Hello NLs, I don't know if I am the only one who feels this way but I just have to let it out
I have been working for about 7-8yrs now but all of a sudden in the last 2yrs I noticed recently that something inside of me just wants me to do my own thing now (starting off on my own) It has suddenly just dawned on me that if I can invest the time and energy I put in my job into my personal hustle I will be far better off than just an employee... this is really beginning to affect my attitude to work I have a lot of biz ideas, and by the grace of God I have been able to gather some useful experience over the yrs which I believe is good enough to guide me in my business pursuit.
Am really trying to make up my mind asap cos I want to make good use of my life and my time this year. |

sexysegggs: You see some men make matter worst. You see some men still supporting her rude acts. I can imagine men feeling this way.
I have seen a scenario where a lady pour all kinds of insults unto this said man. She went ahead to even slap him and others. Thereafter the man slaps the lady in return. Could you believe what my fellow men said, "she is a lady you supposed not to slap her back". I was really shocked by the way men treat ladies especially the beautiful ones like a demigod.
Some men see it at the angle that he didn't own the chair. Does that give room for such behavior? Will you allow a woman to slap and do all kinds of sh*t on you because it's a public place? What are some of these men saying sef?
So if you support her she will give sex abi? Some men sha. Be like say u dey read the back of NL, pls where did the OP say anything about slap in his write up? Slap is another topic of discussion entirely!!!! |

janefrancisca:
You talk like you know me. Even if the offer was made privately and the girl rejects, the guy will still feel embarrassed (men and ego are like siamese twins). The only difference is the level of the embarrassment. But come to think of it, how will a guy propose to a girl who is not ready to spend the rest of her life with him? what is he thinking anyway? going by your post am forced to ask how old are u? |
Celebrities › Re: Tunde Owokoniran Proposes To Oluwatunmise Akinwinsola In Public by chccho(m): 4:06pm On Jan 20, 2016 |
janefrancisca: Of course she should decline if she isn't ready or sure. I don't know for others, but as for me i won't agree to a marriage proposal am not ready or even sure. The public will not be there when i will be crying my eyes out every night on my pillow when marriage wahala go start to shele o. its easier said than done, but wouldn't that be really embarrassing most ladies including u will find it very hard to decline such offer publicly, but at least if its done privately u can save the guy the embarrassment and also yourself too |

All these public proposals got me thinking!!!!!
when u propose to your spouse publicly is she supposed to decline the proposal?
what if she isn't ready or sure? and still says yes
what if she needs more time?
This public stunts don't guarantee the true state of the ladies mind, I think its just the order of the day that so many folks are taking after |

SSpeter: I have not been feeling too well lately, I visited a clinic. I took some drugs but it didn't alleviate the pain so the doctor referred me to a friend of his at the teaching hospital. I got info that the place is often crowded to I decided to leave home early so that I could still utilise the latter part of the day. When I arrived, they were people already waiting for the doc. We queued while sitting on a bench. I was the last person on the bench although we sat comfortably, that means the bench could still accommodate one more person with a degree of discomfort. Minutes later, A beautiful lady....really pretty....walks towards me and was about to use her buttocks to shove me inwards without uttering a word. Immediately I expanded my legs and gave her a slight push....Just as I looked the other way.....People on the bench didn't even blink someone sitting on the bench even hissed.......when she stood and couldn't find where to sit she walked away embarrassed .....later a guy came and was like....good morning can I join you? I was like sure...I dragged my buttocks a bit and we all squeezed ourselves while sitting on the bench. She came back and was walking aimlessly starring icily at me. I just fix my Ipod, blast music. ..........................I know some other ladies do these act too but no matter how pretty or beautiful you are if you lack courtesy, you are a pile of trash waiting for lawma! Op were u in he hospital to seek other peoples manners or to seek medical attention for your health condition? As far as am concerned that bench/sit doesn't belong to you and is for public use and so u have no right to occupy more than on persons space (which I must say is even rude of u to spread your legs) neither are u supposed to seek for courtesy or manners from a patient like u to make use of the hospital facility... its just like entering into a public bus and u have to beg people to shift for u!! for Christ sake its a public vehicle if u want convenience or comfort drive in your car In my own opinion based on the fact that u identified her as ''a beautiful lady'' I think u have a low self esteem or inferiority complex. That lady owed u no greeting or courtesy cos u even portrayed far more worse behaviour.. |

