FamilyRe: Concern As More Us-based Nigerians Murder Their Spouses by charles316: 12:10pm On Feb 04, 2015
aisha2:
For those who spent all yesterday on my case una well done.
My stand is simple, if God let you pass through some bad situations its so you can use your experience to help others going through the same thing.

I too have shared my personal life and my bad dating experiences here off course anyone can use it against me but I put it out there things personal to me I don't share.
Anyway the day I come here and start telling girls to endure bad relationships and manage that the man will change after marriage then everyone reserves the right to call me out. You go through a bad patch yet you have zero empathy for those in the same shoes constantly blaming those in the same situation, constantly turning the tables against people in the same shoes you walked.
I can't understand It. Anyway each to their own.

I understand the thousand mentions and insults sha because what the poster preaches suits our thoughts hence we will conveniently not see anything wrong and attack anyone who calls it out
You are incorrigible. It`s a pity that education cant make people like you better than the animals in the zoo. Stop bullying your fellow women here.

You dont argue like a lawyer. You need to some problem solving skills and logical approach to issues. I see the reason lawyers like you are badly paid. Not worth the hype.

Who are you telling " easy now"? I am not your child oh, you cannot determine my comment or response to any post madam. Find someone else to be condescending towards abeg, not me.
Woman, it seems that you have nothing meaningful to say on this thread. Why dont you go find something that will interest you instead of forming boss on nairaland. Madam feminist.

Maybe, maybe not. wink
there is just something in women. Its so easy for them to turn on their wickedness in some instances. (Please forgive me. I m not trying to bash women but to be as sincere as possible.) This practice is so common these days.

CAREFREEWANNABE,you are a woman and you can also do the same thing the woman did.

I would do my best to love the kids like my own and try my best to replace their mother the best way I can. I would not enter the relationship if I couldn't. Do they have no conscience?

Cococandy and SirShymex, I hate it so much when you both start exchanging words. I wish the two of you could just make up and put the past behind you. Please.
Why don't you ask Cococandy to stop stalking sirshymex? If she likes him,she should say so instead of this village way of showing your affection for someone. The guy doesn't give a f*+k about her, so why the constant stalking.

Like truckpusher said, divorce your husband and ask to marry sirshymex.

FamilyRe: Is It Compulsory For A Married Woman To Take On Her Husband's Surname? by charles316: 7:52pm On Dec 25, 2014
@ Cococandy

I guess Chimamanda is your role model. When you Got married few months ago,Why did you adopt your husband's name? Why did you not follow your role model s way of keeping her name? Why do you girls come to nairaland to show so much of toothless aggression.

Practice What you preach. Any mumu girl that listens to you toothless aggressors will be misguided.

With the increasing rate of divorce nowadays, it will soon become a norm for women to keep their surname. One less hassle after the divorce

Anyway depends on the couple......to each their own, don't judge others by your standards especially when u are not feeding them
With the increasing rate of divorce, a time will come When guys won't need to waste millions of naira on weddings. Afterall the marriage can end anytime.

FamilyRe: What Causes Delay In Marriages? by charles316: 11:41pm On Sep 27, 2014
Sophyrocks: Please be truthful. The bad stories are more than the good. maybe because bad news envelopes the good. Most of the good will not make so much noise about it. You could just see through them that their marriages are good. To widen your scope of info and to become more aware of your surroundings, try and read blogs more. blogs that report real life experiences of marriages. Go and visit a law court some day and be more attentive when some married people talk. Maybe you will be awakened from your coma. maybe because i am a lady and ladies are more open than men that is why i get to hear stories that touch.

If you still insist that few marriages have issues, then you must have been hiding under a cave away from civilisation and information. perhaps you have not been on planet earth and you suddenly dropped from the sky or you are just among those people who fantasize a lot even when there is world war 3.
World war? You liken this to a war? Chai.

Bad stories make better news than good stories. Instead of dwelling on the bad news, why don't you pray that yours will be a success? I pray you get what you want
FamilyRe: What Causes Delay In Marriages? by charles316: 11:17pm On Sep 27, 2014
Sophyrocks: Few marriages ke? With the high rate of divorce in law courts? with the too many sob stories of 'Had i known' around, even on nairaland and other blogs, you are telling me few? Wake up!! You are sleeping. Its women that are lamenting the most.
Point of correction, girls who can't get men to marry them that are desperate are running from one church to another and from one prophet to another. What planet are you from sef? Is it that you dnt know whats happening around you or
what? or have you been in Coma?
Lets just say that I've been in coma. I still stand by my earlier statement that few marriages have issues and those are marriages of people especially women who have no business with marriage. How come the ones with bad marriages tell u their stories and the ones with good marriages don't. Sophy, Please move with the right people.
FamilyRe: What Causes Delay In Marriages? by charles316: 11:00pm On Sep 27, 2014
Sophyrocks: Why are we so obsessed with marriage and yet marriages end up being disasters?
Few marriages end up in disasters. Focus on the good marriages and not on the bad ones. While some single women keep consoling themselves that marriage is bad, some girls are enjoying theirs. These days most girls who can't get men to marry them sing this wack song.

No woman can tell her husband that. They can dream and fantasy about it. Most women can't satisfy one man So how can they satisfy multiple partners?

Subom1: firstly I have a damn good job and make my own money so it's not about that. lol the man you are calling a miscreant is a qualified medical doctor so watch yourself. He is an educated, liberal and wonderful man and I could not ask for a better man. The fact that he has a lot going for him is jut a bonus.

What i can offer is better than what your miscreant aka boyfriend could. You think everyone is a lowlife like him?

Subom1: Honestly am sick of Nigerian men running us down. You men act like you are God's gift to women forgetting what a bad reputation you have built for yourselves.

I know a lot of non- Nigerian women who have dated Nigerian men and trust me they do not have anything good to say yet you don't see us going around bad mouthing you men.

Honestly there are much better men our there and dating NON-NIGERIAN men is not settling for less in my opinion.

Nigerian men don't have a lot to offer but stress.

Heck even Ghanaian men are better. You will never ever find them belittling their own women they way our men do.

Imo good riddance to bad rubbish.
Wh@t are u waiting for. These Ghanaian men dont need u. They ve got better women. Try Syrian men or iraqi men. Mtchew.

FamilyRe: Single Ladies: Let's Share Our Experiences Here by charles316: 9:58pm On Sep 18, 2014
nwapastor: One thing that surprised me about how I got engaged is that I had always thought that one must change somethings about oneself to be able to attract a spouse (which might still be true), but I didn't change a thing he just came and proposed and I was so surprised and taken aback. That is not to say that we should not upgrade our character, dressing, career e.t.c if need be but sometimes in the bit to upgrade we change so much that he might not recognize us when he meets us. So my friends sometimes it's better to just be yourself 'cos one man's poison is another man's meat. Did I mention that some people heard about the engagement and went to meet him giving him reasons why he should call it off but he told them that he has made his choice and I know that the God that started it will bring it to pass.
I hope it is not what i m thinking. Naija boys are too sharp for u girls
