So you get to weigh your truck before loading, infact, they will tell the driver to disembark.

Then they weight it after loading. And you pay what you see on the meter.

Easy peasy.

I paid 20,000 transport for a 30 ton truck. I was in awe.

Another contractor on my ongoing project used one trip of 20 tons and a few quantities of sand for his blinding while I use one trip of 10 tons and a very few quantity of stonedust for the same size of foundation; same depth and same approved mix ratio.

He used 10 tyre truck. I use 6 tyre tipper.

One of the developers who engaged our service for supervision already paid for all reinforcements, Cement, blocks, granite and dust that will complete his project before the recent hike in price. As a result of the agreement signed, he is not affected by the current fluctuation in price of commodities.

He got the details from the material schedule we prepared for him. He is happy and smiling now. The project is about #50m

I can relate with your challenges up there. I agree that Nigeria is one wild environment where things dont always go according to plan and l can only pray and wish you more growth and success, in your chosen occupation.
Just keep trying to put in your best and be extremely OPEN with your Customers, they will understand and be considerate. once they come to understand that your YES, is your YES.
It is just like Husband and Wife, once you TRUST your Wife, it odes not matter what happens, she only needs to inform you and you will find a way to accommodate it/her but once there is no trust, no matter what she says, there will always be suspicion and that is where the trouble stars from.
So, HONESTY and TRUST are the two most important ingredient, along with HUMILITY, to grow a business.

I have a very strong feeling you are rebuilding and coming back stronger, dont relent, God is your strength.
Let me go to the funky part:
I know it is not easy to save but 'savings' is the first money we 'spend' (keep aside) when we get salary or make profit.
1) Keep money aside, to build your business.
2) All these banks that see the turn-around in yoru business, can you approach them for a Loan, can you access Govt, business loans, to grow your business?
3) Since you cant afford buying a truck, just like that, can you buy a Smaller vehicle (Bus, Van, Canter, etc) that you can use in running smaller business, so it brings you income that you can now keep saving till it gets to the point where you can use it as a collateral to obtain a bigger bank loan?
4) Are you honest and straightforward enough, to the point that one of these Diasporeans can go into business partnership with you, send a truck down to Nigeria and you operate it on a 40/60 basis (or any other suitable percentage), saving most of your own part and looking forward to either buy-out the Oga in London/America or just build the business more and more, on the basis of that formula?

I am making these suggestions because l think you cannot allow yourself to be subject to all those problems, real problems above. You have to start thinking of stabilising your business and building a name for yourself. You wont be able to do so, if you have to depend on those drivers for the success of your business name. Nigeria is a harsh business environment.

Forgive me for carrying your matter on-top of my head, na those Poisoned Indomie Palliative dey worry me.

You can see why the entire system are SARS setup operating style, from sand supplier to truck driver, cement seller, to even mama alata to mallam that sale suya on street conner etc all na SARS.The biggest SARS so far are politicians and government officials, its matter of time the bubble will soon burst.

Dont take Criticisms the wrong way! I am not mean to you, It is a reminder that "Nothing is forgotten and Nothing should be taken for granted".
Do you remember one time when you analysed in your Post, the different types of SCAMS that Granite Suppliers use to use in cheating Customers (Yoodi, Ashawo, etc) ?
That is how far you went to built trust in your Customers.

I also understand that there are things, events that we cant control and l am sure Customers also know that afterall, we are all humanbeings.
What the CUSTOMER expects and demand is FULL TRANSPARENCY AND HONESTY, dont forget some of them are also working on Budget and tight TIME SCHEDULE so disappointments here and there also affects them.
If Supplier fails and there is no material on ground, as of when House Owner promised a builder to come and work, (Builder has also brought daily workers), all because the Supplier disappointed, the House Owner still have to pay those Workers even though they could not work since you are in-charge of Material Supply.

If we hear of any stories that a member here tries to cheat you, l am sure we will intervene, as we have done on the cases of so many people, your own cant be different. We protect ourselves here, Clients and Contractors.

My suggestion is that you communicate to your Customers, as early as possible, in a honest and transparent manner.
I like you as a person and l have gained from your knowledge in the past, that is why l am saying all these to you, because l want you to go back to the Old Chekitaut that we all trust and recommend. You can do it.
Injections of Medicine can be painful initially but it is designed to heal and bring good health afterwards.
I wish you more grease to your elbow, l wish you more success and growth. I wish that you are not just 'standing', l wish you to be 'running at full speed' by now.
I know you have the capacity to do well if you chose to and l pray you will chose to.

God-willing next year, l should be able to start another project around Chevron in Lagos and l will give you a trial again, to see if these disucssion has made any impact and will be reading the reviews of others about your services, as well.

He used to do very well before he went Rogue! Some years back (up to around 2014) he was the numero uno of Granite and Stone Dust supply on this thread.
He supplied me five 30Tons and four 20tons granite (and lots of Stone Dust) some years back and they were okay, except the last one when he started telling me stories.

I want to think and hope that he is begining to realise the importance of keeping it honest and simple.

Just to give my feedback on the granite I bought from Chekitaut, I can confirm to the house that he made the delivery of the granite on time as promised and the quantity of the granite is confirmed by my Engr. compared to the one we bought before. Keep it up bro and warm up for granite supply for the decking. Attached is the picture of the 30 tons he supplied for me.
