I am not a Fan of PMB but one thing I like him for is he is full of surprises!

Dont blame PMB much!!. Blame selfish Tinubu. When APC gained power they debated that they should use regionalism for appointment so that every region will have appointments but Tinubu opposed the move strongly.......Tinubu thought being APC Chairman that he will be allowed to flood Nigerian government with his own cronies.......just like he single handedly picked Osibanjo (His worker) as vice president, He even was positioning his wife for a position in the senate before Saraki took him by surprise. If Tinubu had allowed for or agitated along side and not opposing to for federal character, everyone wont be complaining. Its the same system that government has been useing in nominating appointment so that its not lopsided.

I'm a die hard supporter and believer of PMB and also a northener. But I'm also a bit disturbed at least Amaechi shld have been made SGF.
There is one southerner if not well compensated by PMB then even humanity would not forgive him and that's Amaechi.
Yh he is corrupt just like every other politician in our society today but he was one of the people that made the change possible. One good turn deserves another.

koboko69:
President Muhammadu Buhari has pulled yet another surprise — filling key positions in his government outside of popular speculations.

Against permutations that the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) would be Ogbonnaya Onu or Rotimi Amaechi, Buhari has picked a relatively unknown party man from Adamawa state.

Those who speculated that the chief of staff (CoS) was going to be Babatunde Fashola, former governor of Lagos state, or Hammed Ali, a retired colonel and former military administrator of Kaduna state, have also been shocked with the choice of Abba Kyari, former MD of UBA Plc.

How much do you know about Buhari’s new appointees?

BABACHIR LAWAL: PASTOR AND POLITICIAN

Nigeria.Lawal, from Hong LGA in Adamawa state, is an ICT engineer, PRINCE2-certified project management specialist, APMG-certified change management specialist, business analyst and a Christian theologian with specialisation in missions. He graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1979 with a bachelor in engineering.

He later worked at Delta Steel Company, Aladja, NITEL and Data Sciences Limited. He set up his own ICT and telecommunications consulting firm in 1990. He is also a member of the Nigeria Computer Society, the Nigeria Society of Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria. He is a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was in the inauguation committee headed by Timipre Sylva.
In an interview with Daily Sun newspaper in 2014, Lawal said Boko Haram was sponsored to get sympathy for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
He said: “Boko Haram was sponsored to initially get sympathy for President Jonathan. Now, it has backfired. Let me tell you this. I am a Christian and pastor. In 2012, the campaign was that we should vote for Jonathan because he is a Christian. In the churches, nobody wanted to hear anything about a Muslim president. They did not vote for Buhari. They voted for Jonathan who is a Christian.”

ABBA KYARI: LAWYER, BANKER, SOCIOLOGIST, EX-EDITOR

Initially thought to be a possible choice for the SGF position if Onu was not picked, Kyari, from Borno state, is now saddled with organising the personal staff of the president — one of the most powerful jobs in government. His CV is not only rich but diverse: he has two first degrees — one in sociology and the other in law; he has been a banker as well as a newspaper editor.
Kyari got a BA in sociology from the University of Warwick, England, in 1980. He also holds a BA in law from the University of Cambridge, England, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1983. In 1984, he obtained a master’s in law from his alma-mater, the University of Cambridge.
Between 1988 and 1990, he was editor with the New Africa Holdings Limited Kaduna, publishers of Democrat newspapers. He was the Borno state commissioner for forestry and animal resources in 1990 and was secretary to the Board of African International Bank Limited, between 1990 and 1995. He attended the International Institute for Management Development at Lausanne, Switzerland, and participated in the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School, in 1992 and 1994 respectively.
Kyari was executive director, management services, UBA Plc and later the managing director and chief executive of the bank. He was appointed a director of Unilever Nigeria Plc in 2002. He served as honorary member of the presidential advisory council on investment in Nigeria between 2000 and 2005. He is also a director of ExxonMobil Nigeria.

TheImp:
Abubakar Tsav is a top Buhari ally and was on his Presidential Campaign Security Committee

It’s wrong to be sectional in choice of appointees —Tsav

Also speaking, a retired Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav said: “I see the appointments as lopsided. Nigeria is too big to have majority of the appointees from one section of the country.  We have competent people in every part of Nigeria. For that reason, he (Buhari) should spread the appointments to every part of Nigeria.

“If he  (Buhari) is looking for honest people, there are honest people in every part of Nigeria, just as we have dishonest people in every part. Most Nigerians voted for him, even those who did not vote for him are his subjects and he is bound to carry every one along.”

I read comments of some people saying "As long as they will deliver, no problem". While deep inside them, they are pained by these lopsided appointments. Some of his supporters, especially those from the east and some from the West are already regretting.
Northernization of the country is in progress. Buhari is proving us right, He's as predictable as a goat kept within close range with yam.

Before you buy the latest dummies being sold by northern hegemonist and their southern puppets concerning the lopsided appointments by the new govt of Buhari, pls ask yourself, how come the competence of Northerners only manifest in government related work or appointments? How come they never apply for Jobs in Shell, chevron, Agip etc but you see them in large numbers at NNPC and LLNG? How come you hardly here of brilliant SANs from the North, but they dominate the highest echelon of our judiciary? Why is the competence not shining through in private banks, telecommunication companies etc but only in govt parastatals? The over dependence of our northern brothers on govt patronage is the bane of their underdevelopment and the reason they fight tooth and nail to capture power at the centre. It's the reason they would never allow for regional autonomy or devolution of powers, the reason they blackmail other regions with murderous tantrums when they can't have their ways, the reason they inflate population figures and strongly oppose privatization of money guzzling corporations and parastatals however moribund they are

Boko haram will be a thing of the past if the islamic preachers like Gumi continue to preach against the teachings of Boko harams. Boko haram have members all over the north, being a member does not really mean that all of them are fighters or suicide bombers. Many people down north are their sympathizers. Preaching against their ideologies will do a lot in this fight. As military warfare is very important so is psychological warfare. God bless Nigeria and our military.
One surprising thing is they keep talking about fighting Boko Haram but PMB has never talked about investigation who Boko Haram sponsors are. They sure will have some big sponsors other wise how do they get those hilux they use and pay members feeding etc...
who their facilitators are and why the government is not talking about fishing them out all we hear is fight with the ground Boko Fighters.
