Peugeot once owned the Nigerian market. They became complacent and lost their market share to Toyota, Hyundai etc. they are now attempting to come back with cars that are not attractive and don’t have the reputation of the rugged 504 and 505s of old. Peugeot had been the ideal Nigerian cars for decades. The brand is known for Efficiency and Durability and also Stability. Though Toyota gradually took over Nigerian market due to influx of Tokumbo cars and recently Bolt using it, but Peugeot brands, 406, 307, 407, 301, 408 and recently 508 still have a good share of the market especially with the Arm Forces and Para Military.
Go to any rich man's home, you will see at least a Peugeot because the cars are dependable.
