This is wrong na. Why wishing that to your fellow citizens who also want something best for you. People will not commit suicide no matter the result of the election. Nigerians presently just want the election to come and go. This cashless economy is not good for the nation.

Sports / Etebo Says He Spurned Premier League Opportunities For Championship by chi074(m): 4:34pm On Jul 17, 2018
PETER ETEBO has revealed that he turned down Premier League interest this summer before opting to fulfil his dream of playing in English football with Stoke City.

The highly-rated attacking midfielder became Gary Rowett’s first capture of the summer last month after the Potters fought off stern competition from a plethora of clubs all courting the 22-year-old’s signature.

Etebo caught the eye of many with a string of outstanding performances for his country in Russia, with his superb showing against South American giants Argentina earning him the man-of-the-match award.

Speaking exclusively to Stoke City+, he revealed that a decision on his future would have been made after the World Cup Finals had he not been so impressed by the vision and ambition of the Stoke City hierarchy.

“I feel great, I am finally here and I really appreciate the support and the welcome that everybody has given to me,” the Nigerian star stated.

“Everybody needs a break after a tournament like the World Cup, but my mind has been here, I knew that I was coming to Stoke City and I was excited about it.

“I spoke to a lot of friends about the move and the tradition of this Club appealed to me – everybody knows that this is a big Club, even though we suffered relegation last season.

“It is important for us to do well this season, to make sure that everything goes well in the future, but I know how difficult a challenge this will be.

“I did that because of the relationship and the conversations I had. I was happy with what was said – if I wasn’t then I wouldn’t have come to Stoke City.”

He added: “I believe that we are going to make this a great season. I am going to give my best and hopefully that will be enough for the Club.

Crime / The Truth About Khadijah Oluboyo by chi074(m): 10:08am On Jul 14, 2018
Following the incident that went viral on social media about Khadijah Adenike Oluboyo, the first daughter of the former deputy governor of ondo state,Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo. Khadijah was found dead at the premises of Adeyemi Alao. Media went insane with alot of report about the incident and the deceased, which some of it happens to be speculation of who Khadijah Oluboyo was.
Some news depicted her to be promiscuous and wayward but those news didn’t give references to how they got such information, meanwhile they are not reliable news and should be discarded.
According to Khadijah’s immediate sister, Kudirat Oluboyo and friends from Adeyemi College of Education, Mutiat Bakare, Stanley and Dupe. Adeyemi and Khadijah dated long time ago but Khadijah left him after sometime, which Adeyemi persuaded her to come back but she declined. Overtime they normalized to be friend’s and she told one of her friend after some years that they still keep in touch but no string attached that they are just friends. Sometimes Adeyemi do request her to pay him a visit but she declined for sometime, but for old time sake she reluctantly accepted. That was due to the fact that she was free hearted and simple. This was confirmed by
her close friends in her present school(AAUA)Lucy, Tolu and Habibat who happen to always be with her. They further said she was accommodating that she plays with alot of people either male or female, young or old, irrespective of their status.

Sports / Benzema Drop Madrid Exit Hint by chi074(m): 8:52am On Jul 13, 2018
The 2017/18 campaign saw Karim Benzema record his least productive season with Real Madrid netting 12 times in 39 games with the dividend strengthening calls for his exit from the Bernabeu. On the day where the player celebrates his ninth anniversary with the LaLiga side, the French forward took to his Twitter account posting a message that for many has the hallmarks of a farewell:

“Nine years ago I first wore the Real Madrid shirt, thanks to the President, the whole club and the players and all the coaches with whom I met along the way. I’ve been proud to defend the club badge and am eternally grateful always"
#HalaMadrid

The message coincides with reports in Italian sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport who claim Napoli are set to make a 40 million euro bid for Benzema. If the French striker does move to the Serie A side it would see a reunion with former Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti who has just taken over at the Neapolitan outfit.

