Please can how much is the current price of 20 tonnes plaster sand, i want to load to eputu (after awoyaya) for my plastering.

just to get some clarification from experts here, is it necessary to mix both plaster and sharp sand during plastering? alot of ppl just do plaster sand only but my mason says its best to mix?

That may not solve the problem, the weight of a solid 9" block will be nearly 40 kg or more. Who can lift it on a height of 3 meters or more? Workplace safety dictates that we choose options that will not endanger the health of workers. 6" solid is hard not to talk of 9" solid.

Fellow building industry workers, it's time we start finding solutions to some things in the industry. Sometimes When We Work To Cast Concrete on block holes To form lintels, parapets, mass concrete or other works. We notice that concrete falls into block holes and if not blocked with bricks and sometimes the non conventional means of using cement bags, this is a big waste of cement, sand and chippings, plus time and money for labor. We should think of cheap but workable alternatives.

I think we should start making polystyrene chips to fit into block holes. I think the prices of the polystyrene filling will be minimal to compare the cost of breaking blocks to fill in block gaps or using other things. I think polystyrene filling will be easier and faster to place on block holes before iron reinforcement.

Nice one when i did a little project in Edo State i observed something and thinking is going to be best solution to this, what is it? Solid block, using solid block before casting of lintel & decking beam is the only solution.

A plot is either 50ft by 100ft or 60ft by 120ft depending on the location. In the north is mostly 50 by 100 and 60 by 120 in the south.

With respect to 60 by 120, 2 plots can be either 120ft by 120ft or 60ft by 240ft. Most often you will find 2 plots as 120 by 120 than 60 by 240.

Most lands are sold with one 60 side as front having the access with the 120 as the sides of adjoining plot or with a corner piece case having access at one side too.

A 60 by 240 means having 2 plots arranged end to end. You find that mostly in estates where the 2 plots are back to back of 2 streets. This kind of land is not usually suitable for most purposes since its too long on one side.
