I don't want to convince you o, but considering your age for visit visa , do you think your brother statement will be fine to sponsor you. If its study visa now better but hmm your brother want to sponsor you for a visit visa? He can not put some money in your account and you become a staff with a document that back it up, like working in the same company as a second job or you know what im saying. then u dont need him to sponsor.

It is possible but highly not advisable. Chances of a successful change of status from B1/B2 to F-1 is very unlikely.

You'd need to defend why you did not seek student visa in your home country and why it's important for you to switch from a tourist to a student, meaning your intentions have changed. You'll need to explain why your intentions changed from being a tourist to being a student!

Lest I forget, you cannot apply for change of status to student within 90 days of entry

I can not remember very well, when filling application they do ask for country you visited in 5 or 10yrs . You should be able to add that during application.

Yes you can use the same ircc if you able to log on . Either new ircc account or the previous one, your name and passport number and biometric will come up for your new application. They have the records.

Oh now that you explained it to me, I now understand that the 90day rule is for visitors. Before changing of status.

I didnt use a visa entering usa though, but i am thinking of getting one, lets say for study, so I am asking if that interview will be easier for someone that has visited usa before. lol

I would like to take a IT course in English. My q is, if I can get a 8-1yr course I can try visa you know for study/go for a training course.

I need a school that offers that kinda course I have searched search they only offer online IT courses. I want the Onsite lol

The little idea i have about this is that there is a "90 day rule". You are not to contact your school within the first 3 months of visit to the USA of your intention to study otherwise USCIS will take it that you had a pre-conceived intent of going to the USA to study and not for visit. After your 90 days stay, you can reach out to your school of interest of your intention to change your status to F1 and apply to the school.

An officer in the school should be able to guide you on the required forms to fill, payment to be made and necessary support documents to file your case with USCIS. The implication is that once you file your case with USCIS, you are not to leave the USA until a decision is made. You are also not allowed to resume studies or work, you will just have to wait.

Decision from USCIS is what no one has control over. It can come in 3months and could take as much as 6 to 12 months. The process requires a lot of patience and you can research more about it on YouTube so you are well aware of the facts before embarking on it.

Let me allow the gurus with more experience about this to give their input.

How do you pay the fees, did you use form A. the currency conversion rate for lets say a school asking for 21,000 euro how much per euro naija bank convert rate and will the bank process that big amount of money (tuition fees) to the Nederland Uni account. How long does it take.

Hello,

So while the application was taking forever we sent a couple of webforms and also contacted an MP. We just got a response from the MP after the application was refused and the following were sent to the MP as reasons for the refusal:
1. Applicant failed to provide proof to prove the mother and daughter relationship to (name of daughter)
2. Applicant's reason to visit is to attend the ex-husband's wedding, however, applicant did not provide any evidence to prove that she is legally separated or divorced with the ex-husband.
3. Applicant stated on her application that she is in retail / Security verification: wholesale business, however, she is not able to provide any income proof or personal fund for the visit.

Tho I made a silly mistake, I felt they should have requested for those documents especially because it's stated on the portal that if they needed more documents they will request for them. Also the 3rd reason they gave is not true because I submitted my statement of account with the application.

Meanwhile the reasons for refusal that was sent to the MP is different from the ones listed in the refusal letter. These are the reasons listed in the refusal letter:

• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).

My hosts stated in the Invitation letter that they will be paying for my flight, feeding and also accommodate me and bank statements were attached to support their claim, I also submitted my bank statements. So that last reason is a bit confusing

I am wondering if the reasons sent to the MP is what is in my GCMS note since it's more detailed. I have not requested for my GCMS notes, I don't know if I should still do that.
