This simple 'How To do it yourself article' explains an interesting topic, how to convert your computer UPS into home Inverter. If you own a desktop computer, you may have a UPS that can power your computer for 10-15 minutes after power failure. The purpose of the UPS is to save your work and shutdown your computer properly to avoid potential data loss and hardware loss such as Hard disk of your computer. Most of us always underestimate the potential of the computer UPS that sits beside your computer. The average computer UPS can deliver around 600VA, which is enough to power your low power appliances such as fan, tube light, computer, television, etc. If you own more powerful UPS such as 1KVA you can power your home appliances more. So how much can my computer UPS provide? 600VA means the apparent power, but the real power is 60% of specified value. In other words it provides 60% of the VA rating. For example: If you have 600VA UPS then 600VA x 0.6 = 360W maximum output. If you have a 1KVA UPS then 1000VA x 0.6 = 600W maximum output. If my computer UPS can provide this much power, then why does computer UPS only power 10-15 min? This is because most of the computer UPS is only powered by 12V 7AH battery which is sitting inside the UPS. To increase its backup time we need to connect a higher AH battery. The purpose of this article is to make a cost effective home Inverter from a computer UPS. It works perfectly and I and a few friends have been using this for the past three years and still running...!!! |

No Light, No Fuel in Port Harcourt. I just bought petrol at N200/Litre in Port Harcourt...!!! |
University of Port Harcourt will reopen on Sunday 19 June and exams will commence on Monday 20 June according to the text message sent by the school administration to registered students: “Uniport reopens on Sunday, 19/6/16 and exams commences on 20/6/2016. Please inform others. It’s a decision taken by the governing council, the policy will be suspended and everyone will write exams while further negotiation is done. Visit ecampus.uniport.edu.ng for details. Thanks” Briefing of achievements thus far by the SUG President (Comrade Ephraim Inno-Anamaeje) to the Faculty Presidents Forum: 1. The no fees, no exams policy has been suspended till second semester when defaulters will be deregistered for the whole session. 2. Peculiar charge will be reviewed by the school management and negotiation will be done by the faculty deans and faculty leaders. 3. The hostels will be opened to students hopefully Wednesday 15th June, 2016. 4. Damages will be paid by students (amount known to him but not disclosed). 5. Installmental payment starts next session and the no fees no exam policy stands (next session). 6. Year 1 students who haven’t paid their fees should defer their admission. 7. No agreement with regards to reduction in fees. What’s on ground now is the signing of indemnity form and to be uploaded before Sunday. The SUG however wants the school governing council to revoke that because if students sign it, it would mean no more protests of any sort, whether the decision is unfavourable or not. http://trends.ng/university-port-harcourt-reopen-19-june-months-strike/ |

Democracy Day May 29th. 1 Year after, Nigerians are already shopping for PMB's replacement. |
Femich18:Yea, you just reminded me, tomorrow is the Naming Ceremony day we've all been waiting for...!!! |
PMB and the APC would drag the case even to the Supreme Court just to buy time. If the FHC passes a judgement that is unfavourable to PMB, they will head for the Court of Appeal and even to the Supreme Court. Before the Supreme Court will deliver judgement, 2 years may have gone but if speedy trial, PMB may resign before the Apex Court delivers ruling thereby handing over the ruins of government to Osibanjo. The nullification of that election would see the SP becoming the President for a period of three months thereafter, another presidential election will see PDP taking over government at the center |
The President who's English would have to be translated in English. Fellow Nigerians, our farty the A Fee Cee... |
The DSS should immediately lunch a man-hunt for whoever wrote this trash in the name of the President of the FRN. This is the height of insult to the injury...!!! |

History repeating itself.... Events that played out four years ago repeating itself today....!!! ABUJA-The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has denied knowledge of any court action filed against it and therefore insists that it cannot abide by a judicial pronouncement in a matter in it was not involved. This was contained in an e-mail sent to the press last night by the NLC Acting General Secretary Comrade Owei Lakemfa. The NLC scribe Comrade Owei Lakemfa therefore urged all workers and Nigerians to ignore what it described as rumours obviously referring to a ruling by the National Industrial Court (NIC) stopping Labour from proceeding with next Monday’s strike. According to the statement: “There are rumours circulating that the Jonathan administration has purchased a black market injunction possibly from the National Industrial Court (NIC). The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) is not aware of any such injunction; we were not served any paper of court appearance; we were not present in court nor were we represented in any capacity. Also, the NLC was not served any court summons nor were we served any court order.” The NLC scribe continued: “The cretins in the Jonathan administration imagine that by seeking to drag the judiciary in the mud, they can avert the general strikes, rallies and mass protests that will begin on Monday 9th January, 2012. They cannot make the simple analysis that the whole populace is angry and that Nigerians do not need any group to ask them to protest an evil policy that seeks to impoverish them.” He asked Nigerians to ignore this childish ploy and rumour adding there is no going back on next week’s protests and shutdown. He continued:”The issue of the strikes, protests against an obnoxious policy, is not an industrial relations one; it is not between an employer and an employee. Rather it is one between the Nigerian People versus the Jonathan Government.” “So if the issue was taken before the National Industrial Court, then it is the wrong place to shop for a black market injunction. To obtain an injunction from a court that has no competent jurisdiction is to try playing ping pong with the judiciary.“ He further stated that the constitutional and fundamental right of Nigerians to protest cannot be annulled. |

diegwu01:So what stops the President from also adding his voice? Is Kachikwu the President now? |
Wonder when Nigeria would have a charismatic President who would be in touch with the citizens and speak up without the wasteful protocols to even speak. Why can't PMB immediately convene a press conference to explain the need for the sudden removal of fuel subsidy? Just thinking aloud though...!!! |

'Perilous Times' This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 Timothy 3:1 This is not about PMB, not about APC or PDP, its prophecy being fulfilled right before our eyes...!!! We were warned ahead, we must be prepared for the times ahead. Many may fall out of faith or take offense at the gospel but this is the time to strenghten fellow Christians. Government and economic policies WILL CRUMBLE, make no mistakes about that. God never told us to trust in governmental policies. |
