He was asked a question and he answered it... Saying fuel subsidy is an organized crime isn't a wrong statement... Because some people are not busy eating up the country in the name of subsidy... I've told u.. Watch him, listen without sentiments then alone u will understand.... But u don't want to understand because of sentiment... So stop asking unnecessary questions
Can you show me the sentiment you are referring to? Do you think at all or do you think for yourself? If someone said something, can't you think beyond what the person said?

Is there anywhere i said that obi saying subsidy is an organized crime is wrong?

Based on what he said that subsidy is an organized crime, Did subsidy make itself an organized crime? Who is making it an organized crime? Is it by removing it that it will no longer be an organized crime?

If you watched him and understood him, why can't you answer the questions? Can't you as a Nigerian think beyond what a politician says?

If you can't answer the questions I asked, what then is the essence of removing subsidy?

At the end, your tinubu supports it, so that means something

Also, this argument you have made, has been made over and over again since the 1980's. And at the end , we keep on pushing forward a decision that should have been made ages ago.

We are not earning the kind of money that we can pay for subsidy anymore. And if subsidy on diesel and kerosene had not gone, we would have been spending all our earnings on subsidy by now...and using loans to finance our budget in its entierty, and paying for subsidy with some loans self.

It is time subsidy went.

How did you arrive at your definition of subsidy? How is this the meaning of subsidy...."Subsidy means that we set the price of fuel below what it costs to produce because of poor Nigerians".

How is Nigeria importing fuel because of subsidy?

How does lack of the profit you talked about cause

1.Sabotage...for more free government money

2.More and more corruption.

How do Saudi Arabia and UAE earn far more revenue than we do?

Because you guys want something that costs over N250 or more to refine to be sold below N200 or less.

That prevents investment in local refining, and creates the condtions that lead to loss of revenue, sabotage of exisitng refineries, and so forth.

Either we buy fuel at the market price, or we take more loans to maintain subsidy.

In 2019 and 2020 about 3 trillion Naira ($7 billion) was spent on subsidies. The number is expected to go up this year and next.

It means that Nigeria has spent over $30 billion on fuel subsidies over the past 16 years or so. In 2018, it spent 722 billion ($2.4 billion at that year’s official exchange rate of $1 = 306 Naira), but spent only $1.5 billion on health. Nigeria’s growing fuel subsidy may have contributed to the country’s health-financing gap

What has buhari being my hero or not being my hero got to do with the question I asked you?

Since you can see, why can't you answer the simple question? How is fuel subsidy responsible for all of the following?

On the other hand..see what keeping subsidy since 1973 has cost us

1.4 working refineries

2.Millions upon billions of lost income

3.Lots of lost jobs

4.A ballooning deficit which forces us to take loans

5.Millions upon billions lost to smuggling

6. NNPC being propped up by billions of naira that we should be spending elsewhere

7. A growing deficit which we have to borrow to cover for.

We are importing fuel because of subsidy.

Subsidy means that we set the price of fuel below what it costs to produce because of poor Nigerians

As a result, there is no incentive to produce fuel at home because there is no profit (and even Dangote is taking a big risk...because if government does not let him sell at a profit, he won't make enough to fix his refineries)

Also, since there is no profit being made, there is need to spend government money propping up the industry which causes

1.Sabotage...for more free government money

2.More and more corruption.

Go and check the ten top oil countries...those that are not importing fuel...all of them either

1.Sell fuel at a profit

2.Or are like Saudi and UAE...who earn far more in revenue than we do, and have populaitons as low as 40m and 13m people.
