nextprince:I think sometimes all we need is to be unsentimental while reading. The prof. has told you his personal effort in bringing investments into the state and had met with the governor several occasion but as a typical Nigerian politician, he made public show of it and that was all. He did his part as a Deltan but his effort was down played. But Edo state, a neighbouring state had to gain the benefit of having a man of international repute like Prof. Utomi as a neighbour. Prof. Utomi might not be a good Nigerian politician because a lot is need to be one. Reputation and accolades don't win elections in Nigeria and so it will be a hard rock for Prof. Utomi to crack. For his grammar, I am sorry the prof cannot condescend because you cannot comprehend the simplest of it all. |
We forget too soon. A leopard never changes its spot. We all knew what we were going into, but blindly we went head on. Even for some of us that might be laughing now, the same will shall face when there is no perceived enemy to harm. Once a dictator always a dictator. |
steve13:Thank you.. |
what type of fabric? |
I like the innovation going on in the agric section. I am in love! |
godspeed:If he puts 1.3m now, you will still ask for 1.1m, serious buyer. |
I have been going through this informative and educative thread since yesterday and just finishes. I just have to go back to page one to start afresh. This is a 3 credit unit examination for me which I must pass. Jasper thank you for bringing in this thread. Hope to be a part of the agric team soon. |
@segcymoor I am very impressed by what you are doing in the project this far. Just keep it up and keep professionalism as your watch word. Fidel.. |
There is nothing outrageous about the area you got as long as you transferred your load approprately. But hope you used the servicerblility limit load and not the ultimate load to calculate the required area. |
All public letters written to the president are all in effort to disparage and rubbish him thus, bringing him to bad light with his people. I think he is being vindicated little by little though. |
chiesel the wall down to the foundation is ok, but you still need to take care of the overturning effect of the parapet by introducing a lateral supporting anchore in between. Meanwhile, I hope your block wall are not the one bag, 60 block type. NOTE: If my explanations and advice seem murky, you send a mail to me at checkfidel@yahoo.co.uk then I can send my number to you. |
The truth is that some people never plan to have parapet in their building so, it becomes an after thought. This though should not deter you from achieving your dream of having a building with a beautifully design parapet. one good thing I like about parapet is that it serves as a barrier for burglars who tend to break in through the ceiling. |
Good thinking,good product. |
If a rule was broken, hammer, if not unban then you can modify iff it is necessary. |
I just want to believe you are not trying to mock him. It is to show you that you can make it too if you can only put in your best. He has worked hard to be recognised at the federal level. It is then a clarion call to us all to put in our best, develope and harness our knowledge and talent and one day our effort we be recognised. |
bright87: Thanks for your reply Oga Spyder. When i called him, he seem sure, but i am just concerned that concrete is very heavy... but has said that he can get more pillars in the house if i insist, as it's not too late. I know this will cost me a bit more but If it's really needed I don't mind spending the extra cash which is why I am asking for expert advise on this. Kindly throw more light on things so that i know what to tell him when i call him. Have already bought materials for the parapet and negotiated with the carpenter as well, just wanna be sure about things before we commence the parapet phase. The truth is that parapets are suppose to be treated with utmost care just like cantilever, which they are. But, I have seen that some buildings do not have any form of structural design for the parapet due to the use of unqualified personnels in the industry. This meaning that the contractor uses what he did in Mr A's house to handle Mr B's without considering the geometric changed that might have occured. What is done is that a dwarf pillar is mounted from the lintel to assist in the anchorage of the parapet beam and also introducing internal beam (toe) which is meant to counter the parapet weight. |
The Vanguard Newspaper is a national daily and so do have reputation to protect. If such organisation publishes a letter purportedly written by Iyabo Obasanjo, I quess it should be taken seriously otherwise, libel suit can be taken against them. This in no faceless Sahara Report with misinformation that has always been discredited. |
I think we are diversifying really. If we push in more we shall get there in nearest future iff the continuity is allows it. |
Malawian: illungunboy dosent actually hate igbos. just that he has taken his own side of the banter going on here.I only hope so, its only that his bigotry disposition in other fora agaisnt them preceeds him. |
ilugunboy: Do you know any Ibo doing professional exploit in Malaysia? It is a pity that your hatred for the Igbos has realy overmastered you. Your emotion when it comes to them has been hijacked by hatred. You need to free yourself from this self imposed bondage. If white can be brown because it is coming from the east, then you need to free yoursef from the LUNGUN and feel what it means to be free indeed. |
This place is not a village or town hall meeting where we all have to "dobale" for baba or anybody else. My people say "the way you are dressed, is the way you are address. Let him, Obasanjo play the role of an elder stateman and surely he will recieve the accolades due to an elder stateman. |
It is quite unfortunate that a former president of a country like Nigeria will come out to vent his frustration on the pages of newspapers knowing fully well the effect on the polity. Accusation of training a killer squad and having names of 1000 persons to slaughter is grievious and heinous which should not be coming from a man in the capacity of ex-president. I quess the level of desperation is exceeding its threshold thus such ulterances. |
I will be grateful if you can send the ebook to checkfidel@yahoo.co.uk You are kind hearted indeed. |
olatiler: Somebody should tell Keshi to keep his dirty mouth shot and say the real factBelieve this and you believe anything. |
All that matters is the team spirit . Anybody that wants to destroy it should be showed the way out. |
I firmly believe that Sahara Report lack crediblilty and should never be taken seriously. There is no way a governor will keep his sane wife under house arrest and with the intervention of the number one couple in the country could not be released. Again, when bishops and priests intervened, still the governor could not change his mind. This can only tell you that the lady in question has a problem that should not be exposed to the outside world. I will want us to know that this is a sitting governor and will definitely not want his wife to go around acting uncontrolled outside the government house. |
eddiebruk: See how thin the Tar or whatever they used on that road is, with so much red Mold, when the Water absorbs the Mold the Tin Tar of course cannot stand the weight of Vehicles..so what were they expecting when they are actually the ones who gave such contracts to themselves so that after such casualties they will have another opportunity of re-awarding the contract to themselves again.I can see that you know nothing about what you are saying, why then are you exposing your ignorance. |
Surely they must gather ,but in a thousand fold shall they scatter. |
Is it for you to doubt his age or to acknowledge his achievement. They said he is 16 so be it. Or maybe you want him to put on T-shirt and jean before you know. Or maybe for him to show his side view to know if the bears are mature or showing sign of growth. Meanwhile he is not a Nigerian nor an African so you should expect rapid development as usual. |
I think our level of poverty has really made us oblivious of the the greater things around us. If the boys bought a jet as speculated, good for them. Why should we pour aspersion at them for enjoying their fruit of their labour. Ride on boys. Live your lifes at its fullest. |
