FIRS are behaving like a Rascal Agency these days. They keep churning out insidious posts that hurt people sensibilities, then they will apologize and take it down. Then the next day they will look for another insensitive post to send and infuriate another person or persons.
People in their publicity and communication dept should be fired.

Car Talk / Re: Tell Us Your Car Fault Lets Assess And Fix Them by CharleyBright(m): 7:41pm On Apr 02
Good evening All,
Pls I need help with my 2004 Peugeut 406.
Recently, it doesn't accelerate enough especially when u switch gear from Gear 1 to 2 or 3.
Infact, on gear 3, it stalls as if I want it want to go off.
Worse still it struggles bad to climb small hills.
But if I switch off the engine for a few seconds and restart the car, it moves well and then starts same process of dragging after a few meters. And when you off engine and restart the car, it moves well for like 100 meters and drags when u change gear to 3.
Even if you press hard on the throttle, the car drags badly.
It is not fuel issue, cos there is enough fuel of over 20 litres in the car.

Pls I will be glad if I can get meaningful ideas as to the problem and solutions.
Thanks in advance.

Don't make me laugh, please😊.

Obviously, some of Nairaland moderators are politically biased, abnormally prejudiced and surreptitiously wicked.
And more annoying is the way some of them operate like colonial village guards that have been granted the privilege to admit people into the palace.

I would like to know the moderator that banned me in the politics section.
Let him show his ugly face.

You're enjoying a sectional ban bestowed on you by some irate moderator over your words and conducts. It has nothing to do with segregation.

Who is the Moderator in charge of Politics section
I dare him or her to tell me exactly why he banned me?
Quietly hiding to ban people is a low point.

Surreptitious cowards !!!

Fedup2024:
People of Nairaland. This maybe my last post here. I had to create this moniker in order to keep my identity. My view about this world especially this country is just that nobody loves you, you are on your own. In the meantime, I'm in a loads of debt currently owing people. I thought of this life not worth living anymore. I've read a lot and that made me freethinker. I don't believe in the concept of heaven and hell. To me, I think su!c!de is an option. What is essence of living a life without no solution. You aim but miss. You plan yet fail. Nothing works in this country and no one, no body is ready to assist you or even lend you a hand despite the fact I help people a lot even to my detriment. I discovered it doesn't worth it. I have nothing to fear again. I've passed my fear.

This life is not worth living anymore for me. I need a release.

My apologies to my parents and siblings for failing them.

Suicide is never a good option.
It is a narrow way cowards and selfish people take.
Many that went that road wish they never did as they breathe their last breathe.
Just as there's a new day, there's always better days ahead.
Hold on, tomorrow will be good.
Stay away from suicide.

Not all white women are rich. Ask Nigerian boys, running and dodging from child support when yawa gas, she will take you to court, you better stay loyal and humble till death or get enough money for child support and legal battles when she sees the next fun toy and divorce your ass. These women too expect the Nigerian man to work hard and support the family, it's not an holiday.

Most meaningful and honest comment on the thread so far.
Child support no be play. You default, you get your silly arse behind bars.

It is well.
I have never understood the unhealthy beef and dangerous rivalry between Yorubas and Ibos.
Pure raw hatred for each other is what they spew.
It has grown worse since the 2023 elections.
I dare say that a Yoruba man is safer in the East than an Ibo man is safe in the West. The Yorubas are to take much of the blame. Their Yoruba Ronu gospel only brew hatred against Ibos.

Sadly yorubas and Ibos that should be uniting to face their common enemy are so disunited and at each others throat to the advantage of their enemy.
Today's Yoruba and Ibo youths below 40yrs are brainless without vision of purpose.

Politics / Re: Why Peter Obi Should Not Run In 2027 by CharleyBright(m): 9:47am On Mar 29
gidgiddy:
Three Reasons Why I Will Advise Peter Obi Not To Run In 2027

I have known Peter Obi a long time, his village is just a stone's throw from mine. As a successful international businessman and billionaire, he returned from the UK in 2002 to aspire to be Governor of Anambra, which he did after a lengthy legal battle. Its not everything Obi did as Governor of Anambra that I'm happy with, but most Anambrarians will tell you he left the State much better than he met it. As 2027 approaches, no doubt Peter Obi will be under pressure to run again for President. If I were him, I won't run, for three reasons

1. 2027 has already been rigged. Let Obi learn from not just the last Presidential elections he ran in, but from subsequent elections in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa, where elections were rigged with impunity. The by-elections were even worse. The 2027 elections will be brazenly rigged, and Peter Obi will be told to "go to court". Obi should also remember that he will be running against an incumbent who believes in "grabbing power and running with it", and has state resources at his disposal. So Peter Obi should spare himself the trouble over elections that the results have already been written

2. Even if Peter Obi manages to navigate the treacherous waters of Nigerian politics and wins, his troubles will just be starting. Obi does not know the Nigeria he wants to be President of, he does not know that 'one Nigeria' does not exist, and that some people will always see him as nothing more than an Igbo man and Christian. Those people are going to going to use propaganda, deciet, lies, insecurity etc to sabotage his regime from day one. No matter how well intentioned Obi might be, every move he makes will be turned into an ethnic, religious or ideological issue. Those who cannot bear an Igbo man being President will come after his regime like a hurricane. The result is that Obi will spend 4 years there fighting, if he is not thrown out before then, and achieve nothing.

