I don't know how you can share a biased piece and still ask people to read it without being biased.

Yes without being biased, simply means come up with a more logical aguement that can efficiently counter what had been presented by the historian, it's as simple as that

FreeStuffsNG:

You say one lie, you need more lies. See how you are disgracing yourselves as cheats and covetous people.

The current Oonirisa already predicted it that your pride will end in disgrace. It happened. See very hard hash words being used for the Oba of Benin and he is even on the verge of witnessing his small benin being balkanized.

Nobody takes you serious with all your lies. Like Asari asked you with sarcasm " did you pack the land from Benin on your head and brought it to Yorubaland?" No. Do you even have access to the oceans? No.

You kept recycling the lies that the Oba of Benin doesn't leave the palace for long until internet era exposed your lies then you started revising same lie after you have been exposed as liars. Your generation will go down as the one who made the Bini people outsiders in Yorubaland. It started on Sunday when the Oba of Benin came to Yorubaland to receive tutorials on Yoruba history. That's your pride that demoted the bini in Yorubaland.
Nobody cares anymore. Your lies are obnoxious.

If Asari Dokubo is your heroe I deeply weep for you People like you and your heroes have nothing to spread other than insults and hatred. From his views I am very sure Asari had never picked up history books to read not to talk of him reading the Quoran. The first thing you need to ask your Asari is, how was it possible for him to become an alhaji? a Kalabari chief.... And if that was possible for him then he should have picked different history books before coming to the internet to give opinions that can be compared to a toddler or better still an illiterate

Iykenuwa:
The Aworis themselves are Benin originally,

How come no Yoruba can state where the Awori are from, except to say they came from the Palace of Ife after Oduduwa's death?

They came to Ife with Oduduwa and left after Oduduwa's death, because they don't belong to Ife.

Oduduwa himself was from Benin, and when Benin wanted him to return to Benin because his father was dead, he refused and sent his son Oramiyan instead.

Benin already had several Ogisos before Oduduwa landed in Ife.

Why would Benin with a long history of Monarchy go to Ife to request their King to com to Benin of they had no link with that king?

It's simply because that king, Oduduwa is their son.

You eople should scream all you want, we will keep drumming the truth into your ears.

I HOPE FFK is on Nairaland.

Tell them, school them about proper history, one thing is certain... History may be distorted but you can't erase history.
NAIWU OSAHON had already put the arguments on CONTROVERSY' OF ODUDUWA to rest.

Everyone knows Bini were from Ile -ife, the way they are turning the hands of clock backward by claiming all south were once under Bini empire is worrisome.

You know nothing about history. You need to read different versions of the history presented by different writers, professors, historians and other archeological findings. It will help to give you a logical view

In the 16th century, the Awori settlement was conquered by the Benin Empire and the island became a Benin war-camp called “Eko” under Oba Orhogba, the Oba of Benin at the time. Eko is still the native name for Lagos.

The ancient tombs. All the Obas of Lagos before Oba Akitoye are buried in Benin City. Oba Akitoye was the first Oba of Lagos to be buried within the modern palace.

Politics / Re: Eko Founders’ Controversy: Academics, Olota, Lagos Chief Tackle Oba Of Benin by charsoso: 10:17pm On Nov 29, 2023
KingKO22:
Ordinarily, when you take a look at Lagos, it is surrounded by Yoruba land from Egba, Awori to Ijebu and Sagamu

So the Binin kingdom jumped all the entire Yoruba land from Ore, to Ijebu and Sagamu and found a place in another man's kingdom

The fact that you settle in a place doesn't make you the owner.

This history mainly pointing to the fact that Edo kingdom are from Yoruba land.
The names of their founder Kings are Yoruba names

The Binis got to Lagos (Lagos Island) via the sea. And according to history it a was argely an uninhabited island, they settled and later named it EKO which translates to war-camp in Benin language. And during that period there was no bridge and therefore Lagos island was disconnected or perhaps isolated from the mainland where the Aworis were said to be predominant

Little does Jaruma the sex afrodisac seller know that Tinubu hates all Northerners and will likely deal with them just as he did to them with OPC in 1999 wink cheesy

It's a big lie because I lived very close to the Hausa community in Idi araba, and also not far from where OPC as an organisation was formed it's called OLUSOGA street in Mushin. I witnessed all that happened during that period. So I'm not talking as a commentator but a witness. Infact it was the visit of Tinubu to the scenes that stopped the violence.

With Atiki clinching the PDP ticket.

The Onus is on APC to do the right thing to remain in power.

Which of the northern APC aspirants have the enough capacity to sweep the south west votes, also able to send his foot soldiers to negotiate and canvas for some votes in the south east? Tinubu already has majority of the power brokers in the north on his side. Believe it or not like it or hate it, Tinubu represents in Southwest politically what Buhari represents in the north, and that's an edge money can't buy. If APC are politically wise they should stick to Tinubu....and i perhaps believe Atiku himself would rather want to square up against any other opponent except Tinubu
