abujaniv:thank you for your response but do I still need to write to the embassy to present my case? as there is usually no time to do so while having a one on one interview with a VO because I would like to clear all doubts as well. |
Hi everyone, please i would like to get your opinion on this, myself and my family got a US visa 2years ago and we couldn't travel at the time we intended to go because my husband was bereaved of his mum and we eventually used the visa for a subsequent vacation and birthing as well, though I never sent a change of intent letter to the embassy because i dint know I was supposed to, I only got to know of such a letter when I joined this forum. Upon renewal our visas were refused under 221G and the VO said I was probably pregnant at the time of the interview and honestly I wasn't. We were asked to come for a fresh interview which we did and again we were denied under 214 (reasons not clear). My question is what are our chances if we re-apply and is it OK to write to the embassy attaching all necessary medical reports and scan to show I wasn't pregnant at the time of our first interview before re-applying again ? Even my LO birth date proves I wasn't pregnant at that time.. ..please your urgent response is required. Thanks |

Hi guys, please I am new here and I have a question. please has anyone here been granted a Canadian TRV after being refused US visa renewal (without prejudice)? what are ones chances of getting a canadian visa in such situation? |
hello everyone. please I am new here and I have some questions to ask..I travelled to the US with my family (myself, spouse n son) in 2014 and again in 2015...had a baby in Boston. Upon Dropbox renewal we were refused visas on grounds that the visa was for visiting and not for medicals...my question is, what can we do to get our visas back? please it's rather urgent...thanks |

Dear VO, thanks for your response but is there anything I can do to save the situation now? how do I prepare for the next interview? |
[quote author=abujaniv post=53126274]Hello chi1145. All applications are adjudicated on the totality of the situation. Visa officers size up the overall credibility and financial flexibility of each applicant. We are not doctors (well, some are), so we're not going to delve into every detail of a person's medical history. No one has a right to a visa. Dear VO, thanks for your response but is there anything I can do to save the situation now? how do I prepare for the next interview? |
my family and I got a B1/B2 visa June 2014 and at that time I wasn't pregnant. I became pregnant in Aug 2014 and had my baby in the US April 2015. upon visa renewal via dropbox in 2016 June our visa was refused on grounds that our visa was wrongly used for medical purpose and we were asked to go for fresh interview...we went for a fresh interview a few days ago and the VO still insisted I was pregnant at the time of the interview in June 2014. I offered to show a scan result which I did then showing i wasnt pregnant but he turned it down..and refused our visa under 214b...what can we do to get our visas back...what can I do to support my case because to be honest I wasn't pregnant at the time of the interview in 2014...and by calculations Aug-April is 9 months. I had a miscarriage in may and did an evacuation. in July I was asked to do a repeat scan to see if I was fine and I still have that scan to show as proof that i wasnt pregnant at the time of the interview...but the visa officers have refused to even see the scan results....please what can I do to get our visas back? |
no I did not fill that i had a baby in the US in the drop box form...I just wish the VO won't bring up the birth issue in the next interview since we already dealt with that during drop box...I dint know about this forum before giving birth i would have gotten all necessary information to help me then...hoping for the best during my next interview. |
to be honest I did not know I was meant to write a letter of "change of intent" would have done that...and the VO checked my reciept and confirmed everything was paid for in full....my fear is that they never give time to explain anything and I am trying to imagine the possible questions they'll throw at us when we go for the next interview.... |
[quote author=KaptainAfrika post=52680155]To all VO's who will ever interview you, you always intended to have your child in the US. Why didn't you just use it for the purpose you collected the visa for (maybe vacation, conference etc.), then you would have been in the clear to have your child in the US later. Did you send the now worthless 'change of intent' letter? These guys value honesty, which is quite hypocritical, when you realise the lies that they themselves will tell to further their national interests. At your next interview, explain why you didn't you use your visa for the purpose, you applied for. Show you paid all your bills and hope for the best. to be honest I did not know I was meant to write a letter of "change of intent" would have done that...and the VO checked my reciept and confirmed everything was paid for in full....my fear is that they never give time to explain anything and I am trying to imagine the possible questions they'll throw at us for our next interview |
Hi everyone, please I am new here and i have a few questions to ask...my family was issued a US visa early 2014 and when the visa was issued I wasn't pregnant, I had scan results that proved i wasnt...in mid 2015 I went to the US to give birth. In 2016 we decided to do a drop box to renew our visas but we were called to appear for another interview explaining why I stayed almost 3mnths. myself n my husband appeared and I told the VO I had a baby and the VO did not give any chance for us to explain futher and dint bother to check my Dr's report (showing the med issues I had)....to summarize it all, our renewal was refused on grounds that the visa B1/B2 was used for a wrong purpose and she asked us to go apply again as freshers....my question is "what are our chances of getting the visas again? |
