Getting Closer to The Inauguration of A New Democratic Government, I know our expectations are heightening, at least many of us who voted for change. Which pressing issues in Nigeria do you realistically expect change to happen within Buhari's first 100 days in office?

4. Sector and Institutional Reforms in Education, Healthcare, Police, PHCN, Judiciary, Anti Corruption Agencies, Civil Service etc.

I am ambivalent about the whole idea. I always shop at Shoprite Grand Towers at Apo or the outlet at Wuse, all in Abuja when I am in town, and their prices are fair and the quality and authenticity of goods is guaranteed. That is a plus.
But on the negative side, it will destroy the small businesses that are thriving in that area, especially the great Effurun Market which has existed for centuries. Apart from food groceries which comes from nearby villages, I can assure you that the small time traders will wiped out in the nearest future, due to competition. The cost of transporting from the market to the Shoprite outlet is about 30 to 50 naira by public transport, and the distance is less than 5 minutes!
It is one of the bitter price of globalization, the large companies gobbling up the smaller business entities, and no one seems to care!

I have lost count of miserable acts people do to gain popularity on nairaland especially on romance section for the benefit of love, recognition and favouritism.


Hitherto, there are certain things guys do to gain ladies recognition without having an idea of what she looks like and vice versa. As a result many do disgusting things just to crave attention for online crush.

In lieu of the tornado thread romancelanders experienced since morning from a strange moniker, a good example can be summarized from it. I don't want to dwell much on this to avoid another catastrophe.

Going straight to the point, here are some of the acts;

Uploading fake photos

Ladies are the major culprit of this act. Using a picture that doesn't belong to you and claiming it's theirs is pathetic and shameful. However, when someone is not proud of his/her looks, low self esteem is the root cause of it. Countless examples has been cited on these forum and thank God mods are doing the needful.

Supporting lame comments

I have occasionally seen many people supporting lame comment even when the truth is staring at them. As a matter of fact, you need not to advocate for the ladies before they develop interest in you. Be yourself!

Bashing Colleagues/fellow monikers to gain recognition

Hehehe! This is very common among male folks. Though I will say the ratio of male to female is 60: 40. You will see a dude referring to his fellow dudes as being immature of poor just because he wants to be seen as being matured and rich.

Flirting (Woman wrapper)

Woman wrappering is not really bad but it must be done in such a way that your self worth and dignity will not be lost. You need not open a thread begging a lady to reply your personal messages, emails, etc.

Telling lies

Some monikers can lie! People lie generally but some moniker's lie on this forum can make lucifer go for lying training. Some guys claim they cannot send a lady Pm while some ladies say the same. They sweet tongue fake stories for their post to hit FP, gain popularity and increase online crush for pride.

I have been indoors all day, sick with runny stomach and high temperature,which is unusual because the weather is extremely cold due to heavy rainfall.
Maybe, it is a reaction to the cup of Moringa tea that I took.
