Joe Igbokwe has a point. I actually admire (note I did not say 'like', I 'admire' them) Yorubas. They are very intelligent and strategic. Their culture is far more flexible and resilient than any in the country. And, I see nothing wrong in emulating what is good about them and discarding the rubbish part. I believe if Igbos can unite and be as strategic, we will dominate EVERY SINGLE SECTOR in this country. This is our achilles heels. The greater Igbo nation has two major goals to achieve before the actualization of Biafra:

1. Elect an Igbo President in 2023

2. Work with the greater South to Restructure Nigeria.

After this, the actualization of Biafra will be a walk in the park.

NB: I have also noticed that some Igbo parents teach their children from an early age to despise Yorubas. This is a counter-productive strategy because either we like it or not, we need each other in this complex Nigerian environment. I thank God my parents did not t
each me hate. I am 100 % Biafran but I do not believe HATE is a requirement to be a Biafran or to achieve Biafra. Biafra when it is realized will be the shinning light on the hill. And hate will not take us there. Only strategic thinking and planning; and making deals with people we disagree with will take us there.

THE REASON WHY PEOPLE ALWAYS HAVE ISSUES WITH TITHE IS SIMPLE:
the kingdom of hell want to keep keeping them in pure poverty.



“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin [that is, various herbs], and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others [tithes] undone” (Matthew 23:23; compare Luke 11:42, emphasis added throughout).

Here, only days before His death by crucifixion, Christ plainly confirmed that tithing should be practiced, along with spiritual adherence to the “weightier” matters that the scribes and Pharisees were obviously neglecting.


The new covenant settles this in the letter to the Hebrews.
The tithing started with Melchizedek who is a picture of Jesus as the High Priest:

“Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils. And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham; but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.” (Hebr 7.1-10)

This means that the tithe is given to Him who lives. And the Church is Jesus’ body in this world; it is God’s temple. That is why offerings of money were placed “at the feet of the apostles”. The offerings of money were distributed by the leadership in the Church. This enlightens the purpose of tithing. The tithes shall bring “food into the house of God”. “Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.” (1.Cor 9.14).

This means that the tithe is given to Him who lives. And the Church is Jesus’ body in this world; it is God’s temple.

The tithe is for us today, just as it was for Abraham 430 years before the law. But do not mix it with the tithing under the law, where they were tithing to avoid being cursed. We are free and we tithe because we ARE blessed and we WANT to sow into His kingdom. As we sow the seed we have received from Him, we can trust that we will receive a blessed harvest which enables us to sow even more.
