the new birth experience, by His Son.

The one who would work out the plan through us, is our source i.e. our Daddy God, but many believers try to work out this new birth experience by themselves. They struggle to earn what they’ve been given by God’s love gift. Beloved, if you want to enjoy all the benefits of the new birth, you have to allow the “master” work on the “masterpiece”, by believing in Him.

The believer has to come to an understanding, of who he is in Christ, and the privileges he enjoys from being in Him. What actually happens at the new birth? Are we just brought out of darkness and washed in the blood of the lamb? What really happens? This and many more questions, would be answered throughout this series.

For us to reign in life as believers, we have to understand who we really are, and this comes by knowing the Truth. The Truth we know, gives us liberty to function appropriately. Jesus told the religious Nicodemus, “marvel not that I say to you, that you must be born again” (John 3:7). Over the years, the meaning of being born again, has been watered down.

Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. Therefore, we need to be sure of the new birth experience. No wonder, the beloved John said in 1 John 5:13, “these things I write to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life”. The word “know” is the word “eido” to know by perception; a knowing from the inside, from within.*To be continued*

Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! Philippains 4:4

Beloved, have you ever felt joyous and thoughts flash through your head; why am I happy and full of Joy? What’s the occasion about? As a believer saved by grace, there is every reason to rejoice- and not just rejoice, but rejoice always. This joy is not ordinary, it carries strength and ability. We don’t rejoice in our bank accounts or our relationships, it says “rejoice in the Lord”.

The greek word for “rejoice” here is the word “Chairo”, which is a verb that derives its roots from “Charis” i.e. grace. So, the reason for rejoicing, is His grace- unmerited, undeserved and unearned favour. When you realize your present position couldn’t have been by your own strength or ability, joy should fill your heart. Even though where you are now in the physical, is not where you would want to be.

Beloved, this joy strengthens, it gives one the ability to move forward and achieve great things. Are you delighting yourself in the Lord? This is what you ought to do at all times- always and continually. Let the Joy of His grace fill your heart and mind. Think, meditate and act on this virtue and you will consistently accomplish greater things.

Prayer: My Daddy God, the joy of Your grace fills my heart. I delight myself in Your grace.

In the wilderness, water didn’t just flow, it gushed out from the rock. The same way God wants not only to allow grace flow in your life, He wants it to flow with great intensity. Before God told Moses to strike the rock in Exodus 17, the people contended with him and murmured. They turned their focus to Moses as their provider and source; they had forgotten how God led them through the Red sea and drowned the Egyptians and this unbelief later cost them a great deal.

Moses said to them, “Why do you contend with me? Why do you test the Lord?” So as they quarrelled with Moses, they were testing the Lord. Their actions questioned God’s presence, love and His faithfulness to the covenant which He made with their fathers. Remember that God brought them out of Egypt primarily because He remembered the covenant He made with Abraham.

In Hebrew 3:8-15, the reason why the children of Israel tested God was because of unbelief. Beloved, whatever you might be going through, be it in your marriage, business, career, studies, or ministry, receive the grace to believe the love and faithfulness of the Lord. He gave His word to bring you into the land of promise which now represents our rest in Him. When your heart is overwhelmed and you feel like doubting His love, remember that God gave you His best(Jesus). So how will He withhold the rest from you? Trust and believe God’s love and see His unmerited favour gush out of the Rock of our salvation.

Prayer: Lord I believe Your love for me. You gave me Your best and I’m persuaded that You will give me the rest, in Jesus Name.

In the New Testament realities, 1 Corinthians 10:4 states, “All drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ”. Irrespective of the place we find ourselves, whether in plenty or in the desert, we have to constantly drink from the Rock. The Rock is Jesus, and the more you drink, the more you experience great grace in every area of your life. The woman by the well drank from the Rock of ages and she was turned into a proclaimer of the Word. She ran into her village telling them about Jesus.

This woman was of no good repute; no wonder she came to the well at an odd hour when no one could see her, because of the shameful life she was living. But as soon as she drank from the Rock, her life changed. Has any issue caused you so much pain? The great Rock Jesus is ready to infuse His grace into that situation. You must be willing to receive the overflow of His grace by ASKING and BELIEVING. Romans 5:17 states, “Much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ”. So when you receive the overflow of grace and the free gift of righteousness, you are guaranteed to reign in this present life.

Some people are so quick to disqualify themselves from receiving from our Daddy God, saying, “I’m not good enough” or “my life is plagued with sin and the grace of God won’t stay”. Beloved, this grace has appeared to all men (Titus 2:11), meaning that everyone on earth qualifies for God’s unmerited favour. The only issue is, will they believe and receive it? Where sin abounds, God’s grace is in super abundance. So no matter where you find yourself, God’s grace is higher than that addiction or situation. Just receive God’s super abounding grace.