Sports / Russian Team Doctor Admits Players Sniffed Drug Before Matches At The World Cup by chi074(m): 10:39pm On Jul 12, 2018
German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung’s claims that Russian players sniffed ammonia, a non-banned substance, to improve their performance during their games at the World Cup, have been confirmed by the team’s doctor. The report in
Süddeutsche Zeitung cited a
spokesperson for the Russian Football Federation , who admitted to the Bavarian newspaper that one of the Russian substitutes sniffed a cotton ball doused in ammonia before coming on in the game against Spain.
In the latest twist in the tale, on Tuesday Eduard Bezuglov, the Russian national team’s chief medical professional, stated that the players had inhaled ammonia before the game against Spain and again ahead of the quarter-final against Croatia.
“ We are talking about a simple ammoniac that you apply to buds of cotton wool and then inhale. Thousands of athletes do the same thing to give themselves a lift . It’s been in use for decades, “ Bezuglov was quoted as telling local media in Russia. “It is not only used in sport but also in everyday life when someone loses consciousness of feel dizzy because of the strong smell it gives off.
You can go to any pharmacy and buy ammonia and cotton buds. It does not constitute doping .”
“AS COMMON AS USING SHAMPOO IN THE SHOWER”
While ammonia is not classed as a prohibited substance in international anti-doping regulations, it is known to help improve athletic performance, by stimulating breathing and improving the flow of oxygen in the blood. “The Russian Federation acted as if it were something as common as using shampoo in the shower, ” states the
Süddeutsche Zeitung article.
Süddeutsche Zeitung was not the only German media outlet to link Russian players with the use of ammonia. Tabloid newspaper Bild claimed that images broadcast by German public television of Russian players rubbing their noses during the quarter final game against Croatia suggested that they were using the performing-enhancing substance.

Sports / Mahrez Has Been Crowned BBC African Footballer Of The Year 2016 by chi074(m): 10:48pm On Dec 12, 2016
Riyad Mahrez has been crowned the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2016.
Fans from across the world voted for the Algeria and Leicester midfielder ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Andre Ayew, Sadio Mane and Yaya Toure.
Winger Mahrez, 25, told BBC Sport: "It means a lot, it's something big for African players so I am very happy, I am very proud.
"It's always good to receive awards and for African players it's a huge honour. To all the fans, thank you very much."
He added: "Also I want to thank the Algeria fans and dedicate this to them as well and for my family.
"I just have to carry on and keep going with my football and see what I can do."
The award caps an exceptional year for Mahrez, who had already won the English Premier League title and was voted Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year.
It is further recognition for his outstanding form as Mahrez, whose family comes from the small town of El Khemis in Algeria, took the Premier League by storm.
He was a driving force in Leicester City's shock title triumph, scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists as the Foxes pulled off what had been a 5,000-1 shot before the season.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieiri was in attendance as Mahrez received his award and paid tribute to the winger.
"I want to see him continue as a fantastic player," the Italian told BBC Sport. " It's very important for us, for the team. He is improving every day.
"I don't speak about his quality. I speak about his sacrifice, he has fought for the team because it's very important for us to be together."
In May, Mahrez became the first African to be voted the best player in the league by his fellow professionals, only two years after he had joined Leicester from Le Havre for £400,000.
Mahrez has made a remarkable rise from playing street football as a youngster to shining in the company of some of the world's best footballers.
In 2016 he proved he can thrive at the highest level, scoring four goals in his first five games in the Champions League.
He has also excelled on the international stage. In five matches for Algeria he scored two goals and provided five assists, and helped them qualify for next month's Africa Cup of Nations.
His achievements have also been recognised by football's world governing body Fifa, who included him on its shortlist for Player of the Year - the only African among the 23 names.
Mahrez now joins a list of greats, including Abedi Pele, George Weah, Jay-Jay Okocha and Didier Drogba, to have won the BBC African Footballer of the year award.
