thank you for the response, he wants to charge 250k but i told him 180k was the last am going to pay, now am seeing that the 180k is even too much from what you have just mentioned. he gave me a quote for the rods, 100 pieces for 16mm rod, 290 pieces for 12mm rod and 70 pieces for 8mm rod, 3 rolls of binding wire and 250k workmanship.

Its painful we have lot of bricklayers on the forum claiming to be an Engineer, please be careful who handle your job or project. Judas in our midst ooo. Your hard earning is important.

My advice engage a trusted Engineer or Consult one, it will help you someday. I am a building materials marchant, i am not an Engineer but employed & also consult engineers they are very important to your project.

I do not think there is remedy to this, this would hv being avoided if a chain lintel is apply to the structure, crack mayb cause by soil settlement or weight of the roofing.
