Our 30tons Granite remain @$500 equivalent to Naira. Over 6year we have not change price... Its Naira that is changing ooooo.

The highest of seamp are on mainland, Ajegunle, Mile 2, MazaMaza, Oluti, Alakija, Festac extension, Abule Ado, Gani Adams side, Ijegun, Opp Barracks, Agric, Volkswagen, Iba, Alaba, Ajangbadi...etc they also lack Building ethics with serious bad eco management.

Building collapses there faster than island. 10yrs old building collapse while 50yrs in island or fresh onces without good Build ethics.

Apart from VI, Ikoyi, Central Lagos and maybe Lekki phase 1, can somebody educate me on the attraction of the island lands?

I'm thinking, why should I buy a swamp, wet land, or a mash for 5 million Naira and use another 12 million Naira to starbilize the land and build just the foundation?

I'm looking at photos being posted here of available lands in the island, to be honest, I'm not impressed not only with the quality of the land but also the quality of the area. I'm not even seeing the potential of any future quality well planned location.

Am I missing something? If you think I am, please educate. Or are there no more land in the mainland?

There's no where in the world, anyone will be erecting a structure without a structural engineer's input in the design process and also making sure his structural specifications are implemented accurately.

There is alot in Nigeria, Baba Sule, Kofi, Chukwuma(Stainless), Amusin... Them plenty make i mention few from Abuja, Lagos, PHC, etc. Kofi travel pass, he is a structural, electrical, plumber, iron bender, Archy name it na Kofi be that.

Politians use them mostly... They only need an engineer to just sign in his air conditioner hotel room. You go fear whenn you enter Naija them be serious Nija.

The issue of Port Harcourt increase is because of alot of construction is going on now.

Not really the situation is bad road, multiple taxes, hype of the product(only the rich use granite)

Hello dear people of Nairaland! Please I want to make an enquiry about my project I am undergoing in Benin city from those of us who are good in engineering and site work.

I have a 3 bedroom and a two room self contain flat which is already on a DPC level and I done the forming after the filling with just one coach. I want to give the project to an engineer to finish the job just go paraphet level I.e he will be the one to do the paraphet.

The engineer is charging 2million Naira for just the labor. I will be the one to buy all the materials needed; all the cement, block, rod, wood etc. 2M is just for labor alone.

Please is this fair enough ? Is the price too high?

Please I need your urgent help.

Land is that bad? If Pile i will say no reason to panic because its imowe, your depth will not be much, i give respect to Aventure, Segcymoore(Abbatoir) very skilled in pile work. Pile point if much that is where is scaring...but to say the fast is best form of foundation if done properly.

Max is you spend ₦12m for foundation.

Abule Ado is a good place too dry land in range from ₦1.5-4m

I think it’s between N50 - N200 per pc depending on size. It’s also sold in packs.

Correct. I was shocked to the marrows when a man diesel truck loaded a full 30 tons trailer in just 2 trips and few sacks.

Due to site accessibility issh, I had to drop the granite some distance to the site and transload with a smaller truck. I was shocked to see the small truck transload the supposed 30 tons in just 2 trips.