Prayer: Declare “Lord Jesus I receive Your abundance of grace into my heart. Thank You Lord, because I know that Your unmerited favour and power will turn my life around”. Amen

The desert or wilderness speaks of a dry place, where there is no provision, shelter or supply of water. In the desert everything around seem to be working against every means of survival: the sun is hottest there and the sand blinding. This was where the children of Israel had to pass through before they could get into their land. The first wilderness experience they had faced was when they left the land of captivity in Exodus 17:6 and the next time was when they had to pass through it on their way from exile in Babylon.

Just like the former wilderness deliverance, God was with the children of Israel through their journey. Even though they complained and murmured, He still provided water for them. Beloved, one thing you can be sure of: whatever you are going through, God has promised He will never leave you nor forsake you. Another important thing to note is that once you allow Him lead you through that wilderness experience, He will make water gush out of the rock.

Our focal scripture states that when God led them, they did not thirst. What type of wilderness are you in? Is it in your marriage, career, finances, studies or ministry? Whatever it is, our Daddy will never let you lack for provision. The land and its surroundings might look dry, but just hang on, believing on our beloved Papa God and see His provision in areas you least expected.Be rest assured that you are never alone.

Prayer: Thank You Daddy God for assuring me in Your word, that you are always with me in all circumstances. I receive Your grace to walk in this confidence. Amen.

Beloved, the tongue is a little member of the body, but it does great things. The tongue has the ability to change one’s destiny. James said ” A small rudder on a huge ship in the hands of a skilled captain sets a course in the face of the strongest winds. A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly anything—or destroy it!”(James 3:4-5 MSG).

Salvation comes to any man via his tongue: you confess with your mouth your belief in the Lord Jesus and voila!, you are saved(Romans 10:10). Speaking is key to obtaining salvation. The Word Salvation here in Greek is the word Soteria which is not just being born again, but it signifies deliverance, preservation, maintenance of peace and harmony, blessings, health etc.

So child of God, what are you confessing? Are you confessing blessings, deliverance, peace, health?? If you have not been confessing these, but rather negativity, it’s time to Press STOP on the negativity and PLAY on Salvation.

Prayer: Lord by your grace, I press STOP on every negativity in my life and I press PLAY on your salvation in Jesus Name.

Beloved, this life is governed by two realms: the negative and the positive, darkness and the Light. You can’t function in both realms at the same time; if you are in darkness, you can’t be in the Light. The positive world is not just positive thinking- it’s higher, because the ruler and King in this realm is our Papa God. The negative as well is governed by the accuser of the brethren-the devil. The interesting part is that you can be of the Light, but if you walk like those that are in darkness, you will reap the benefits of darkness and vice versa.

That’s why sometimes unbelievers get blessed and some believers seem to be going down. There is a principle called, “You shall have whatever you are saying”. This principle works both in darkness and light.

Thank God, we are not like those who perish or walk in darkness because of lack of knowledge (Psalm 82:5). Saints, you have to start saying what God has declared over your life. He has said you are the head and not the tail, that you are above only and not beneath. When the Holy Ghost came down, the first part of the body to receive the manifestation of the Spirit was the tongue. For God to work in your life, your tongue has to change. Start confessing God’s blessings over your life. STOP the negativity now.

Always remember that right believing, will also produce right living.

Prayer: Lord, I receive the needed grace to change any negative word I’ve been saying. I begin to declare Your blessings over my life, in Jesus Name.

To Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. Hebrews 12.24

When we get under the new covenant and allow it work through us, our lives become gracious. There is a difference between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. The works of the flesh is produced when we dwell on self effort and lean towards the law. The law in itself is good, but it has no power to change anyone. The duty of the law is to condemn you, when you don’t keep it. No one could keep the law, it revealed the weakness of man.

Even the best of those under the law like Moses, was terrified and he trembled at Mount Sinai. So no one can be justified by the law, only by grace. The children of israel boasted that they could keep all that the Lord commanded, but just at the foot of the mountain they made golden calves to worship. Our boasting should be in the Lord, not in our own self effort or ability.

Thank God for His grace. If the old was glorious, how much more the new? The glory of the old is fading away beloved, the old has been replaced by the new wine i.e. grace. Grace sets us at liberty, to live for Jesus. It’s time to stop all the struggle and labour; learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

Prayer: Lord from today, I’ve come to the end of myself. I ask that Your grace work in and through me, fulfilling Your desired purpose for my life in Jesus Name.