Craven: You obviously have very little knowledge about the banking industry. There are different roles in a bank, and those related to attending to customers are not usually done by graduate trainees. The people you see at the counter are usually contract staffs. Banking has much more to do than just accepting deposits and cashing cheques. Have you ever heard of investment banking or corporate banking? Those who work in those units, do you think they perform cashier or teller duties? No! They offer financial services to firms and the government, they offer advisory services on mergers and acquisitions. And that's just a tip of the iceberg.
The only reason people write the banking industry off is because they know very little about it. And that is just sad. ignorance na real disease |

YoungExec: The problem is a lot of Nigerian youths idolize the Oil company job. Hence they become 'transit' staff. It doesn't matter how much you pay them, how much you invest in their training both locally and abroad, they lust for those jobs because they think it's all about relaxing and earning millions. You pay someone 220k net salary yet the cheapskate won't use their money to run small company expenses while out on the field. They rather call the office to stupidly say 'I ran out of airtime so I couldn't call the client to follow up'. Even though they know they can write and get reimbursed. You then send them on business trips on the company tab and the bills they rack up leave you dazed. I sent a staff to a conference in Abuja, the fool racked up a bill of 720k over 3 days! He wanted to enjoy all the 'services' the hotel had to offer.
Right now, It's sad but I have more African expats working for me than Nigerian. Believe me, when you meet a Ghanaian immigrant with a University degree, they are so damned committed to their jobs! At least, they are humble and willing to out in the hard work.
Sorry I am venting but this gets me so angry! Nobody wants to start as entry level, work hard and get up the ladder anymore. They all just want it the easy way. thank u for speaking this bitter truth. In a country where almost 50% of the youth are unemployed, person see work of 200k and u say its slavery/streinous..if u knew better or had better options then y are u looking for a job ? |

dantewest: It seems the ever vibrant Nigerian market has been a tough nut to crack by the not so new management of Easy Taxi led by Adaora Asala. The ship was gradually sinking after the emergence of Adaora Asala, the new Managing director of Easy Taxi.
Since the introduction of the new MD Adaora, the company has being on a downward slope. Many Easy Taxi staffs are confused about what future, if any, Easy taxi has. The company has been plagued with falsifying awards, disgruntled employees, and not meeting with customers expectations.
Adebusola Babatunde, Senior PR, Events and Partnership at Easy Taxi tendered her resignation letter and left for a company with better structure earlier this month . Same with Tracy, who rocked the Public Relations arm of Easy Taxi also resigned this month. These are the people who made Easy Taxi a force to reckon with in Nigeria, especially Lagos. Adebusola Babatunde was exceptionally great at looking for leads, she sealed lots of partnership deals, and did extensive work with following up with clients.
The Easy Taxi social media handles (Twitter and Facebook) has being semi comatosed for a couple of months with the sudden resignation of the then Social media guru, Olutimehin Olumide. With the resignation of Adebusola Babatunde, their public outreach is as good as dead.
To add insult to injury, the entire staff of Easy Taxi in Abuja have being told to submit their laptops, effectively sacking about 12 people at once in an Ecommerce business environment. Who does that?
The MD had previously employed about 9 of her own people, even out of the people she employed in Abuja, some have already left the company before the Abuja shutdown. On November 13th, we told Nigerians that Easy Taxi was gradually bowing out to Uber Taxi, rumor had it that the former MD/Founder of Easy Taxi, Bankole Cardoso has been spotted in Uber countless times.
Key staffs of Easy Taxi Nigeria have also left the company for various reasons. And report reaching Nigerians on LinkedIn that the Social Media Manager recently announced his resignation of his appointment with the company. This sudden move are questions begging for answers and have kept Easy Taxi fans and customer wondering if all is well in the company.
Taxi hailing cab is really changing the experience of commuters in Nigeria, but not the same experience for Easy Taxi anymore as they are gradually bowing to pressure in Nigeria to Uber.
Easy Taxi one of African Internet holdings company may be facing her early exit in Nigeria just like their exit in Ghana.
