*Anambra 2025: Fanning of Zoning by non-APC members, an aberration of the party's constitution and a recipe for failure - KSP*

The Knights of Sir Paul Chukwuma (KSP) has warned the detractors in APC championing zoning of the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to any particular senatorial district in Anambra ahead of the upcoming 2025 governorship election to desist from bringing in confusion into the party, warning that such unguided utterance won't be tolerated going forward.

*The Aguata-born Convener/State Coordinator of KSP, Hon. Ikedinobi J. Rapuluchukwu (Onyeozioma Oseburuwa)* made this remark while addressing the executives of the group during an expanded executive meeting comprising the state, zonal and local government coordinators of the group in Awka the state capital. The meeting was held to appraise the group's progress and to outline next lines of action.

The group maintained that APC as a party does not have zoning of governorship or presidential tickets originally enshrined in her constitution, stating that the party has always allowed every interested individual to contest freely for any elective post in APC and cautioned those creating the noise to stop forthwith if they truly care about the party.

The State Ladies Organiser of KSP, Hon. Lilian Okeke while speaking further, affirmed that there is nothing like zoning in the APC constitution, stating that those pushing such primitive narratives are not of the APC stock. She maintained that APC has never zoned any elective post to any particular zone since its inception, rather every interested individual has always been allowed to contest regardless of his or her zone.

The State Director of Re-Orientation, Hon. Chekwube Ezealor (Experience) in his reaction stated that competence and acceptance of an individual aspirant is the key determinant in this coming election and not one's political zone. He emphasised that APC as a party cannot afford to take chances with this 2025 gubernatorial race by limiting the governorship ticket of the party to any senatorial zone in Anambra State, and added that doing so is a recipe for failure for the party. According to him, this will be an added advantage to the All Progressive Grand Alliance that has abysmally governed Anambra in the last 18 years.

Comr Isaac Ukaigwe, the State Director of Mobilization, in his reaction expressed that anybody clamouring for Zoning is not ready to contest and as such that APC cannot afford to go for a weak candidate, he however maintained that Sir Paul Chukwuma remains the best option for APC come 2025 and is confident that true party faithfuls will do the needful and Sir Paul Chukwuma will fly the party's flag.

The Ekwusigo Local Government Coordinator of KSP, Mrs. Nkechi Okoli on her part noted that the APC has no choice but to maintain its practice of allowing every interested individual to contest for the party's governorship ticket and reiterated the position of the group that if APC wants to win the 2025 governorship election in Anambra State, Sir Paul Chukwuma remains the best candidate to field maintaining that he is a candidate to beat as she highlighted Onyechinazo's numerous good qualities.

Various speakers at the expanded exco meeting like Hon Obiora Monolu (Odu Umueri), Zonal Coordinator (North); Comr. Obinna Okoyeocha, Zonal Cordinator (South); Comr. Irene Nwabufo, Ladies Organiser (North) and Hon. Mmaju Ifeanyi on behalf of Anambra Central, affirmed their zones' readiness to take the message of Sir Paul Chukwuma to the nooks and crannies of the 326 wards in Anambra State while calling on the members of the All Progressives Congress to support Sir Paul Chukwuma who is a man that has made APC his home both in good times and in difficult times.

AWKA: Knights of Sir Paul Chukwuma (KSP), a political support group for the governorship ambition of the frontline Anambra APC governorship aspirant, Sir Paul Chukwuma has widened its support network following the inaugural meeting of the expanded executives of the group, which held in Awka on Monday.

The expanded meeting had in attendance political grassroots mobilizers, who serve as the Local Government Coordinators in their various Local Government Areas.

During the meeting, the State Coordinator of the group, Hon. Ikedinobi J Rapuluchukwu (Onyeozioma Oseburuwa) admonished the Local Government Coordinators to fully identify with and mobilise support for Sir Paul Chukwuma's governorship project. He underscored the need for proactive engagement at the grassroots level to garner widespread support for Sir Paul Chukwuma both from within and outside the APC.