3. Obi once said that Nigeria is like a car with a knocked engine, he was right. No matter how good a driver may be, he won't get far in a car with a knocked engine. Has Obi ever heard of a 'good Nigerian President'? No such thing has ever existed, or will ever exist. The driver is only as good as the engine of the car. No Nigerian President can do well. We are too divided along ethnic, religious and ideological lines to build a progressive nation. Everyone only talks about who will be the driver, few care about the engine, yet expect the car to take them to heaven. Who is fooling who? Some people like me advocate that we forget the driver, the engine and the car, disembark, and go our seperate ways. Some say no

My advice to Obi is to forget this cursed office of President and focus on his philanthropy. Obi will touch more lives and help more people this way. Until a time when people start taking the engine far more seriously than they take who will be the driver, the office of President will destroy whoever goes in there, and Obi should stay away from it.

My 2 cents

Dream killers.
They don't have need to dream their dreams or make attempts to fulfill them if they dare dream. All their preoccupation is to kill other people's dreams.

Pls tell this goat to face his lane and not disturb another man trying to realize his drrams

I really wish he was given the Minister of Defence. He would have taken drastic measures to flush out these useless Fulani terrorists that Northerners are pampering and calling bandits.

Missing ko, lost ni.
The North are playing boju boju with Terrorism.
I simply don't understand how someone can move over 200 students and vanish into thin air without anyone noticing or resisting.
Did they come in convoy of vehicles or bikes?
How come nobody noticed when they were coming or when they were going to raise alarm?
The former president Buhari was simply protecting Terrorists brothers by insisting that they should be called bandits instead of Terrorists that they are.
Let them just keep that their Terrorism game in their backyards and not bring it southwards.

Paternity fraud is not a new trend with today's women, each time I see my friend and his kids I see the odd differences between his son and the rest of the kids... The boy doesn't look like his siblings or parents. Do I tell him to run a paternity check? Or I just mind my business?

What do you think? Suggestions and advice are welcomed, feel free to insult the OP if you can't help it. Thanks

Romance / Re: I Sent Her Out Of My House Late In The Night: Did I Do The Right Thing? by CharleyBright(m): 7:21pm On Mar 23
AyobamiOluwole:
So this girl has been coming to my place, eat the best food and all that. I've asked her if she has a boyfriend and she said no. I do give her money without asking her for anything on return because I could see she is not the lazy type and she is really hardworking. I am very much ok with finances and I see no issues with some of her demands.

Yesterday I called her and told her that I'm not happy and that I need cuddle only and not sex(I lost so much Dollars from futures trading that night). She later called and said she will come to my place for that reason. In my mind I was thinking this will go down as sex and all, but I don't really want sex.

All I just needed is someone to cuddle and get distracted with that's all. This is the only time I am demanding something from her.

So she came during the evening time, and later that night we went to supermarket and I got her something's to eat at home for the night. We got back home and everything was going well. We were both on the bed when I reminded her why she came. This is someone I've been doing quite a lot for without even thinking twice out of pity. She wouldn't give in and wouldn't let me know why she can't just allow me to cuddle her.

Mehn, from the loss I had earlier and all that, I got infuriated and called another girl telling to pls come over for the night. Then I told this girl to leave my house since she can be that selfish. I sent her out of my house around 10pm. She was telling me she doesn't have money to go home, I didn't care and I shut my door against her. Though I was scared letting her out on that road and that time of the night but my anger got the better part of me. It was later after getting over the whole thing I confirmed nothing happened to her from someone else.

Pls is there anything wrong with what I did?

Modified: Anger is a bad thing. I am wrong sending her away at that time of the night. This is probably the judgement I'll get 😔

You are a very wicked and selfish idiot.
And stop that crap of I didn't want sex, cos thats all you wanted.
But sending her out in the middle of the night even after she told u that she didn't have transport?
I feel like slapping that your silly face for you.
Sex starved cretin like you

China gbese na bad business. I will rather owe the US that will be diplomatic if I default than owe China that will deploy crude means to get back repayments.
China no be better people o.
That's why Chinese are having audacity to enter Nigerian communites and be doing illegal mining because they know Nigeria chop gbese.

Racoon:
What has addressing you with your rank caused you- demotes or elevates you? This is sheer display of arrogancy and inferiority complex. You can't be a gentleman office even among your subordinates. A course they taught them in the NDA.

Perhaps the officer should go to the battle field to enable BH terrorists help him assert the peeps rank he is bragging about. What nonsense! Discipline have really degenerated in the military.

Don't put your mouth in what I don't understand.
The Military have their rules and standards. You don't call your seniors in the army officer.
The civilians and the general public can call you officer, but you don't do that knowing the standard required of you.
