Business / See What I Ordered For Online, And See What Was Delivered To Me. by CharleyBright(m): 5:13pm On May 29
Hello Everyone,
I order items regularly online, and today I was really pissed and felt scammed. I ordered for a HP Celeron Stream 14 Silver colored Laptop as they advertised. HP Stream 14 is a 14" Screen Laptop. And today the item was delivered. But behold, it was a HP Celeron Stream 11 ( 11" Screen) and black color that they sent.
They advertised 14" screen Silver colored Laptop and they are delivering a 11" Screen Black colored Laptop to me.
That is preposterous!!!
Am I not being scammed.
This is one of the disadvantages of ordering items online. Sellers feel they can just send whatever item they please irrespective of specifications they indicated online, then they expect buyers to just part with their monies for purchases below expectations.
Imagine delivering a 11" screen Laptop instead of a 14" screen that I ordered for as advertised.
I would have even managed the color if it was even 14" they delivered. But 11" screen is too small, and it is a NO, NO for me.

I am immediately returning it and requesting for my money returned.

DUBAI, May 20 (Reuters) - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister were killed in a helicopter crash in mountainous terrain and icy weather, an Iranian official said on Monday, after search teams located the wreckage in East Azerbaijan province.
"President Raisi, the foreign minister and all the passengers in the helicopter were killed in the crash," the senior Iranian official told Reuters, asking not to be named because of the sensitivity of the matter.

JuanDeDios:

I share your views. But if you were asked to take a guess, who would you say he wanted in his heart from the start? It certainly wasn't Ahmed Lastminute Lawan.

Buhari is clueless and thinks only of himself. I wouldn't want to waste my time to read to read his clueless mind to decipher who he wanted initially.
Yemi Osibanjo was the best candidate for the APC ticket. He was the best president Nigeria should have had. He was acceptable when he was acting president and would have united the country if he was president.
Buhari should have supported his candidacy and bid to get the APC ticket, but I think Buhari still selfishly wanted power to remain in the North.
If Yemi Osibanjo had won the APC ticket, Peter Obi would not have become an alternative that Nigerians turned to. Osibanjo would have defeated Atiku in an election.
Peter Obi became a choice because many Nigerians didn't fancy Atiku and Tinubu, so they chose Peter Obi as alternative to the two.
At party level, Tinubu won Osibanjo in the primaries because that was delegate voting where Tinubu threw dollars at corrupt delegates. In a real general election, Osibanjo will defeat Tinubu hands down.

For me, Buhari caused many mess Nigeria is in today.

Tinubu has made history as the worst civilian president to ever rule Nigeria.

Buhari intentionally supported Tinubu so Nigerians would see him as a saint.

Bad leaders always support worse successors.

Buhari didn't want Tinubu.
He was the brain behind Ahmed Lawan candidacy at last minute to Garner Northern support when it was obvious El Rufai and co won't back down on supporting Tinubu.
Initially he refused to be attending Tinubu election campaigns even though his wife was. It was when people started to tongue lash him that he was being an ingrate after Tinubu supported him to win election two times that he reluctantly started attending . In his heart Buhari didn't want Tinubu.

This vile thief called Sirika is one of the worst of the corrupt stooges that surrounded Buhari. He is only next to Mallami in looting. Imagine, Father = thief, Daughter = Thief , brother = thief. Families are thieving looters.

For me, If Emefiele was held in custody for looting and other vices, I see no reason why Mallami, Hadi Sirika and Sadiya Umar and even Buhari himself shouldn't spend time in Kuje Prison.
Hadi Sirika conned the country with a Fake Air Nigeria carrier on two occasions. It is either that Buhari was the most useless and clueless president Nigeria ever had or he deliberately turned blind eyes to the looting. Same thing was Mallami and Sadiya Umar were doing looting funds under the watch of Buhari.
I don't want to even mention Buhari immediate family members looting and his cronies.
It was a clear case of Buhari and the 40 thieves fleecing the country.
Nothing will gladden my heart to see a Military takeover that will try all these politicians that looted this country and jail them.
May God never forgive Buhari wherever he is for his deliberate act of allowing his families and cronies to loot the country dry.

So today the lawyer in charge of the property I stay in brought a notice to quit for us. Our rent is due November 31st and in the quit notice, it states we must leave that same date.

Please I want to ask is this what the law states ? Because he claims we now have 6 months notice to vacate the apartment even as our rent will be due in November...

This is a very sudden one for me

My brother, the landlord is fair and has done the right thing to give u 6 months notice as the law requires. You don't lose and he doesn't lose.
You have enough time to look for another house to move out.
If you are demanding he gives you 6 months after your rent expires, are you going to pay for the extra 6 months or you want to stay free so that he loses??

The matter was in court, the court passed judgement which was appropriate.
Due to events, you still went to court and d matter is awaiting court verdict at stipulated date.
The Court still has the final say.
No advise from Nairaland can change it.
To tell you the truth, the court will not pass judgement in your favour and allow you to take the child from the mother because the baby is still at tender age.
Worse case scenario will be the court to pass judgement that the child be handed over to Social Welfare Dept if the mother of the child is adjudged to be incapable of keeping the child.
Both ways, you lose !!!

Nigeria

3. DSTV Compact 15,700 naira ($11.21)

DSTV in Zimbabwe and many African countries is pay as you watch. And yet Nigeria is the biggest market for DSTV. They are using Nigeria to make up for loses in other countries.

Tinubu lo kan.
Anyone that think Tinubu doesn't intend to recoup the millions of dollars he threw in the elections, is out of his/her mind.

By the time Tinubu finishes 4 yrs tenure, (even if Nigerians doesn't give him 2nd term), he would have laid enough underground pipelines through which Nigeria's revenue will be syphooned into his family pocket like he did in Lagos state.
My worry is the way his very dangerously ambitious son - Seyi Tinubu is hovering around the seat of power like a vulture will make the even more deep.
Emi lo kan is far from Awa lo kan.
But am happy that the Emi lokan supporters were the first to compose and sing the Ebi kpa wa sound track.

This Farook just write for writing sake.

The government never claimed the wage adjustment is their minimum wage so how does that relate to minimum wage?

Minimum wage will still take effect just that truly the government have dragged feet too much. They should have implemented it by now instead of wasting time this much.

Also, this Naira floating and subsidy removal is taking a huge toll on Nigerians but I kinda like that it was done. For the past decades, economics have been blabbering and abusing all government that “float the naira” , remove fuel subsidy and automatically Nigeria become America.

Now that we have done it, people have seen that Nigerians are not well enough to carry the burden themselves. FG must understand that if within the first 2 years, things don’t calm down to a bearable level, people might not be able to continue to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Did you actually hear yourself?

N615,000 minimum wage is not feasible.
Labour unions are being selfish.
What happens to all other people that are not civil servant and won't be paid N615k? No be same market everyone go buy from? The civil servants will have much more to spend, while the the pepper seller and vulcanizer man on the streets have less to spend.
When FG removed fuel subsidy, didn't it affect everyone , so why would labour unions be demanding for 615k for workers alone?.
What about the inflationary effects on the economy?
Best the FG should do is double present minimum wage of 30k and make it 60k. Any worker that don't want it should resign and go home.
