The Genesis of the matter.

I just finished watching a romantic movie and I've been sighing longingly for over an hour. What is in this "love" that people are falling into everyday yet I've been unlucky in finding that place? And although I hear people say "there's no love in Nigeria", I can't help but doubt them when I see my timelines on Facebook. Wedding every Saturday, love in the air. Or is there own feem trick?. Does love segregate?

What pushed me to write this thread?

I just realised that as old as I am, I've never been in love before and I'm suddenly coming to the unpalatable conclusion that at the rate I'm going, falling in love may never happen to me (wails uncontrollably). I want to love somebody's son and I want somebody's son to love me back. Is it hard to do?

There was a time I thought I knew how to achieve this feat but conditions are not favoring my initial plans of travelling abroad, doing a whirlwind romance and falling in love like they portray that they do over there, so I've decided to cut my coat according to my cloth, literally, and just do the type practiced here. So early this year, I made a research (Aproko) on how best to achieve this and voila: Nairaland Romance section popped up in brilliant hues.

But contrary to my expectations, romanceland has failed woefully in trying to help me attain this goal (these peeps here don't know what love is). With their incessant need to discuss on repetition topics ranging from preeks and kitten to redpill and feminism, even broke guys and entitled ladies all day long, I've found it hard to actually pinpoint a topic/thread that centers/teaches on love and how to fall in it. Thus asking, should I consult another section and try my luck over there? Maybe politics section? Those guys over there "sound" vicious enough and since the violent taketh it by force...

What I need?

So I've taken it upon myself to make the necessary clarion call on behalf of all the single people like me who has never been in love before, and for those who wish to experience it again to get the directions they need. As I am ignorant about how to go about falling in love, I'd implore those with expertise to help us with plentiful knowledge on the matter so that we can all learn and apply it.

Specifically, I need clarification on: where the entrance called "love" is located so I can go and fall inside or is that it is no longer accepting applications at this time? Has the door of love finally closed?

Well all know we need a better Nigeria and that's not news but the reality staring at us all. In over 30yrs of my life as a Nigerian this is the first time I am seeing or hearing that govt is giving such to its citizens for free pls even tho we aren't so happy in this country, let's for once be happy with this

FG knows their reputation is at an all time low. They will rather bribe some citizens rather than doing the right thing. How long can this be sustained ? Nigerians are very ignorant. What policy as this govt put in place to improve Nigerians lives for good. I know some people will say this and that .But the reason Nigeria is the way it is clearly seen from this thread. The govt knows how to play easily on our intelligence and we know how to easily fall for it.

Solve the foundation issues: restructuring, corruption, police brutality, law and order and improve infrastructure, business environment etc not be giving us 50k for 3 months while the value of the naira is plunging into the abysss daily. Anyway my 2 cents.

In this case both the buyer and the seller are shady folks because, I have never heard where a seller will drive from one state to another to meet a potential buyer. Just that it's the OPs ass thats been busted now. What i meant is i dont have his mobile number,i only messaged him on whatsapp and called on whatsapp yesterday before i knew he was a beast. I have never called his mobile number,neither have i sent a text. He is the same person that composed that message,then input my whatsapp number as sender, then screenshot it to look like it came from me,infct i lost that sim about 8months ago and since then i have never retrieved it,so how is it possible for me to text with a sim card that iz lost.i have been using that whatsapp nos for more than 3 years ,he is a scam.just avoid him. Read all his threads,he has a style of writing and talking,he is the same person posting,replying and commenting with diff alternate monickers. I blocked him since last nite on whatsapp and never got intouch with him on whatsapp again. I am now shocked that all along he was a scam,so imagine if i paid 300k. Na sorry for be my case.

The bolded really cracked me up. We Nigerians and our self entitled mentality. They should bring the car to your location!! not even within the same state oh, inter state, Na u buy the car for am of which the OP has even clearly stated he's a middle man. unfortunately we are not even sure who the scammer is in this case anymore. Maybe it's the man in Delta or Benin we no know.

How can u be asking someone to bring a car from Delta state to Benin for u If u want to buy a car go to where the car is located inspect and if its okay with u pay. I tire o!!! How does a pic justify the state/condition of a car's Engine An Engine could be ringed or about to knock and still look sparkling clean from a pic. The gearbox could also be bad but Engine shiny clean from pics.
As a serious potential buyer place a call, fix an appointment and go and inspect the car to know the true state of the car.
