What an experience. You're JW?
Eulalia:
Mine was I went to the ATM without a nose mask. While I was going I saw a woman hawking some nose mask and the way some men that stopped her were checking and touching it was just irritating. so I just walked past, minding my biz even though I felt like telling them it was wrong.

I got to the ATM and the security didn't let me in, insisting I wore a nose mask. Dang! I tot of the long journey back home. Just as I was still standing confused, a guy inside the bank premises just turned back and looked at me, lo an behold it was a bro that hardly talks to people in church but then he smiled and we exchanged greetings. And so he came out from the queue (he was actually waiting on the queue for another bro) to meet me and was like "sister what happened"?. I explained my plight and as he was about asking the security man if there's anywhere around one can get a nose mask, the woman I saw earlier on just emerged. So he got one for me. And with the help of the other bro already at the ATM point, he pressed some sanitizer unto the mask (due to previous touching by those men earlier. Though I picked from the middle) from the dispenser close to the machine. I let it air dry before putting it on.

Men it would been a fultile journey that day but for the bros. grin.

Wow! I am so happy to read the part that says he escaped death. God is great and good in all circumstances.

You see, the day it dawn on me that we have lost our humanity and our enviable communal qualities, was the day I went to the Mall and somehow, my car battery got drained. Started looking for JumpStart cable after someone gave me his car to use...finally met a cab guy, he said he was going to collect #1,000 to use the cable for less than 2min! This dude later collected #500. I just shake my head and concluded that we have lost it!

I don't pity people when bad things happen to them or they lack help. These things has a way of coming back to haunt.
The world is doomed, bro. People are now lovers of themselves and money!

Crime › Re: Share Sad Experiences Of How You Were Betrayed! by chatinent(op):
My experience:
I was a Course Rep of my department. The other C.R was ousted due to his vile and greedy lifestyle. Let's call him Judas.
.
So Judas was a guy who I took as my brother and who I assisted academically (all courses). God had always shone grace on me and made me merit butterfly colours of grading; I made the best student in my department, and best student in faculty. I always took my studies very serious. Unbeknownst to me, this guy envied me to his marrow.
.
While this guy was course rep., anyone he had issues with, he used those biases against the person, backbitting them to lecturers.
.
Before I became course rep., I noticed this envy and started being careful with how I paid for handouts (I always reported myself to lecturers that I have paid).
.
Unknowingly to this guy that I still speak directly to lecturers, he threatened to give me carry-overs in his hostel for a reason I know not. Perhaps, envy. Sure, I heard the proclamation and tightened my seat belt.
.
Mehn, that was my finals. Evil as Judas could be, he had already given some folks C.Os the previous semester (almost half and quarter of the class by not acknowledging they paid for handouts). This was the main reason he was ousted.
.
Judas knew I was good and a lecturer failing me in his course couldn't be easy so he went telling them I was the one discouraging others from buying their materials. It came as a shocker to me. Well, I had a shock-absorber; I had already told the lecturers what he said and had against me so his sing-songs were noticed as hate.
.
Judas came and apologized to me as he saw the lecturer part couldn't work. The clown thought I was stupid and my guard was down so he'd have a better vantage over me when I'd be vulnerable. He went forming allies with our juniors and some stupid persons searching for people's matters to personalize.
.
The end result? It back-fired. The whole departments got to know who he truly was: JUDAS LUCIFER.
.
What about me? I had a happily-ever-after end. Wasn't it written that there are more with us than against us? Smiles.
.

I was downtrodden that sb I helped could do such. Well, I still passed with the normal thing; best student of department still topping the class!!!!! Dude didn't carry-over but he made many enemies.
.
So folks, there were other betrayals but it made me stronger. I really don't make friends even till date. I don't harbour resentments. I forgive freely, but don't forget the lesson it taught me.

"There is a friend sticking closer than a brother," says the Holy Book. True. But it really hurts when such persons as these sorts of persons quoted above betray us; people you never expected it to come from!
.
Personally, from my experiences with people I believed were real friends, I made a resolve not to have friends so as not to get heart attacks. I prefer receiving hiccups from random persons... I know could always come, anyways.

I cannot forget in a hurry my gray experience. Years back, my dad had a fatal accident -- a scenario where a tiper truck ran him over, literally climbing and smashing his then Peagout 404 to nothing and he was in the driver's seat. While looking to save his life, some Lagos robbers still came to a dying man and robbed us all valuables (phones and otherwise) and left. We felt we had lost him but he escaped death by hair's breath. Many reasons I don't feel remorse for these thieves when they are brought to 'jungle' book.

It gives no one joy of being robbed off a hard-earned valuable (no matter how small). However, we live in critical times hard to deal with and these social ills are inevitable. Have you witnessed a robbery? Was it you who was attacked? Did it cause a trauma? Perhaps a memory not to be forgotten soon! Share your Oh My God! robbery experiences.

So that was how I accidentally forgot my face mask at home and went to get fuel in the junction. Nna eh, na so I see people dey run, I just stood there looking for any possible reason to cling to and run myself. Truth was I no hold shingba that day, not that I was broke; I was in pieces.
.
O boy see black maria everywhere picking people on gunpoint for not wearing face masks (with soldiers koboko-ing gullible ones too). I was later told that people caught would be frustrated and pay big (that day was weekend) so they wouldn't want to sleep in cell till workday.
.
I remembered I wasn't with any. Chai, worst was I went to buy 50 litres of fuel in a very porshe dressing. Cute guy me. Na that day I know say fifty litres of fuel and water no be the same.
.
I carry gallon run till the sweat wey comot for my body don soak my shoe, come dey comot footprint.

Las las, I reach bush path. You know the rest. In fact, plenty people just enter that bush path. I never knew bush could be quite adventurous to locate my house. Wetin weak me pass na say I go match person poo for bush covered with akwukwo ede. Such a black day for me.

Properties › Re: Molding Or Buying Blocks. Which Is Better? by chatinent(op): 7:37am On Jun 20, 2020
frozen70:
I will suggest the followings based on experience

But blocks don't mould blocks, you can't stand their wahala because you don't have all the time

Before foundation, settle the people responsible for foundation and its possible there will be refreshments on that day

The boys working for you will keep making demands for water, ask one of them to get a bag if cold water for them

If you have some one handling the job, be on ground to watch what they are doing

If you want cement, get a near by cement store to buy your cement and be there when it will be delivered and use

If you are nit clever enough, they will do you the more you see the less you understand

Just get like 5/10 bags of cement, depending on what they need it for

Don't dig a bore hole yet because once you go home, those vagabonds will steal your pumping machine

Negotiate with the nearest house if the have water so that you can get water supply

Be friendly with the neighbours around because they are the one staying there before you and they will also advise you

When you need materials, ask your engineer the best products, buy them yourself and let him charge you for workmanship

Don't be hard on them and don't be too soft on them

The best time for build especially laying blocks and plastering is from September till March

Lastly, if it will cost you 200k yo do anything, add extra 50k because prices changes without notice
You are a good planner. Are you married yet?
